We went last night for my birthday and the service and food was absolutely amazing, my son has severe allergies so I’d phoned in advance to pre warn them…they went above and beyond and I’m very grateful, thank you! We’ll definitely be back 😀

Food was not good , fish was more batter then fish but the chips were fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Loads of screen everywhere which is quite distracting. Lunchlys would be better 😔🤦‍♀️

Visited for Sunday Lunch today. Lovely staff . Food served quick . Great Service. Roast dinner was 10/10 . Perfect portion size . . My 10 year old isn’t a fan of roast dinners but he cleared his plate so Hats off to the chef . we’ll definitely return and already recommended to friends.

What to say about this wonderful eating experience it was outstanding as the food was truly amazing and tasty possibly the best roast dinner I've ever ever had the service top class and beautiful environment to eat in... sort of rustic old fashioned in decor... id strongly recommend this place and it would be hard to find fault here as the food was really that good, treat yourself and if you want the ultimate roast dinner come here oh enjoy

We tried to book a couple of venues in Hoylake for a group of 8 for Sunday lunch. It was difficult to get replies but when I contacted the 21 Amendment they came back quickly and made the booking process really easy. The staff were very warm and welcoming. We had a lovely family Sunday lunch. Thank you all - I’d highly recommend this venue. 🙂.

The service was really efficient and friendly. The food was ok, but only one slice of meat on an £18.00 roast dinner seems a little bit stingy. Some of the roast potatoes were hard in the middle. I will try it again to see if this was a one-off. It is very handy for the train station and there is free on street parking nearby.

Excellent and friendly staff, superb food, the chef is a perfectionist when it comes to flavour and presentation, we have never had a problem even though they get so busy, everything was tip top.

Lovely food.. we had the Wednesday night Steak night deal which was still on when we visited on a Thursday .. so glad it was … We had the starters of chicken and calamari which were very good portion size . Mains were flat iron steak for me and ribeye for my son .. we ordered sides of salad with Parmesan and green beans with feta cheese .. our steaks were cooked to perfection.. mine well done but beautifully tender .. my sons medium ..the portion size was amazing ..we were really too full for dessert but ordered tiramisu.. thought it would be light until we saw the portion size …I somehow managed to finish mine .. my son admitted defeat after one spoonful .. although I could not finish his for him .. I took the remains home and my husband had a lovely surprise on his return home .. This menu was around £18 for 2 courses .. an absolute bargain .. I have been for the Sunday lunch before ( which is also amazing) What a lovely visit .. and a shout out to our lovely server who not only was very attentive to our table but made our cocktails from scratch and they were lovely as well as serving behind the bar .. did not catch his name but tipped him on way out and thanked him

Yet another fantastic roast, enjoyed by everyone. Everything cooked to perfection, lamb was sensational, melt in your mouth. Wonderful from starter to dessert, and drinks were fab too!

Food is over priced for the quality. The atmosphere was good during the Euros but otherwise I wouldn't bother. You can get much better, cheaper food and drink in Hoylake.

Amazing first time experience! The inside was lovely and comfortable, felt like someone’s well kept local but the food was what made the trip, it was phenomenal and I would go back again just for the corn ribs! Amazing servers as well, thank you Tyler, Vicky and Michael, you’re all fab!!!

Yet another fantastic Sunday roast for me and my mum (her first time eating a roast here) Starting with the amazing cheddar croquets which were delicious. Mains - lamb roast dinner. Exceptional. Tender, melt in your mouth lamb, with the perfect amount of sides, including carrots, red cabbage, green beans, roasties, and cheesy broccoli and cauliflower. Topped with flavoursome gravy and mint sauce - no wonder 21a has been awarded best roast in the Wirral. My mother lost most of her taste bud's a few years ago and it's rare she can taste the things she is eating. Well she could taste every single flavour and combination on her plate tonight and we walk away very happy customers! Was absolutely worth the journey over from Liverpool. Food accompanied by exceptional, friendly customer service, staff that are always looking to help. Amazing cocktails - very refreshing Aperol Spirtz and Hugo Spritz!! Honestly an amazing evening, fantastic food, delicious drinks, sensational service! 5/5 for everything 21a Hoylake.

