Waterfields always good for food pies, sandwiches, cakes etc., it is just in the wrong spot outside of the village area and no where to park. It's a shame because I think it loses loads of business by not being actually in the village.

Called in by chance as we weren't prepared to pay over the odds in Bents garden centre. Proper pub that serves a good choice - obviously we had fish and chips...it'd just be rude not to. All freshly prepared and a massive beer garden at the back. A very reasonably priced dinner. Menu had paninis; pies and usual fish choices. A good menu and great prices. Pub staff were really friendly - if you are going to Bents - eat at this place instead. Fab

Tapas for dinner at Bents grade centre was a perfect idea for a sunny evening sat outside on the terrace. Amazing selection of hot tasty authentic tapas, generous portions served with a chilled glass of sangria. Served by a very pleasant waitress, who was efficient and helpful , and the chef also chatted to us after we had enjoyed our selection of tapas, he was knowledgeable about the tapas selection and clearly good at his job. We would highly recommend this dining option at Bents.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, main restaurant not busy when we were seated. Menu different as online so less vegetarian options. Took 30min to take our order, then over an hour for food to arrive. Arrived staggered, dish missing, most of the food tepid at best. No manager on shift, but was there off-shift who offered a round of drinks as compensation, which doesn't really help when you have a hungry toddler. Empty glasses left on the table, never cleared. Overall very poor and won't be back.

Terrible in every way. Restaurant was empty bar one other table. Started off receiving table service but never came to take our food order. Very basic menu. Toilets and baby change disgusting, didnt even want to touch the tap to wash our hands! We ordered from the bar, 4 adults meals and 2 children’s, priced over £100. We asked for the starters to come with rest of the food. After 25 mins the starters arrived with one child’s meal. That was it for another 40 minutes. One child sat waiting for their food to come whilst the other is eating the raw chips and cold beans. Eventually we asked the staff what was going on and were coldly told the 2nd child’s meal is on its way. Another 15 minutes and all the adults meals came out one by one. Two smash burgers that were like boulders, overcooked and under seasoned. No sauce or butter on the buns very dry. No condiments on the table and nobody around to ask for any. The chips were anaemic. Halloumi fry main’s were slabs of soggy batter with cold cheese inside. Again no garnish or seasoning. Most of the food we were served was left untouched as it was simply inedible. After leaving the restaurant we headed to the indoor play area, greeted with a smile from the 2 young staff working in there. Both very nice and offered the children some leftover sweets from the previous party. Play area was filthy, tables covered in unknown liquids and chips all over the floor, stuck to children’s socks etc! We noticed one of the young workers crying behind the desk, we checked on her as she couldn’t have been much older than 16. She had been treated horribly by the owner and his wife, spoken to abusively and drove to tears. Despite the owners wife often leaving their children with her for free childcare whilst she was working. We left after we knew she had someone coming to pick her up, only to hear and see the owner continuing the verbal abuse of the young girl possibly a third of his age from the outdoor park. On leaving he was angrily shouting whilst entering the restaurant. Not a very nice man and all in front of our toddlers! Avoid at all costs and don’t apply for a job here unless you want to be enslaved to this man and work in shoddy conditions.

As retired grandparents we regularly go on a Monday morning, we take our 4 grandsons ages 4, 2¾, 2½ and 4 months and the 3 older ones just love their Crumpets, 2 each. We enjoy a peacful brew and chat while the boys sit and eat. The staff are loverly and so accomadating. We also love buying the old fashions sweets. But no Kop Kops!!

Our favourite chippie. Batter consistency on the fish is a bit variable depending on who is serving on the night, but you can't fault the fish. Always big and tasty.

Baby brunch event at Bents, the event itself was okay. A chance to meet other mums etc £10 a ticket and you got coffee, tea and a breakfast sandwich of choice. The coffee in the geezers didn’t say hot for long either. However, when the ladies were packing up I noticed they didn’t clean any of the playmats and toys. They just bagged them up. Whilst I’m aware you wanted to reopen the space to other customers- it’s poor practice not to throughly clean down things that babies have used. My daughter had a swollen cheek and eye the following day and whilst I know I don’t know it was from this event. I’ll not be certain considering nothing was cleaned after. I won’t be returning.

One of the worst pizza you can have in culcheth. Everything is to much expensive like small pizza with dip £15 and top of that undercooked and the audacity is that the owner is very rude and just staff is just ignoring everyone using hands without any gloves or equipment
