Exceptional breakfast and service at Seven Hills, Hilton. I have regularly stayed at this hotel and am pleased to write this review because of the exceptional service that has been consistently provided.Best of all is the energetic team lead Niky who always has a smile and pleasant attitude, and cannot do enough to help her guests. The food is fresh and I am impressed that this hotel manages to keep such loyal employees, they must be doing something right.

BEWARE - Absolutely shocking experience with customer service from reception, I gave my registration number to reception as a guest and there greedy ( outsourced ) car parking issued me with a £100 fine some weeks later - disgusting !! and will NEVER stay there again !!

I had high hopes for our afternoon spa day at this hotel, especially with the inclusion of afternoon tea in our package. However, the experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were left standing at the host desk for about 10 minutes, which was frustrating given that multiple staff members were walking around doing nothing. Eventually, we were seated, but then had to wait 30 minutes for anyone to even approach us. When the waitress finally arrived, she didn’t provide us with a menu, offer tea or coffee options, or even ask about allergies or preferences—basic things that should be standard practice. She simply asked if we were the table for two for afternoon tea and left it at that. After placing our tea and coffee orders, we waited an additional 45 minutes for the afternoon tea to arrive. During this time, no one checked on us. When the tea finally came, it included salmon sandwiches—something we hadn’t been aware of as we didn’t see and a menu and would have asked to be left out due to my mum’s allergy. The staff would have known this had they asked us about allergies or even given us a menu, but they didn’t. When we pointed this out, the waitress rolled her eyes, took the plate away without a word, and returned only to drop the corrected plate without even asking if everything was okay. The food itself was a major letdown. The sandwiches were soggy, the cakes were stale and tasteless, and while the scones were decent, they hardly justified the price or the overall experience. For a hotel that boasts of its spa and dining, the service and food quality were shockingly poor. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service, the lack of care, and the low-quality food. Even on quieter days, the pace is ridiculously slow, the staff are rude, and the food just doesn’t meet any reasonable expectations. I would advise others to think twice before booking here.

Was looking forward to my visit as came a few years ago and the experience of going for Sunday roast was a special one . Very disappointed this visit ,the starters were a variety of different , meats , fish and cheese , salads , a good variety . The carvery was very disappointing , Beef or Turkey , roast potatoes , carrot & swede and cauliflower cheese . Beef was very very pink , very chewy , roast potatoes had Chilli flakes on them , why ? No green vegetables, cauliflower cheese very bland . The dessert were laid out on the table for you to help yourself , cheese cake , soggy profiteroles with watery chocolate sauce , pavlova was missing the cream again not the quality you would expect. After the waiting staff were going around with the tea and coffee but I was not offered either and had to go find someone so I could get a coffee . Not sure what has happened but come away disappointed and won’t be rushing back for the carvery, spoke to a few people in our party and the feeling was the same from all of them.

A lovely cafe inside Tesco. Friendly and attentive, with good food and coffees. Will be sorry to see H&H go from this Tesco pub early May. Wishing the staff well!

Recharge Cafe, Ground Floor. Went here with a friend for lunch. We wanted some quiche which looked very tasty. It was stone cold. Asked if it could be put in the microwave. THEY DON’T HAVE A MICROWAVE. So they were tasteless. Wanted some saucers for our cups of coffee. THEY DON’T HAVE ANY SAUCERS. This is Mercedes Benz. Not some little greasy spoon. Disgraceful. Don’t bother.

Friendly staff, food look fresh and nice, we had the chilli and rice. Which I have to say was overly hot, as in cooked hot, it was lukewarm. Plus the chilli did not have much taste to it. I understand you have to make bulk but just slightly disappointed. Later on though, in the afternoon we had a cup of tea and shared a scone, jam and cream, that was much better.

No complaints at all about the fish and chips at £9.95. It was superb, 5*. But the tortilla with salad arrived without the dressed carrot and cole slaw mix, had to be sent back. No forks so had to use a tiny picnic one use with a proper knife. Courteous and helpful start.

The lady in the till wasn't very nice. After telling us they run out of pasta and chicken, she gets upset because we didn't think in a second option straight away and took us an extra minute to order an alternative. We just ate here because it was already late for the kids, we assume the food is not great but at least we expect a good service to compensate the quality. And btw, how can they run out of anything being a supermarket?????
