This place is absolutely disgusting only ordered 2 chicken fried rice 2 curry sauces 1 portion of chips & bag of prawn cracker & it was 35 quid??? The fried rice was so small and the chicken was absolutely vile! Definitely from a tin preserved in jelly 🤢 I’ve never had a Chinese that taste so bad. Needs shutting down how can you charge so much for slop! STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE NOT WORTH £5 for what we ordered! I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS REVIEW AND MAKE SERIOUS CHANGES TO YOUR RESTAURANT! Robbing people of money for crap food

Food was extremely salty & sent wrong order but they did change it

Dined on my own and had a fantastic meal. It was served at appropriate times, leaving a comfortable gap between courses. Pleasant staff and a reasonable price, all in a cosy restaurant.

Literally just finished eating my first Chinese from the Jasmine House, I heard about it through Facebook when I was looking for a gluten free Chinese. I was recently diagnosed with coeliac and have been missing a good Chinese. Well this Chinese wasn't just good it was great, everything arrived quickly and was piping hot on arrival. Genuinely couldn’t recommend this place more and I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Never fails, by far my favourite chinese.

Friendly and attentive staff. The food is amazing quality and great value. Definitely be back again in between Uni of Manchester and home back in Nottingham, perfect on route stop off

Went with my family absolutely the finest Chinese meal I've ever had also allmy family members said exactly the same amazing food the lemon chase to die for never ever tasted chicken so moist and crispy the spare ribs omg the staff everything was 10out of 10

I was recommended this place on a Facebook coeliac/wheat free page and I’m really impressed with the gluten free options. This is the first time I’ve had sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice in around 10 years (since my diagnosis) There’s not many GF Chinese either! Thanks! Jess

Got takeaway from here but it was lacking in flavour

Loverly meal.expensive,£2.50 for a Can of Coke but you cant beat a chinese. .only a little place.parking is hard because its on a main road ,if your lucky you might park in a layby,we walked because we lived local and it was nice weather 😀

Had it delivered by uber eats. Food was over cooked and cold. Salt and pepper rib died of old age. Prawn crackers cooked in old oil disgusting. Avoid it like the plauge my advise. Phoned them too complaint guy not intrested. Very poor service.

Take away was poor, loads of rice however don’t expect large pieces of meat as you only get bits, really disappointing and way too expensive for the lack of meat

The service was nice , even if a bit slow , due to being busy , but it was worth waiting for , the food was absolutely amazing, I have been a few times and enjoyed it immensely

Ordered a takeaway through uber eats at 7pm last night estimated del 8.05 latest 8. 45 .9.08 finally arrived wasn't even packaged up ready when driver came to collect very disappointed wouldn't have had if said was going to be that late .food was quite nice but portions smaller than where we usually get from

David has been giving good service and serving up good food for many years. Long may it continue, my fav place to go for my Chinese meal fix.

i ordered a beef chow mien for collection, the beef tasted odd…and the noodles were more like mush and had no flavour at all. for £10 i expected much nicer quality than this. expensive and no flavour won’t be ordering from here ever again. such a shame.

Ordered food from here twice now and really enjoyed it. Good that they have a 5star hygiene rating (don’t use anyone below this) but the food is well priced and tastes good. Delivery is good too

Had dinner here after drinks at the weekend. The food is amazing , matching expectation. The staff are also lovely, had a great conversation with the owner , a lot of fun. Would definitely return.

Our first visit on Friday after recommended by friends. Wasn't disappointed lovely and cosy. The food was amazing the best Prawn toast ever amongst the rest of the meal. Can't wait to re visit.

My friied and I went in as a last minute thing in a Thursday and we were not disappointed. First let me just say the Prawn toast is unbelievable and by far the best ive ever had. The garlic King prawn Apetizer was flavourful and correctly crunchy. The staff were fantastic friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh, fragrant, and so so tasty. There are several great Chinese Restaurants in Stockport but this has quickly became my favourite . It's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

Been coming here for years, David manager excellent, food gorgeous, also not many Chinese restaurants available locally. Food lovely. Take a look.

It’s a nice tiny restaurant, I went there one Saturday without a reservation and luckily they didn’t turn us down. You can see it’s a family run business, which I found really cute, there were few regulars inside that the owner was chatting/ joking with. Nice atmosphere in that sense. We chose set menu which comes with soup, some starter dishes like spring rolls and toast with sesame, and as a main 3 meat options in sauces and a bowl of special fried rice. Everything was delicious. After all with al the food and two pints of beer each total came up to £80 but we expected that when ordering. Will definitely come back, but it’s more of a one in a while treat as my budget can’t take regular visits.

Jasmine House or David's as we know it has, is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Stockport. Food is tasty and David is a bundle of joy and if you ask nicely performs card tricks after your meal. Been going to 25 years+ now.

