Excellent food, excellent friendly service. Only disappointment was the addition of the 10% service charge on the bill, with the option to ask for its removal or change. Much prefer to add a discretionary service charge of my choice when bill is presented.

Amazing Afternoon Tea. We spent a couple of hours indulging in an excellent Afternoon Tea. The reception was efficient and the table a perfect size for 2. Can’t praise the food and service enough. We were served a wonderful array of crustless finger sandwiches; moist with plenty of filling, choice of white/ brown bread. Allergies considered. There was a savoury item too ( changes regularly) and we were offered Scotch eggs; dainty but tasty. The sweet collection offered a selection of tray bakes and the traditional scones with clotted cream Traditional tea pot and fine China, coffee available too. Booking essential with payment in advance. Cash only or Bank Transfer. Highly recommend.

On the positive side we thought the food was generally tasty, however our meal was spoilt by flies- we spent most of the meal trying to keep flies off ourselves and our meal. Not a pleasant experience and the staff was unconcerned. Would not go back.

It was the first time my granddaughter and I visited this café Lateral, We were quite impressed with the service and cleanliness of the café , and great coffee and food

The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, you only had to ask and it would be done for you, I would definitely recommend this restaurant in Southport

I have been to Scrando's many times and it never fails. Whether you are on a pub crawl or a family looking for a place to eat that will actually accommodate kids (rare in Hoylake) then this place is a real gem. The menu is tailored to be American Fast Food but there are often specials in addition to the main menu, likewise there are often themed days that kids love added into the mix (see facebook). For those on a budget they often do deals and on this particular day when I went, my youngest ate for a quid which included a burger, fries and a fruit shoot. Likewise, we had the four beers for £12 deal which in the summer is brilliant value. It's one of the best eateries in Hoylake. Granted many will go to pubs or restaurants if they are going out with friends but for those that want a quick bite or looking for a place that actually wants kids there, this place is not to be missed.

We love it here we like to walk on the beach at West Kirby and we always end up here @ Sweet Pea cafe never disappointed yet menu is good as is selection

Food was great, service was great, enjoyed our time there, will go again, dog friendly and they brought over water and dog snacks without asking, really nice touch…

A real gem in West Kirby! We loved Aubergine Café so much, we visited twice during our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. The café itself is a beautiful, airy space with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The coffee was excellent, and the food was just as impressive—everything fresh and full of flavor. But the real standout? The cake! Absolutely delicious, with a great selection that made it hard to choose (so we didn’t—we came back for more!). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, quality café experience in West Kirby. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
