Zig Zag Cafe in Epsom and Ewell

Great cafe for breakfast. Pancakes are delicious and everything is reasonably priced. Friendly staff too. Would recommend

We are here yesterday morning as our hotel didn’t have a chef and we didn’t fancy continental breakfast as our 2 girls have coeliac disease. We found this little gem by chance. I just happened Ed to spot Gluten Free on the menu as we passed. We sat down and spoke to the owner who was only too happy to give the crepe equipment a thorough wipe down so our girls could have a gluten free crepe each. I had poached eggs and avocado on toast- delicious! My husband had the breakfast crepe and was impressed with the quantity of food he received. Eldest daughter had a Nutella GF crepe and the youngest a sugar and better crepe. We each had a smoothie. Four clean plates later, we were all very full and very satisfied. We will visit again if ever in Epsom.

We called here for a drink whilst my son moved into his accommodation (moving from Skipton to attend Laines) I was really anxious about the move and the gentlemen serving started a friendly conversation up and made me feel really at ease that I was leaving my 17 year old son in the hands of Epsom. Such a lovely atmosphere and we returned for breakfast the next day, which was just as good.

Visited Zig Zag cafe this week with my husband. Lovely friendly staff especially owner. Food very tasty. My panini with falafel and hummus delicious. Would definitely return

In Epsom for the races ,looked this place up and it ticked boxes ,very welcoming, nice breakfast altho it was nearly 12 ,seat watching the vibrant scene outside ,places like this are life blood of communities long may they thrive .

Myself and our eldest (7) love coming here on a Saturday morning for breakfast be it scrambled egg or a savoury crepe. Staff are friendly and service is great. Will keep coming (once Lockdown 2 is over!)

Have been here a few times in October and September - very enjoyable smoothie and pancake selection. Quite tasty and cosy. A bit pricey, but in sync with area prices. Worth a try!

I've passed this cafe many times but for whatever reason, never went in, read some reviews today and thought I'd give it a go and I'm so glad I did. The kids had amazing crepes and I had a fantastic mediterranean breakfast. The cafe is bright, clean, very friendly, not expensive and the staff are lovely. Every box well and truly ticked as far as I'm concerned. Highly recommended.

Requested a table for brunch for 4 people via Facebook messenger and pleasantly surprised when I got an immediate reply even though it was late at night. Brunch was fantastic. Menu is varied and we ummed and ahhed what to choose as there are great options on there. None of us regretted our choices of food or smoothies. Service was great and everything arrived steaming hot. Lots of room in the cafe even with social distance in place. As we paid and was asked if everything was ok my youngest daughter replied “it was all yummy and better than Prezzo!” Food was freshly cooked and tasty so I agree much much better than Prezzo!

Visited for the first time today with my mother. I cannot fault this lovely cafe and will be telling all my friends about it. Was made to feel so welcome as soon as we walked in (something I have been moaning about in other establishments due to there being such a lack of good customer service). The first thing that struck me was the wonderful variety of very tempting food and the crepes they offer making it more interesting than your average cafe. They also offer freshly made juices and smoothies. We both tried the detox juice and thoroughly enjoyed it. The whole experience was very pleasant and the staff so friendly. So topped with great food (vegetarian, vegan and allergies all catered for), it is an all round lovely experience and will give it 10 out of 10 and will definitely return.

We eat here regularly and the food is always delicious! There is a wide range of food options and the smoothies are lovely. Very friendly staff too! Would highly recommend Zig Zag Cafe!

Went with my daughter for breakfast. The smoothies and coolers are fantastic. I had a melon refresher and my daughter a strawberry smoothie. Both great size and taste. The tutti frutti crepe was sensational and I think the honey was fragrant blossom honey with it. I should have asked but it tasted much more special than ordinary honey. My daughter had a spinach mushroom and feta crepe which she also rated highly. I will be back there for breakfast before the end of the month if all all possible!

Great service with lovely crêpes especially the ones with strawberries and nutella. Great coffee. Good prices. Nice decor. I suppose some more attentive cleaning to the floor areas underneath the table would be ideal but that’s a very very minor thing.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, crepes and smoothies are amazing! Location is good and decor is nice.

