The Sunday roasts were excellent and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Good place,very handy to what we were doing,but the food side was closed down due to refurbishment.

Have been ordering from here for the last few months and it’s always a pleasant experience the staff are super friendly and the food is great. :)

Visited on 3.10.24 Problem with the app and it took 2 payments, although the staff were very helpful with this. Nacho starter was cold. And my sons fish was overcooked, batter burnt and cod dry. We usually have an amazing experience but today just wasn't to be.

Our meal was delicious,as always.Such a shame,this gem of a restaurant, is closing.It was very busy,tonight but great service and everyone was having a great time.Thank you to all the lovely staff,you will be missed.

This is the second time we ordered from them and disappointed us again as there is always hair in the food. And when we go back they shout and swear at us saying it our hair that we put in the food but it’s not. Be careful when you order as there’s hair and there could be more things you could find in the food, the owner of this place the guy with the glasses, he doesn’t apologise either but he swore at us !!!!!

This place is absolutely disgusting only ordered 2 chicken fried rice 2 curry sauces 1 portion of chips & bag of prawn cracker & it was 35 quid??? The fried rice was so small and the chicken was absolutely vile! Definitely from a tin preserved in jelly 🤢 I’ve never had a Chinese that taste so bad. Needs shutting down how can you charge so much for slop! STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE NOT WORTH £5 for what we ordered! I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS REVIEW AND MAKE SERIOUS CHANGES TO YOUR RESTAURANT! One of the best pie and mash we’ve ever had, and the service from the team was next level. John even went across the road to get a Crunchie for my colleague as she didn’t fancy any of the deserts. Highly recommended

Always use the Friary take out but after this evenings food never again. Both fish & chips had cold chip & the fish were both very dry. We both left our take out, not enjoyable at all.

Have been a few times over the last few months. Always good food and atmosphere, although the drinks are a little on the pricey side. Sorry to hear that the Manager James, who's been here for a couple of months, is leaving. He was always friendly and efficient. You've lost a real asset!

Having chosen our table and having to sit there with the remnants of someone else brunch for ten minutes, should have been a warning sign. 15 minutes for our drink orders to be taken, another 15 for food, then a whopping 30 minutes for the food to be brought out (avocado on toast - missing the chilli flakes) and Nook breakfast sandwich which had an egg as burnt as could be and a rock hard bun. As we left the table next to us had only just been cleared. Friendly staff but obviously ran by very a junior and inexperienced team. £35 for something you could rustle up in ten minutes at home while sitting at a clean table. Heston Morons seem to love it though

Amazing food room was spotless service was brilliant and friendly would definitely recommend to all we stopped with our 5 year twins couldn't fault anything will definitely be back
