Barbetta's in Wirral

Barbettas is my go-to place for everything, from quick morning coffee to Private Parties. I recommend it to everyone I know. The key thing for me is that all of the food is freshly prepared on site and you can actually watch them doing it.. say no more! The wine selection is fantastic and the staff are always more than happy to help, make recommendations, or just have a chat. I have attended the Spanish night recently it was amazing value for money, food was obviously delicious and the atmosphere was something else. I could have been in Spain! Over-all haven't got a bad word to say about this lovely establishment and its even lovelier team! If you are thinking of trying Barbettas - GO! You will not be disappointed.

My friend and I attended their jazz night and we had such a wonderful evening. I’ve visited a few times to Barbettas and every time I feel like I am welcomed with open arms they make you feel so at home. All of the staff are just so lovely people, service is great and food and cakes are wonderful. When leaving you feel I’ve just had a warm hug! Love this place

On the Saturday night jazz nights music is great but the food is not up to standard and also needs to be varied. It is a set menu and they need to understand a basic fact. It impossible to roast baby potatoes in their skins

We held a function here. Absolutely fantastic. A real hidden gem. I would recommend this place to anyone planning a function. Excellent food and service.

Came here for lunch, after I had tried the salt and pepper sausage roll and curried squash tart which was amazing! I had the pastrami and cheese toastie and the slow cooked brisket on flat bread both were unreal & so fresh! The staff are lovely and you can see the food being prepared by the chef. Would really recommend!

Friendly attentive staff, dog friendly, and excellent food, the summer toasted cheese was especially good as was the chicken shawarma. The sausage roll looked great to so took one home and it was out of this world.😋

I had the full English breakfast here and it was top notch. The bar is set very high for café breakfast menus in Hoylake's plethora of cafés and Barbetta's offering glides over the bar with ease. The coffee was excellent too, if served a little too hot for aficionados. I was so eager to dive into the excellent-looking breakfast that I forgot to take a customary photo. Service was excellent. It was very quiet, first thing in the morning, so I can't comment on the atmosphere.

We lucked into finding this gem by chance and were glad we did. Amazing food at reasonable prices. Staff were so friendly as well. We went back every day we were in Hoylake for The Open. If we ever get back to Hoylake we will definitely be going to Barbetta’s too!

We had our wedding reception here and can't express how much the team did for us to have the best time ever with our guests. The incredible homemade food, drinks and attention to detail was more than we imagined and everyone said it was the best wedding they'd been to. The team were extremely attentive and we feel really lucky to have had such a wonderful time. We've eaten here lots and it had always been faultless with the chefs being passionate about the food. I would highly recommend, best place and a must visit when in hoylake.

Once again a fantastic lunch and service a smile. The Reuben is delicious! A great place to visit if you’re heading for a walk at the beach. Wonderful cakes and pies too! Always where we head when we drive over from Knutsford. Thanks as always.

Had a fabulous lunch today in this charming Deli /Bistro. A delicious smell assails you as you walk in the door of baking pastry , bread etc. A great ambiance , warm, friendly and excellent service from attentive staff. I had the beautiful Brisket of beef slow cooked in red wine and encased in golden brown rough puff pastry, my partner had a huge ground pork shortcrust pie which was beautifully seasoned, accompanied with a crisp well dressed salad delicious slaw and a huge bowl of piping hot thin cut chips , each. I purchased to take away their delicious and massive sausage rolls, plus further amazing pies and wonderful cakes. I can highly recommend Barbetta’ s and will return again very soon. Took my friend there for a quick lunch, super friendly staff - asked for some recommendations and we went with a toastie and the Rueben. Both were incredible, the Reuben was so tasty never had one before and was huge! Lovely little venue friendly staff can’t recommend enough

This is an absolute gem of a place, the food is Incredible and extremely well made, and the staff are lovely and friendly. Wooden tables, lots of plants and fairy lights give a beautiful ambiance. Sourdough soldiers with chicken paté, quince jelly and rocket salad as a starter was probably my favourite

Food was simple but so well done, highly recommended.

Salmon crostini and a slow cooked beef stew plus a glass of Argentinian Malbec . Very nice hearty food , excellent service and music to our liking too !

Excellent food, had a hot pastrami sandwich which took me back to my 1st visit to New York with the Navy. Friendly staff and nice surroundings. Dog friendly. Recommended.

Great service. Fabulous, tasty food

Great place to eat, the food and staff are superb. The sandwich melts are on another level, and worth every penny. My favorites are the Ruben and the Cuban, both served in thick sliced toasted house sour dough. Good range of drinks and craft sodas too. They've recently moved their takeaway service up the road, where they sell some of the best pies and sausage rolls I've ever had. The cakes can be a little hit and miss. I've had some that were amazing and some that were a little below par (e.g.Bakewell Blondie - 25/06/21), which is a shame. Over all, I've had a really positive experiences everytime I've been to Barbettas, and possibly one of my favourites.

Stumbled across this gem on a miserable wet day, and it transformed our visit to Hoylake. Fabulous food, nice craft beer, very friendly and attentive staff. Definitely recommend this place!

Awesome baked goods with huge variety - the vegan sausage roll is the best I have tasted. Such friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere too, I would highly recommend Barbettas!

Although all the food was homemade, I thought there was a lack of imagination given to the vegetarian platter, too much cheese and onions All pastries contained cheese with onions of some description, only other choice was a mushroom tart but even this contained cheese Shame.

Barbetta's. A warm greeting, great food, friendly atmosphere. Particularly like the tents outside. Cosy but COVID secure. Fantastic idea!

Lovely sour dough toast covered in delicious Wirral butter. Fab coffee. All staff were cheerful, friendly and efficient.

Really good cafe/bistro serving an interesting and tasty menu with a deli too. Good service, unhurried (no not slow, just not hitting the table after 2 minutes). Latest visit I had a cumberland ring, what a great sausage sarnie! Will be back to try out the evening bistro with a glass of wine.

Lovely food, great but please a tea bag in a cup! No jug of hot water just squash your tea bag against the cup no were to leave it only in your saucer asked for hot water and was brought in a cup....

We had the most beautiful lunch here yesterday! My husband and I shared a bowl of the home made chips and and we had a sun-dried tomato sausage roll each! WOW! Everything is handmade fresh each morning And on site! It is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the beautiful setting! If anyone is to complain about the price they should walk down the road and get a ‘meal deal’ from subway, you get what you pay for. Knowing that everything is locally sourced only adds to the appeal! Can’t wait to go back!!

This is an absolute gem of a place! The atmosphere and the decor are lovely. You get a really relaxed and friendly feeling when you go in. The staff are fab, nothing is too much trouble and they are really knowledgeable about all of the produce, where it comes from and how it is made. There’s a lot of vegan produce as well, which is really nice to see! The food is delicious, so fresh and full of flavour, and reasonably priced I think, for the quality that you get. I think this will become my new regular place to eat out!

I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally have a beautiful place like Barbetta’s in Hoylake!! A welcoming little deli & bistro serving homemade fresh foods, with plenty of options for veggies & vegans! I can highly recommend the mushroom bourguignon & chocolate torte! Oh and the chips are to die for!!! The care that has gone in to sourcing their produce ethically and sustainably is so obvious when you talk to any of their staff, something I feel is so important in a world full of microwave meals and cheap fixes! I will be returning frequently both for lunch and dinner and can’t wait to try everything else there! I totally agree with the other review - you get what you pay for!!!