Was really looking forward to dineing here,but was sorely dissapointed, ordered Fish and chips, fish was nice with a good batter, but was on top of the worst fries i have ever had and i am 66, there was no potao left on these excuse for fries, and i was hungry as i had just finished work, so i tried to eat a few, but had to chew them, the tartare sauce was quite bland some capers no gherkins parsley or lemon or seasoning, peas in a small cup, the whole mealon an old chopping board, when i complained to the manager Toby, he never offered any recompence just a half hearted apology, the ladies who were sat next table also had fries and they just looked undercooked and greasy, my chopping board sat there even though toby came back and forth to serve these young ladies, never once did he ask if my meal was ok,or take away board, also no draught bitter, but music was good, TV,s everywhere showing old F1 race, will not be going back

Great service! Ruby is a star! Always remembers us and our drink order. Always greets us with a smile. Joe is also another asset to this pub, both are super friendly and welcoming!

We all had a roast dinner there was 7 of us it was beautifully presented so tasty and such a great portions as well. The staff were so welcoming and helpfull. Atmosphere was fab x would deffo recommend eating here.

We were looking for somewhere to sit outside with the dogs and have some food and drink when we came across this place. What a great find, we went with the small plate options and everyone was amazing!! Definitely recommend and will be returning 😋

Great service from start to finish. It was a very busy afternoon as the football was on. This did not affect our experience. A member of the floor staff noticed us within a couple of minutes of our arrival we were early and she advised us our table wasn’t quite ready which was fine and we went to get a drink from the bar. She came to find us at the time we had booked for and the service from when we were seated was so good. Very attentive nothing was too much trouble. Roast dinners beautiful. Very lovely afternoon.

Friday afternoon catch up with friends. Had a great burger and chips, really tasty. It was happy hour on the drinks too, so excellent value. Lots of tvs around to watch sports, and very comfortable seating. Only saw one member of staff who was serving drinks and taking/bringing food orders, and she was friendly and efficient, coping well as it wasn't too busy. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit (5 of us) and would definitely recommend to friends.

Really delicious food and great service from Ruby. I visited with a couple of friends midweek and had never been here before. It is quite a sporty place with football on but wasn’t rowdy and a nice atmosphere. We ordered about 9 dishes from the small plates that we didn’t think we’d get through but everything was absolutely delicious. I’d be hard pushed to pick out recommendations as it was all lovely but I’d say Chilli beef, whipped goats cheese and the surprise hit for me was the cauliflower barges. Ruby looked after us brilliantly. I will definitely be back

Food was good. Service excellent. Mire oc a sports pub with plenty of screens for viewing football. Seating not particularly suited for disabled. High tables or steps up to lower/ normal tables. Not ideal for disabled persons or wheelchair users through front access which did have a step up,level and then down again.

This fantastic gem of a place is easy to find with parking available off the main road right outside. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by a team of extremely friendly staff who can’t do enough to make your visit as pleasant as possible. With 9 tv’s well positioned you are never sat out of view of any sporting event being shown. Other entertainment includes live singers and an open mike night. When there isn’t any entertainment on the bar is filled with well chosen music setting the perfect environment. The bar is well stocked boasting an adequate selection of spirits, beers. and wine. The food is second to none, every time I’ve eaten here I’ve been extremely impressed. Seasoned to perfection, bursting with flavour and presented perfectly. On my last visit I had the bacon cheese burger and my friend had the ribs, absolutely beautiful ! If you’re in the area don’t miss the opportunity to experience what this place has to offer.

This establishment is the opposite of the TARDIS - it's much smaller on the inside than it looks from the outside. It's a sports fan's utopia, with a dazzling array of TV screens, each of which competes for customer attention. Beer is restricted to keg offerings, but there's a reasonable choice at reasonable prices, particularly during "happy hour(s)". The food was ok, if slightly overpriced, service was excellent. It was busy; the clientele were typical sports-bar punters (whatever that means). The atmosphere was pleasant during our Monday afternoon visit.

I wanted a sports type bar that I could take my son to for some food and to watch the football. This was perfect!

What a fantastic restaurant! I ordered the ‘Pan-seared Shrimp’ and the ‘Ribeye’ steak and highly recommend both, they were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing!

