The best restaurants in West Kirby and Thurstaston Wirral North West

Warmly greeted by Iain. His singing and the ambience light and cheerful. I had the 18 hole breakfast which was delightful and the coffee was hot just how I like it. I would definitely recommend and eat here again.

What an amazing place. Excellent food and amazing service. The ice cream is amazing too. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be going back again.

Outstanding little tapas place. One of the best I have tried in the UK. Friendly staff but the food is really special. We are so lucky to have this in West Kirby. Better than the options across the water Busy and always booked up at weekends so plan ahead and book 2 weeks or more in advance.

Have been to the white lion a few times on a Thursday evening for a quick pint or two when out with the lads for a local mountain bike ride. The place is booming when we go with live music and although we are all in bike clothing etc I've never felt like I was unwanted if you know what I mean. Nice old school place that's bigger than it looks. Give a Thursday night a try you will be surprised 👍🏻👍🏻

5⭐️ for everything. Took my children for a meal over Christmas. The drinks (they do cocktails and mocktails amongst a lot of other choices were of a bar standard, not overly sweet, swear they have a mixologist as no other food establishment gets them that perfect! The food was stunning, we’ve tried other Indian restaurants before trying here and now have found “the one”! The decor, atmosphere and music went down very well with all of us and the staff are perfect, friendly and not too in your face but there if you need anything. There are extra touches others don’t have, can’t recommend enough 🌟

Visited the fabulous hectors today, this is our go to place for lunch. I had a coronation chicken salad roll, which I hadn't yet tried, and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you to all the staff once again for delivering the best portions and the best service!! 👌

I LOVE this place. We had the prawn crackers and pork spring rolls to start. Prawn crackers were obviously homemade and not the usual bright white colour. Me and my Mrs both had the chicken Massaman curry and egg fried rice. The curry is so so so so good, honestly the best I’ve had. Second time I’ve been here and I was half expecting to be disappointed as I didn’t think it would live up to the first time. But it did ! It’s amazing and the fact that all the chefs are Thai women and hardly speak English you just know you’re getting good food. Not open 7 days a week so be sure to check online !

Visited today to show a friend Thurstaton Common. This place has always had a great reputation, and the scone we ordered was great, but the waitress on the till was very rude and dismissive when half the cakes were brought out and 10 mins later we asked where the rest of the cakes were. The hot food we ordered was average at best and not worth the prices. As a local, I don't think we will be back unfortunately.

What a shame about the awfully slow service. There were lots of staff, as you'd expect on a Sunday lunchtime, and not many customers, so I guess the delays are caused by the kitchen. We arrived at 1:00 and ordered drinks, then ordered our food at about 1:15 and it began to arrive at 2:00. It was nice enough for the price, but it arrived so late, and at different times for different dishes.

Great service and lots of ribs! Food is fabulous, I just wish they sold the bourbon glaze, kids love the cinema here too.

Took my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 13th Birthday , so 2 tables , one for the girls , one for my wife and step mum. The staff were amazing , welcoming and friendly as always, the food was delicious , they allowed us to serve my wife's home made cake , sing happy birthday etc . Couldn't nor have asked for a better time , so a huge thank you to Est for a brilliant day

Spent 25 pounds on 🐀 wouldn't eat took food back and kicked off on the wife never go back there again

My wife and I called in for mid-day meal on a Saturday as we had not been here to eat for some time. We were shown to a table for two after a short five minute wait as we had not booked a table. We were going to chose from their very good sandwich menu but then we saw that they wee still doing breakfasts and so switched to them - we had one small breakfast and one medium one together with a decaf tea and a latte coffee. The staff were friendly, especially Phoenix as we amended our order a few times but he smiled and just got on with being very personable. The breakfasts were very good: tasty, juicy sausages, crisp bacon, nicely fried eggs, tomato and mushroom with hash brown and thick crunch toast. The hot drinks were good too and so it was a most enjoyable midday lunch. The bill came to £24.85, so £27.50 with a tip. Well worth a visit.
