The best restaurants in South East

Such a nice place with a beautiful garden—really loved the vibe. I really enjoyed the soft shell crab salad, it was super tasty! But for me, the rest of the food felt kind of average. We spent about £170 for two people with two soft drinks, so I was expecting a bit more.

I love the Handsome Sam. It's a no nonsense ale house with great charm, friendly service and great cask ales. I tried the beer flight of three halves, then settled on a pint of 4.2% Bexley Own Beer. Please take your time to wander over as its a lovely detour from the town centre 🙂

The staff were very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was great, felt very cosy. However, the food was not authentic Italian unfortunately and as an Italian myself I had high hopes, but I don’t think we will be returning! :(

Music ok spent many nights there as there is nothing else in town

The seafood is great. It is a different concept. You order a package of seafood. Than a big bowl arrives to your table with a very hot plastic bag. It it all the goods are: crabs, moules, prawns, lobster, potatoes, sausage ect. All cooked in a unique sauce. The chef and owner of this place invented that wonderfull spicy sauce, that maked the whole diference. Its delicious. The prices are good. The place looks like old dated but, the owner said they are just moving to the main street a new place. You really must go there.

Great cafe for breakfast. Pancakes are delicious and everything is reasonably priced. Friendly staff too. Would recommend

It is expensive and everything about the food was substandard to be honest. The rice was dry, the chicken ball batter didn’t taste fresh and the kung po chicken didn’t taste very good The only pro is that it was delivered very quickly

Our visit to chulo thakali restaurant was a delightful experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore authentic Nepali flavors in a warm and welcoming setting. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, catering to both vegetarians and meat lovers. We started with the chili chicken momo, which were perfectly steamed and filled with flavorful chicken. The highlight of the meal was the thali set, rich with spices, lentil and tender meat, accompanied by fluffy rice. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. Considering the quality and portion sizes, the prices were reasonable. We felt we received great value for our money, especially with the generous portions. We will definitely be returning!

Buen ambiente, y la comida era decente. Pero desafortunadamente, el personal nos dio miradas incómodas. Era un día ventoso. Cierra bastante temprano también.

Had a lovely meal at the 1912 great atmosphere and added bonus of a very good singer Tom Fitzpatrick for some entertainment during the evening, will be returning

Mi nieta tuvo una fiesta de cumpleaños y por error pedimos un pastel de cumpleaños normal (mi nieto es intolerante a los lácteos). Así que estábamos cazando en la calle principal un pastel sin lácteos para darle. Como último pensamiento, llegamos a la costa y explicamos nuestro dilema, el joven que trabajaba allí se tomó el tiempo de leer el libro de alergias y seleccionar un pastel. Como si eso no fuera suficiente cuando fuimos a pagar, él rechazó el pago. Muchas gracias por el excelente servicio al cliente. Toda mi familia usa Costa y esto nos ha hecho querer visitar mucho más a menudo

Lovely warm welcoming tap room with a good range of beers, an easy going atmosphere with lots of nice low level chat. Beers had a couple of lagers, mostly pales, and a stout and a sour.

Me and my mum visited the shop today and were absolutely delighted with our lunch , I had an Italian club Panini and it was definitely the nicest sandwich I’ve ever tasted! Cant wait to return with my boyfriend.
