Jaslicking Seafood Boil, Kent in Swale

An absolute gem. Worth coming to Maidstone just for this. Had the Queen Signature Platter and completely blown away by the flavours. So much seafood in the UK is mush these days but this was crisp and crunchy. A feast on the eyes, a feast on the nose, a feast on the tastebuds and a feast of food in the belly. The taste balance was superb. Loved the spice mix - moderately spicy, perfect salt balance and not too sweet. Cannot recommend enough.

Came here without a reservation but no problem being seated. The food was delicious. My dad really enjoyed the 5 item seafood boil & I loved the spicy rice & corn on the cob. Friendly attentive staff. Will be back to try some more soon.

We had the ‘queen’ boil and it was amazing ! The sauce is to die for! Everything was super fresh and the staff were so friendly. We will definitely be back again 🥰

Food was flavourless, the crab legs and prawns were ok. Restaurant isn't the most aesthetically pleasing but we was expecting the food to make up for it but it just didn't. The garlic bread was burnt and the garlic butter was awful. Service was ok, guy didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing but he was really polite and the girls were too. I don't think I will go back but it could have been a one off.

My partner and I had the most amazing seafood feast Valentine day night! The crab, prawns, and lobster were perfectly cooked, drenched in that legendary Jas sauce—bold, flavorful, and absolutely finger-licking good. The portions were generous, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere made our night even more special.We understand that it was a busy day and staff was overwhelmed but the wait was outweighed with what we got ,the sauce,, is the thing about this place. If you love seafood, this is THE place to be in Kent! Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely amazing, and the flavour was delicious. I can not wait to go back again. My Fiancée had wanted to try this for a while and we found this gem and I highly recommend going and enjoying the experience

Waited over 1hr for the food to be served. The sides did not arrive till I was almost finish eating. The seafood was oily and tasteless... I would not recommend

Went on valentines waited over 35mins for my drinks which was 2 cokes had to call the lady and ask she went away and come back and asked was it two cokes. Messed up the order asked me three times, the food come I wanted no mussels then removed them but still found 4pieces. My crab was frozen cold as ice I had enough by then. I repeatedly had to ask for napkins the staff is so clueless doesn’t even check on customers is so rude when called. A few people on both sides was complaining about waiting for food. First time experience and never again

Visited here with my siblings and we had the most amazing experience. The food was full of flavour, the seafood was amazing quality, there was lots of meat in the crab and lobster portion, as well as loads of sauce to scoop up! Also, the owner was super accommodating and friendly, the service was amazing. This wasn't our first seafood boil, but it was definitely the best we've had. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back with the rest of our family soon!!

Very quiet and we're the only 1s in but put that down to it being January and before pay day. Beautiful seafood boil, and jas special fried rice. Excellent food and great service. Defo will be going again.

Went there on my birthday and it was amazing. Such a great atmosphere, there was only one server/chef and he was so helpful and so kind. The food was absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend, never drop this standard

My first fish boil(daughters birthday)and wow, the sauce is their own recipe and very very good. Btw wear clothes you do not mind getting juiced lol

Food was absolutely delicious, especially the lobster and the sausage would recommend one of the platters. Unfortunately we were the only ones in there but the place was spotless would definitely recommend!

We thought we'd try this place on a quiet Thursday evening and I am so glad we did. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was honestly out of this world. We tried the Queen platter and everything was so well cooked and full of flavour. The lobster tail was the highlight for me, and Jas sauce was delicious. I can't wait to go back already 🤣

We had the king seafood boil with some extras and everything was delicious. The service was good and we were well looked after. The ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection in a tasty sauce.

We have just been for lunch, possibly the best food I have ever had in my life . The staff made us feel so at home. We will 100% be coming back. I can’t wait.

3 adults 2 children. 3 queen platters and 5 drinks. £210. 2nd time I have been here and honestly the sea food platters are very good! Looking at around £40 each, you can share the queen platters with someone and that costs £65. It's surprising they aren't as busy considering their seafood is banging! If your looking for sea food? Give this place a try! Honestly good! 😋🥰

One of the best seafood boils I ever had. Me and my wife (who loves seafood) went to different restaurants for seafood but never come across restaurant with seafood this good. The food was hot and freshly made and the sauce just love it. I felt to keep eating it. We order more food from here. The service was very good, the waiter who served us was very polite and recommended us the dish. I recommended all my friends and family to visit this restaurant.

First time having seafood boil, Jas-licking was the destination to break the virginity, lunch time meal, greeted by Spiwe, shown to table, and given menu, went for Queen Platter with jas sauce, young lad delivered it to table, opened bag, tipped into bowl, the smell was great, food was delicious, left with a nice tingle on the lips, no room for pudding though. Decorated plain n simple, simple menu, lovely staff, excellent food, would definitely be back, thank you.