A warm welcome to accommodate Mum’s wheelchair from Ruby who was attentive & professional throughout our meal. Fab menu particularly for GF choices so this relaxed us even more as usually we struggle. The food was delicious & beautifully presented -great value - the team really added to my Mum’s birthday - thank you all.

Came back to 21st Amendment, had the roast chicken dinner, my mouth was watering before I began eating (just at the sight of the food). The food was sooo tasty (again), couldn't fault the service or the atmosphere (very friendly & welcoming). We will be coming back again!!!

We chose the buttermilk chicken tenders, and ribeye steak with fries and peppercorn sauce. The chicken was so tender with a lovely crispy coating, well cooked. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and succulent. Will definitely go again!!

Been every week for lunch for month or so. Very quiet but really enjoyed toasties, chips were very tasty too. This week menu had changed. Really struggled to find something we liked, everything seemed to have a Korean sauce! Opted for 2 x burgers and chips and battered sea bass and chips. Black skin on fish made batter slimy, so my son wouldn't eat it, so I swapped with him. Wasn't impressed! My husband sent his burger back as it was very pink when he bit into it, only to be told that is how a burger is supposed to be. We weren't charged for it, but left disappointed. Unfortunately, we won't be visiting again.

Regular visitors to Hoylake and this was our first visit here, really enjoyed it. Nice service, good food and the cocktails were fab too. We will definitely visit again next time we are in town.

It's always a pleasure going to this bar, the staff are always pleasant and friendly, and never hesitate to help out their customers.

Fabulous tasty food, great atmosphere , great service 5*

In a way I’m quite sad to not be able to give 5 stars as this is a local business and I want it to succeed. However, our Sunday roast main course really wasn’t as good as we had expected. Our starters were lovely, very hot and clearly just cooked. No problem at all, very tasty and so we were really looking forward to our roast dinners. But they were only lukewarm. The only bit that was hot were the roast potatoes, which were lovely. But the meat, the gravy and the remaining vegetables weren’t. Such a shame as our desserts again were lovely. So this along with the very strange way drinks were served (one at a time with minutes between each drink) means that we will be staying with our current go to restaurant for our Sunday roast. Such a disappointment given other reviews are all so positive.

Went here for open mic night on a Sunday. We didn't eat but there were plenty of people who were enjoying what looked like nice meals. The place isn't as big inside as I was expecting and there is definitely a younger crowd here. The place was very noisy with groups of young men obviously enjoying themselves.

Great selection of light bites(tapas) pork tacos, fries, Korean chicken recommended.

Food is very good but not a pleasant place to be at lunchtime. Very loud music which we asked to be turned down. Builders shouting across the restaurant, ladders and tools left out. I know they have to do maintenance work but they shouldn't have paying customers in whilst it's going on. Shame really.

My husband and I visited yesterday for the Sunday roast, I had the lamb, which fell apart and my husband had the belly pork. The vegetables were gorgeous and beautifully presented. My husband had the Korean fried chicken to start and I had the brownie with ice cream for dessert. This is our go to place for the Sunday roast, it’s so tasty.

We visit 21st amendment regularly as their roast dinners are Top Notch every time. Quality of the food is exceptional and the staff are lovely. It is a place you simply must try!

The food was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection, the pepper sauce was out of this world and my partners fish and chips was beautifully cooked, batter was very light and crispy and the chips where nice and crunchy but super fluffy on the inside. Food came super fast and the service was excellent. Brill value for money and would definitely recommend.

We go as a group for quiz night on a Thursday each month and always have a great evening! Also visit regularly for food, drinks and a coffee which is also great - lovely outside area and plenty of space. Most importantly we can take...

The best spot in Hoylake. Food is absolutely amazing - I had small plates and cocktails. The menu changes regularly including steak night, 3 for £15 on small plates etc. Staff are lovely - and lots of live music. 100% reccomend!

Went to watch the U21 euros final a few days ago. Friendly staff and quick service even though it was busy

Called here while playing a round of golf, had a fab lunch, great food , great service and a reasonable price all in all great value will be calling in here on a regular basis. The other bonus is it’s dog friendly so the pooch can tag along as well.
