me and my sister took my Mum out for a nice meal for her birthday, and she'd always wanted to go to visit Oliver's with my Dad, whom is no longer with us, so for her birthday we wanted to treat her. Well, never again........ after we were seated, we were offered drinks and they came, everything was fine, until then the staff all disappeared from the floor (I say all - they had 4 members of staff including the one behind the bar, with 2 large birthday parties going on) we finally found a waitress to take our order, she did, minus asking how I would like my steak cooked. we then waited an hour before chasing where our food was, to be told it was the next out the kitchen - to then be informed, it wasn't even put into the kitchen, as the waitress was new - so it was being cooked then ... no apology, nothing.... no offer of another FOC drink while we waited.... Whilst we were waiting for our food, the entertainment started, which even for me was very loud, I could not hear my sister next to me, never mind my elderly mother across the table. when the food did arrive, the taste was amazing and I cannot fault them for that, but the service sadly let it down, we were being looked at, as if it was our fault we had to chase our food, we had no apology, no offer of anything to make up for their mistake and left the establishment extremely angry. I appreciate one, the waitress could of been new to the role, but if so she could of said or at least should of been supported by a senior staff member. The senior member of staff was extremely rude and confrontational from the minute we chased how long are food would be. I would not recommend to any one.

We’ve been here a few times now, food is always amazing, staff are very friendly and helpful, service is great and always a nice atmosphere. We will be back many more times!

Waterfields always good for food pies, sandwiches, cakes etc., it is just in the wrong spot outside of the village area and no where to park. It's a shame because I think it loses loads of business by not being actually in the village.

We were sad when this pub closed so delighted to see it reopened today. Lovely inside, friendly staff. We ordered Two Sunday dinners, one beef, one turkey both were really good. Very tasty and veg cooked perfectly. We will definitely return and good luck to the new owners.

Excellent food, staff very attentive. However the place smells of dogs, not very hygienic.

Reservamos el almuerzo para tres de nosotros. No lo hemos estado durante un tiempo y esperábamos que se hubieran mantenido las normas. Dos de nosotros comimos pudín negro y pila de tocino y yo comí sopa de verduras. Como de costumbre pedí que estuviera ardiendo, caliente: estaba y estaba delicioso. Para la alimentación, uno tenía un curry de bacalao (lo disfrutaba) y los otros dos filetes de solomillo. Los filetes estaban muy sabrosos, pero hubiera preferido que la grasa se hubiera rendido. Terminé con helado. Pedí vino tinto Primitivo y estaba muy bueno. Servicio de primera clase como siempre y una experiencia extremadamente agradable.

Love the food here!!! Tried and tested many,many times. Always tasty, fresh and everything had from the menu is spot on. WAY......better than others in this area.

Fantastic friendly service and really tasty food. Great portions sizes too and staff were friendly and helpful.

A fabulous looking place but its lost its magic ! Been a couple of times in the past but today it was very poor .... The tearoom was cold and uninviting with very depressing music .. Slow service ... Feels like the owners are half hearted and have lost lost interest in the place no attention to detail.. Food below average !

Visited Bents today as I was meeting my friend for our monthly catch-up. What a treat it was - drinks were lovely & hot, food lovely & fresh, and the cakes were to die for 😋 All the staff were friendly, helpful & polite, and the cleanliness was out-standing. It's definitely our new monthly meeting place ..... just wish I was able to book the table we had for next month!

Our favourite chippie. Batter consistency on the fish is a bit variable depending on who is serving on the night, but you can't fault the fish. Always big and tasty.

Horrible rude staff. Absolutely pig ignorant on the phone. Plenty of others options so go somewhere else.