The food is incredible. The sauce in the seafood boil is like something I've never tasted before. So good I asked for some to take away and the owner was kind enough to do so. Unfortunately, we were the only people in there on a Thursday evening which was a shame. It deserves to be so much busier. We shared the queen platter between 2 which was more than enough food. The only thing I really didn't like was the adverts interrupting the music. I passed this feedback on as it wasn't very professional. Otherwise I highly recommend!

Fantastic food, we had the Kings Platter and it came out hit, fresh and delicious Service was super friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is very basic and has little atmosphere but it won’t deter us from returning.

Booked a table for last Sunday at 4pm. We had an amazing experience, the staff were very attentive and the food was amazing. It was the 2 of us and let me tell you, the £65 boil was more than enough for us so it was really good value. The Jas sauce was so good with just the right amount of garlic and kick to it. We only had soft drinks but all drinks were reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the music, especially the Zimbabwean music. I would recommend anyone to try this place, we needed something like this in Kent. I am already planning my next trip ☺️. Thank you so much for the lovely experience, keep up the good work!

Best seafood boil in the area, plesent staff, clean environment

Omg i found this place accidentally and didn’t know it would turn up to be the best seafood restaurant have been too so far . Had to do a take away for those home to have a taste of what this amazing restaurant cooks. Everything is on point from service to your meal.

Amazing restaurant, easily the best seafood restaurant I've been to and in the top for flavour of anything I've eaten. Supremely well balanced sauce I had to order double garlic bread to not let any go to waste. Excellent value for money and will definitely be dragging everyone I know here.

Delicious food. Good service. Music great. Give it a try. It's a different offer from the usual but well worth it. Food can splash so be prepared to cover up 😉. Menu doesn't give an indication of how many the dishes feed but, as newbies, we ordered smaller dishes and found them substantial. Would like to see starters, salads and coffee available on the menu. Will definitely be returning. Very delicious food and friendly staff.

The food here is so flavoursome! We absolutely loved getting stuck into the seafood with all the tools and gloves and bibs. There’s a really nice mixture of seafood/sausage and corn and potatoes so it’s a well rounded meal. We had a queen bowl between two of us, we probably could have eaten just a little more but it is a really decent portion. There aren’t a lot of side options so maybe some better sides would help to complete everything. The food blew us away but the service let us down a bit. We were a group of 8 so I appreciate that it’s a big table but there was only ever one other table of 2 in at the same time as us. It took forever for us to get drinks and a lot of them just didn’t come out so we had to keep asking. There was also ads playing in between the playlist which was awkward! The restaurant is really quite basic, there’s not a lot of colour or design to it but the food is amazing so I would definitely recommend it! It’s also just really nice to see something a bit different and independent in Maidstone.

What a brilliant little place this is! Came in for a birthday dinner last night and the food was some of the best seafood I have ever tried. I will be coming here again and again. Cooked to perfection and the flavours were out of this world!

We’ve been looking for somewhere like this for a while, and surprised my parents with a meal out. The seafood is lovely and the spicing/sauces are exceptional - enthusiastic staff who couldn’t do enough for us. The only thing is perhaps the music - was slightly too loud but we were too busy eating anyway!! Thank you so much, we will be back ☺️

As big seafood fans, we were so excited to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We got the King platter between 4 and it felt like really good value for money, drinks aren’t overpriced and we left full which can often be quite difficult with seafood. On top of it all tasting really fresh, the sauce was so good my sister wanted to take a container home. Highly recommend and will definitely be back ❤️

Good food! Queen Platter is for 2 but if your hungry enough 1 person can finish it. 2 alcoholic cider and queen platter came to £73. If you share with someone and 2 drinks around £40 each. Good food, good experience, definitely coming again!

Possibly the worst seafood boil I’ve ever had! The seafood was so over cooked and rubbery! The sauce had hardly any flavour, the staff were hard to communicate with. Didn’t listen to what we ordered and it came out wrong. Was given baby wipes to clean hands. Overall experience was really disappointing

Waiter was thick couldnt understand what i was saying took half an hour to bring drinks, food was all frozen no fresh food here guys and my son had a bad stomach as soon as we left. DONT GO HERE GUYS

Amazing food! Served really quickly all food was hot. One of the best sea food boil!!!! I would highly recommend this place to any sea food lover. Very competitively priced.

Good: Service is friendly, and food was served quick Sauce was flavourful, portions (we ordered the king platter) was enough for four hungry persons. Lobster, prawn, corn, potatoes were fresh and cooked well Bad: This seems to be a new establishment and same appears to go with the service team. Asked what was in the jaslicking sauce (butter based? Cajun? Spicy? Plain?) - struggled to answer. I think people with dietary restrictions may struggle here, but I hope this was just one off/temporary. The mussels were really not fresh - tasted like from the frozen stock