We came here for first time and also for first time since Covid-19 closed everything.Staff are fantastic, social distancing and hygiene observed and the food was really lovely.We had vegetarian savoury crepe and all day breakfast, as well as coffees. Both meals were cooked to perfection and we were comfortable throughout.Will be returning and would definitely recommend a visit, especially to those cautious among us who are unsure about emerging from lockdown.

This is our go to place to eat during the day in Epsom. Mike and Carmen are great hosts and Carmen's pancakes are the best. Fresh juices too, we love it

We were regular lunchtime visitors to Zig Zag before the corona crisis. Have just discovered that they are now offering home delivery. Ordered at once. The paninis are as good as ever.Look forward to the day when in is possible to visit in person and chat to Mike and Carmen.

Wife and I have used this place a few times now and its always a great meal served by such pleasant people. The guy who owns it is so friendly and always keen to ensure we have a meal that meets the needs of my wife who requires gluten free. If ever your in Epsom, make a point of coming to the East St end of the High St and stop off here. You won't be disappointed.

Me and my boyfriend always come here on saturday for breakfast, we always have the breakfast crepe which is so delicious and fullfilling that we normally stay full for the rest of the day. It's always cozy inside and the staff and owner are always nice.

Very tasty pancakes is a decent choice and the smoothies wash them down well!! Service is friendly and quick.

Great food and coffee with friendly and efficient service. The crepes are very fresh, well made and tasty. The Mediterranean breakfast was a nice twist on egg on toast, with olive, spinach and feta making a great combo. Nice place.

Lived in Epsom the last 2 years and came across this hidden gem today.Such a lovely cafe serving the most amazing crepes. They also cater for gluten free aswell which is really good. Crepes are really good size and very filling too. I had a vegetarian one which was very nice and very full. My brother had a gluten free Mexican chicken crepe which was very tasty. Staff very friendly too.

We were greeted by a very friendly man who I think is the owner. I ordered the Gluten Free Crepes with Cinnamon. Absolutely Delicious. My partner ordered the Omelette with Bacon and Cheese which he said was really tasty. Great Coffee.

Food was not great and the man in the café looked miserable, wont be back in a hurry better places to go.

This was our second visit to this lovely little cafe and again we were not disappointed. Located at the Odeon cinema end of Epsom High Street this is a wonderful little cafe. As we were watching the film in the afternoon we decide to have a light bite, the cafe is a short walk from the Odeon and so is ideally located. The staff are always happy and it is quite evident that they have many regular customers as a result. The menue is varied ranging from paninis, to salads and crepes with amazing fillings. The prices are very reasonable and this cafe is thoroughly recommended. Go and see for yourselves, you won't be disappointed.

Finally discovered my favorite spot in Epsom. Absolutely love everything about this place, its that energy that is difficult to describe, the place either has it or not. Zigzag had definitely got the right vibe, makes me and my kids happy each time we visit.! Thank you!

What a wonderful cafe! They have everything down to beautiful coffee, smoothies, pancakes, soups, breakfasts!! It so good! And being celiac they cater to all your dietary needs as well as being so so friendly!! I’d recommend this cafe to everyone I know! If you’re thinking about visiting you most certainly should!!

This is everything a neighbourhood cafe should be. Homemade vegetable soup was absolutely delicious, one of the best I have ever had. Beautifully prepared crepes followed. The service was charming and friendly. I would move to Epsom just for this cafe!

Recommended as a good place to have a light lunch by the staff of the Leeds Building Society, my friend and I tried this today. We had the soup, which is homemade and comes with half a baguette and butter and very reasonably priced. It was delicious. We had lovely service and followed our soup with a slice of home made orange sponge and a coffee. Honestly I cannot find any fault, yummy food, great service, what's not to love? We don't go to Epsom very often but wish we had found this café before.

I was looking forward to visiting this local cafe but unfortunately I was sadly disappointed. Service was indifferent at best, while one member of staff quite ignored me. Being charged a fortune for a small drink didn't help.

I have had several sit-down meals at Zig Zag Café, as well as many takeaway salads. Everything has been fresh, nice to look at, tasty and the portions are always huge! Very friendly staff, a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by especially when it's sunny and the front windows are open.

