Lovely place, great prices for Gatley, lovely staff.

1 star lost due to a particular client swearing and very loud but all in all a cosy pub with quality staff.

To experience this oddity in the modern world you cannot do it over a couple of drinks or a fleeting visit. It has historical and cultural depths that the locals are barely conscious of and only the regulars get it. Once you get it you'll find it difficult to let go. When I enter the MOP it feels like I'm putting on an old, but well loved jacket, with its creases that fits just right. Comfortable.

We love this pub so much. We came here as soon as we moved to the area and it swiftly became our favourite! We’ve always felt so welcome, both by the exceedingly friendly staff and lovely community of locals. I love getting to show the place off when we have friends come and stay, who are always equally charmed by it, and pleasantly surprised by how cheap it is! There’s a great range of drinks to keep everyone happy, a huge beer garden that always has blossoming seasonal plants, and a cosy atmosphere inside.

This has become our local for a reason. The staff are super friendly and always make you feel at home. They do a great job of looking after the place too. Great selection of ales, lagers and spirits, and you can get change from a fiver for your pint. Can't lose!

Nice place, good selection of drinks, always busy when I go. Ceilings a bit low for me but the large beer garden makes up for it.

So, I’ve been coming to the mop (Prince of wales for years) absolutely love the locals. I’ve seen quite a few landlords and landlady’s come and go since the sad passing of Carol… I rarely leave reviews… however, felt the need too for our new land lady of the Prince of Wales.. Kayleigh. Amazing …..x

One of the most iconic places in the area. Believe or not, Rod Stewart has visited this place approximately 30 years ago during his stay in Manchester, worth to be, worth to see

Came here last week after living down south for X amount of years, came in on a busy Friday night and the place was absolutely lovely, fast and very pleased service and a great vibe. I'm 22 and love small pubs with a great atmosphere of the older generation. If your looking for an old pub vibe or even somewhere cosy and pleasant then this is the pub you want to go to. Highly recommend

Nice pint but pretty crowded around the bar and fruit machine area.

To avoid disappointment don't drink the Dock 4 lager. It leaves a nasty after taste. What we're hydes thinking when they brewed this. Obviously profit before customers

Lovely pub with a good outside seating area, there's also shaded seating outside too for those that don't like the sun, staff very well mannered and polite, would definitely recommend 👌

Looking forward to a drink at the pub and managed to get a outdoor table. Waited 20 minutes to be served, asked twice for service,and even watched the barmaid sit down and enjoy her own drink. Left without being offered a drink. Found it very strange.

Staff extremely rude and unhelpful Arrived at 9pm, walked through the bar to the beer garden, then walked back in to order a drink only to be informed, by a man that couldn't look away from a TV screen to give me eye contact, that dogs weren't welcome after 8pm. Rules are ok, but some manners would be nice
