Arun View in Arun

Visited here for a family meal. The food was tasty, service was OK. It is in a nice location next to the river (although it was getting dark so could not see it).

Fabulous food. Lovely position. Our meal was marred by badly behaved children running around. We certainly won't let that stop us going back

Very central. Clean, and staff very helpful. Only lost a star on rooms as the shower was a little 'tired'.

We didn't stay in the rooms, simply enjoyed a dinner. For a start the customer service is 5 star. From the beginnings of making (and amending) a booking on the phone, right until the end of the evening. The girl on the phone was extremely polite, accommodating and competent. The waiter we had, who looked a little like Ben Kingsley, was very good. It seemed to me that he may have been the owner, but I can't be sure. Anyway, his manner was fantastic, not too overbearing yet appropriately friendly and warm. The food was great, and the portions generous. It seems to me that there may still be work to do on the ambience/decor. Not that it was bad, but it's somewhere in-between a pub and a restaurant, which is of course simply what it is. But the pub side of things does make you feel as if you're at an upmarket Wetherspoons. You'd happily have a birthday there, but you wouldn't propose...that kind of vibe. I will say that it was after dark so we didn't benefit from the view / outside seating. I imagine it's a wonderful place to be on a summer's evening.

Have never stayed here but have often visited for family meals. Always good food and good service. The team are fantastic Parking is available but it does get busy of an evening. There were 9 of us for dinner at our most recent visit and, despite a full restaurant, we were very well looked after.

Had a great the waiters and waitress very good at there jobs the food was great and considering how busy it was you didn't have to wait long the food was great and plenty of it the only thing I would of l liked drone different is to have the gravey in a gravey boat it's a thing I like but well done 👏

We had lunch been there many times. The food is very good but this time I had pie and the pastry was soaky.

We went for lunch here previously and really enjoyed it so decided to try again, so glad we did, the Food & the service were excellent again so will definitely be back in the future,

Called in here for dinner whilst taking a super relaxed drive home from Brighton taking the coast road, dropping in at several places along the way. Ended up having a wander around Littlehampton & looking for somewhere decent to eat. The Arun View Inn did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in & announced I would like to eat I was greeted by the most hospitable landlord & offered a choice of tables & so I chose the quieter restaurant area by a window looking straight onto the river Arun. I ordered chicken supreme from the specials board which came with white wine & mushroom sauce, saute potatoes, savoy cabbage & leek, carrots & broccoli. This wascall perfectly cooked,mthe chicken was moist & delicious & the potatoes crisp & golden. A really nice dish which I thourouly enjoyed. The waitressing staff were also very attentive & came & cleared my plate etc as they clocked that I'd finished. I then ordered lemon tarte with raspberry sorbet & raspberry jus which was also jolly nice. I can hand on heart highly recommend The Arun View Inn & would go back there again in a heartbeat. Suffice to say, if I am in the area again, The Arun View will be my go to when the dinner bell rings, as apart from being good, the prices were also pretty reasonable. If you are looking for decent food & good service then go here.

They were busy. We went for Sunday lunch. The food was good but the service... slow.

It's a cute pub restaurant in Littlehampton, we were able to find a seat when we went there around 3-4 o'clock. The food was delicious and we felt very welcome in the restaurant. Fish and chips with a view of the lake was very enjoyable. If you are nearby, I recommend you to stop by. But if you are planning to have dinner, you may need to make a reservation in advance.

Always very busy, food is popular with the OAOs, good pint of Harvey's, great view of the river.

Had dinner and lunch here all weekend. Lovely food, very helpful staff. I used to live here, so I knew the pub previously. In the 5 years I've been away, it's still a lovely place to eat or just drink, inside and outside. The sports bar I've onky been to once but wouldn't again as a little too crowded. The restaurant side and outside along the river are definitely more relaxing, but I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

We’ve just had lunch at the Arun view in Littlehampton, they managed to serve us even though we came 5 mins before closing. The burger was sensational, and the price absolutely banging. We will be back, thank you Zack

Great food and good atmosphere. Nice to find somewhere that doesn't have loud background music and you don't have to shout conversation to be heard by your fellow diners. Lovely river views; spacious dining room and terrace. A real treat to find imaginative vegan options, rather than the same old bog-standard vegan fare. Friendly staff, good service and delicious food.

Good menu selection, great service, and couldn't fault the food. Nice to see the water from the table. Just gave location 4 stars as sometimes parking can be a bit awkward if car park full.

We found this place for lunch during our visit to Littlehampton. We didn't have booking and had a dog but they managed to find a table for us. It was quite busy at the time of our visit but the wait time was very reasonable and food was absolutely amazing! Would visit again 😉

Great location with views of the River Arun. I had pork loin with dauphinois potatoes and spring vegetables. Husband had ham egg and chips. Both meals were delicious

A last minute booking, but what a delightful discovery! The menu offers what seem like plain choices. However the quality of the cooking and the ingredients made every dinner at our table truly remarkable. We will definitely return there.

