The best restaurants in River Arun South East

Visited for the first time to see Dirty Shoes band, was a nice friendly pub. Will definitely be in again if a band is on. (We don't go out much, so we like to see live music when we do.)

We travelled 60 miles and wasn't one bit disappointed. The food was lovely and fresh and didn't have to wait long.The waitress was lovely and my husbands favourite singer Elvis was playing in the background can't wait to come back 🙂

Grest sunday roast all the trimmings, excellent value for money, lovely service feels like you're in a friends home having dinner! Cosy and unpretentious - old school!

Visited on a Sunday morning, quiet enough at 11am, and still tables through beyond 12.30. No football being shown despite a lunchtime game, not the worst thing. Nice that they had the front windows open on a nice day for a bit of a breeze!

Saturday evening 29th and we visited this riverside bar as we were attending a birthday party being held here. We really liked the qwerky and zany decor and fixtures around the establishment, spent some time just walking about looking around. The food that was catered for the party was well presented, lots of it and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive, the bar was clean and well maintained. Perhaps the drinks were a bit more expensive than we are accustomed to, no surprise really due to it’s location.

Went in for a small portion of chips, 3 sausages and a fruit shoot and once arriving home I had checked my bank balance to see I had been charged £37 instead of £12 via Apple Pay! Disappointing food and even more disappointed that I had paid triple the price for it.

Have ordered here before and always loved it until now. I ordered a B & D cheese burger which is my usual with a side of skin on fries. Got here on time and driver was lovely. However as soon as I opened up the box I was confused, the branding that B & D usually have has disappeared and the food all looked slightly odd. Burger patty was thick and hard, couldn’t eat it as it was basically inedible (see photos) tried to eat chips but they are hard and definitely not skin on fries. So disappointing from them as they’ve always been super tasty burgers. £15 not worth spent :(

The dishes we chose Insalada napolitana to share Pizza vegetenaria and pizza marinara All delicious The pizzas were generously filled on a thin crispy base. Best we have ever had. The waitress helpful smiley and friendly. Prices very reasonable House red and white nice good value and the right temperature

Great little take away. The chicken burgers are awesome. The service is 1st class and store is always clean and welcoming.

It was so lovely to beak at Baliffscourt. It was as good as we remembered since our last visit. We went as a last minute booking with our dog. From the minute we walked in the service was amazing and Millie our dog was welcomed too! Food and service was amazing ….we didn’t meet one member of staff who was lovely and friendly. Some names we got were Andrew Chris and Michel who were just amazing but the whole team contributed to our wonderful munch needed stay. Thank you.