I keep walking passed the cafe and thought I’d pop in for brunch with friends today as the menu looks so tasty...lots of different flavour crepes and panini’s.

Zig Zag has come into its own during the recent sunny spell in Epsom. The ambience, quality of customer service has not dropped while being packed out. Why do other café restaurants not get to know their customers. And treat them the way they would like to be treated at home.

I was looking for a somewhere for a quick bite to eat for lunch before a meeting. And stumbled across this cafe on the high street. I am not familiar with the area, but it was busy, and looked inviting.

Had the most delicious savoury crepe for lunch and it was so good I couldn't resist a sweet one with cinnamon too! Super friendly staff and a warm atmosphere (also good wifi!)

With a wide range of choice for lunch Zig Zag is the place for me. Friendly staff, good food and excellent ambience to enjoy, crepes, soup, homemade cakes and a coffee. Rustic charm just makes it a different experience from the standard branded cafes around the town

I come to this wonderful cafe most weeks because it does the most amazing fresh food. They create beautiful crepes, sandwiches, salads, fresh jucies etc.. If you are vegan or gluten free no worries, they are very welcoming and have many delicious options. I would totally recommend the falafel crepe and Go Green juice! a great start to the weekend. Of course they also have coffees, and sweet crepes if you fancy a treat. Families, couples, students, business people all mix in this cosy and friendly cafe.

I've had lunch here a couple of times recently - the first time I had a panini and sweet crepe, and the second a savoury breakfast crepe. Both meals were very good, and as other people have commented, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

A savoury and sweet crepé that were delicious with an apple, carrot and ginger juice drink that was the best I’ve tried in any café. Great veggie and vegan options and also not a very sugar dependant menu. A very nice set up too and comfortable seating.

The interior is so chic and comfortable, very friendly and smiley staff as well! We got the cinnamon, walnut and honey crepe and a savoury egg, spinach and tomato crepe! Loved both of them! Definitely check out this place :)

Had a brunch with my teen daughter, ordered 2 portions of scrambled eggs (one with mushrooms and another with bacon) and a feta and olives salad. All was fresh, the salad was crisp and generous, lots of feta, and the whole feel of the place was homey and relaxing. Good prices.

Had a cheese, spinach and tomato crepe and a genuine freshly squeezed OJ, which was bliss, Panins and baguettes also available, as well as coffees and smoothies. Absolutely lovely staff, warm and friendly and they really looked after us well.

The menu is small and limited, but everything is done superbly, despite the apparent simplicity. I guess it comes from the quality of the ingredients, the precise use of herbs and being made with love.

We found Zig Zag by chance when we needed a quick lunch. The food, service and friendly atmosphere were so good that we are now regulars. We love their choice of crepes and paninis; home-made soups are delicious too. Good value for money.

Came in here with my 5 year old daughter on a rainy day because it's hard to find anywhere child friendly in Epsom and she was immediately treated like a long lost friend by the owner! Lovely service, wonderful food and my daughter loved the face on her Nutella crepe! Will definitely be coming back again.

Me and my partner came here at lunchtime. We had to wait for our paninis long time and it was tasteless. Found a hair in it too. Never again.

Whilst waiting for an appointment, I thought I'd try their food. Lovely quiet little place and friendly staff. Savoury Crepe was delicious and a must try. I will definitely come back.

I have visited Zig zag cafe twice in the past fortnight for lunch. Both times, I was in the area for some specific errands as I don't live locally. On both occasions I ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and salmon. The owner is a lovely guy, always trying to please. I had them make gluten free crepes for me to take away as my son is a celiacs. 2 minutes in the oven, and they were served for dinner. Happy to report, they well appreciated by the family.

Me and my dad came here for a quick lunch and both fancied a crepe. I had the gluten free option with feta and spinach and my dad had the same but the non gluten free option. My crepe was really nice and exactly what I wanted. It's really hard to find gluten free options that taste nice and I have to say it didn't disappoint me. The service was really good they were really friendly and the atmosphere was quite relaxed. No doubt about it I will defiantly be going back.

This was our first visit and as we walked in the door we were met with lovely smooth background music and a wonderful aroma.