I went here for an evening meal. Stunning location on the riverside. Book in advance to secure an outsude tavke on a nice day. I just had the Pork Loin mains which was very nice. My partner is vegetarian and chose a Nut Roast which she enjoyed. There were good choices on the Menus and also additional menus for Vegetarian, Dairy Free etc. Would definitely go back again.

Little hidden gem, overlooking the river. We had a beautiful dinner in the terrace, in the sunshine and with lovely flowers borders. Calamari and fish &chip were fresh and lovely. The service was kind and quick. It has parking. I would definitely recommend it and go back there again.

Cycled here from Gosport, didn’t have a destination in mind but the seating on the waterfront looked wonderful. Was very busy so I went into order a desert and coffee. The lady kindly let me pay and instructed me to find a table. I came out with bike and another chap working asked me if I was looking for a table, he said I could take the bench and tell the lady that. They then bought me a table to the bench which was super lovely. Food and drinks came quickly and at the same time. Lovely spot, made the spontaneous trip to Littlehampton worth it. 5 stars!!

Excellent location right by the waterside. However the decor looks like the land that time forgot. I'm guessing it was a working man's pub in the 80s and hasn't been updated since. Very pricey considering (£3.10 for a glass of post mix coke, and £1.30 for a bag of crisps!). There did seem to be plenty of staff, who were all very pleasant. By the look of the customers, I'm guessing it was pensioners special food day.

Had a lovely couple of pints here on my birthday , nice surroundings and next to the harbour , perfect on a hot summers day. Food is fantastic

Nice little pub right on the river which was a good stop on the round loop walk through Arundel and Littlehampton. Only wish we had found the seating next to the river rather than the smaller courtyard by the road

A high-end deck area, and an inside pure window view right on the very bank of the river with very interesting views of river life.... Even though every table (inside) was taken the speed of service (taking orders and delivering food was excellent (and with smiles) and the bar was just as swift.... No waiting at all - on a Sunday lunchtime, too. Good range of food and all affordable. Nut roast was lovely and the steak looked great (and thick !)

Clean and tidy room. Warm welcome. Let down by loud music from the bar through to late in the evening (23:30).

Just on holiday had our lunch there which was fantastic.The service was very good and the waitress was very friendly and polite.

Reviewing the restaurant offering - delicious food served by delightful staff - the Arun view exceeds in all ways. Dinner for two with a window seat in a packed restaurant - great choice of food - tagliatelle was great as was the curry. With the tide out the view of the Arun changes dramatically but thats nature for you!

Excellent food with good choices available and good service. Only marred slightly by a loud, nearly drunk customer on the next table.

Fabulous lunch-time snack break today. The pub snacks of mozzarella bites, chicken strips and skin-on fries were perfectly cooked and delish. Friendly staff and nice location.

Had Ploughmans Lunch n Sea Bass. Everything on my plate was lovely. The cheeses were fresh n tasty , the ham was quality, great bread n butter n chutney tasted home made. Hubbys sea bass was perfect.

We had a great time here. All staff members were so kind and helpful. The bathroom was great! The rooms were nice and the breakfast was delicious! The service here is unmatched. Just know the rooms are above the bar so you will hear those downstairs until it closes if you are someone who needs to go to bed early. We had fun joining in downstairs :)

Visited here to meet a friend I hadn't seen for over 30 years. The staff were very welcoming and we could find a quiet space to sit and talk. Regulars were friendly and parking was easy. Food options also looked great so will be back to try those.

Every time we visit my home town, Littlehampton, we enjoy a wonderful meal at the Arun View. We usually order Steak and Ale Pie. We are never disappointed. It tastes fantastic. My sister ordered fish and chips and was very happy as well.

The Arne view helped put on a beautiful wake for my dad's funeral. They were incredibly kind, thoughtful and the food was delightful. They really helped make a horrible day that bit more bearable. Thank you all so so much

Went today for the first time to the Arun View Inn my mum had been before. Absolutely superb food excellent portion size, fantastic service and a lovely atmosphere. Set on the bank of the River Arun with a great view it is a beautiful place to have a meal, highly recommended.

My fiancé and I eat here almost every week. Obviously we are great fans of the Arun view. Excellent food and great atmosphere good customer service. Reasonable prices.

Having been recommended to have a meal at the Arun View by friends we had lunch with our visitors at the Arun View. Although we had drunk here before we have never had a meal. We hadn’t realised how large the conservatory restaurant was and with a good river view for added interest. We found the menu varied and overall to our liking but as it was "fish friday" I had the fish & chips and my wife the plaice, our friends having a beef and pork dish. We had desserts but my desert was the choux bun with toffee sauce, cream and bananas – an unusual enjoyable dessert. Overall we enjoyed the Arun View and will look to a return meal sometime in the future. Would recommend to persons considering having a meal here.

1 night stay for business. Friendly staff and a lovely clean room. I can not rate the food and restaurant enough, the food is absolutely delicious. If you are in the area, make a pit stop.. calamari and the King Prawn, Crab and Chorizo Tagliatelle is to die for... flavours are fabulous! Kudos to the chef :) The staff were attentive, very polite and accommodating. Good music, relaxed atmosphere, stunning views... would totally recommend!