Awful! Ordered vegetable chow mein and basically came with dry noodles in a separate container and then vegetables in a slimy sauce in another container separate to the noodles. No taste, bland and that’s not chow mein. That’s vegetable stir fry and noodles on the side. Not ordering from here again. Waste of money

Great little old school Chinese .. can’t recommend it enough ! Simple but very tasty food with great service and the nice touch of a bit of magic entertainment for the kids at end of meal… Anyone that wants no frills extremely tasty Chinese food should give this place a go .. don’t think you would regret it 😃

I tried to cancel via uber eats after waiting 90 mins only to be told I would still be charged for half the order despite the unreasonable waiting time. It was a wasted meal in the end as it was too long for kids to wait and it was bedtime by the time it arrived. Very disappointing.

Very disappointing and I do not understand why the restaurant would be taking takeaway orders if they are so busy they cannot cook the food within a reasonable time frame.

Food was really very good, very tasty and we left a message with a request to remove the veg from the noodles & the delivery arrived exactly as we ordered. Really quick service & arrived really hot. We will definitely order from Jasmine House again.

The food is always excellent and big portions, I usually have a doggy bag to take home.

Favourite Chinese restaurant in Stockport, by a long way. We've been several times, and will definitely come again. This time, we had: Starters: Delicious crispy duck pancakes, with generous portions. Mains: Sizzling lamb in szechuan sauce served on a - let's say *unique* - sizzling plate! The lemon chicken was also very good - gentler, subtler flavours and very tasty. Food is just as good when getting takeaway.

Booked in here for my daughters 13th Birthday and the food was sooo nice! Piping hot and full of flavour. The owners are so lovely and couldn’t do more for us and David even entertained us with cards and other tricks. We had such a lovely night. Would definitely recommend!

Special fried rice is a really large portion and very nice. Chicken dish was average. Mixed results from group - starters very good, Singapore noodles very good. Green curry not so nice. We were treated to card trick and puzzles at the end which was fun.

Awful. If I could give zero stars I would. My cats wouldn't even eat the chicken. Not fresh, not tasty.

We ordered salt and pepper chicken pieces, salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper chips and curry sauce. When the order arrived we thought there was a lot of food however when tasting the food we realised it was all undercooked, the chips were cold and the chicken was raw. We even put the food in the oven to see if it would be any better if we actually cooked it ourselves and it was no better! In fact I'm not actually sure that the chicken pieces were actual chicken as it tasted like a meat we've never eaten before. HORRIFIC - HORRIFIC - HORRIFIC! When we called to complain we were told that the food looked alright to them and they wouldn't be doing anything about it!

Small sort of out of the way chinese/cantonese diner, well priced, good food, big portions. There is parking all along that street so its not bad getting there, and a very friendly welcome.

When a restaurant has been in business for over 30 years you have high expectations! The jasmine House didn’t disappoint. Lovely food and great attentive service. A must if you are looking for a Chinese in Stockport.

Good food and excellent service. David is a fantastic host. My three granddaughters love it and asked if we could go there again tomorrow. There are only 3/6 years old and appreciate good food. Scallops, aromatic duck, and the seafood combinations are out of this world

The chips were the best part. Chicken was super chewy, rice was really pale and tasteless and delivery was over an hour. Disappointed and won’t be back.

We had a good evening at the Jasmine House. We took the set menu for 4 and it was all really tasty and well prepared. Also the service was very good. Tastfully decorated, the restaurant is relatively small and seems to have a nice friendly buzz. Some say it is pricey but we were happy with it because of the service and quality. They clearly keep busy!

Stockport isn't awash with Chinese restaurants. We asked our hotel receptionist to recommend one and even she struggled but said her mum liked Jasmine House so as it was within walking distance off the 4 of us went. The location is right on the A6 in Stockport so easy to find. We had no booking but had no trouble getting a table. We chose the set menu for 4 (£129) and very glad we did. It was a real feast - the courses kept on coming, all of them tasty and freshly cooked. I've never seen prawn toasts this big before! I won't bore you with what we ate as it's typical Chinese food that Brits love - nothing original or fancy but what you get is yummy with super, friendly service. We had a great time. Thank you!

We get takeaways from here whenever we fancy a Chinese, so we already knew the food would be good. This was our first time dining in and again the food didn't disappoint. The staff were polite and attentive, the restaurant is clean and tidy and we especially liked the power ballads on the radio! Highly recommend!

The still best Chinese restaurant in Stockport

I was very disappointed with my order from this place. The ribs were WAY too salty (and I like salty food) whereas the main, beef in black bean sauce, had the opposite problem in that it was bland.

Just got Singapore vermicelli, a carton of curry sauce and seeweed, huge portion will eat rest tomorrow, piping hot and so tasty xxx

Really really disappointed. Expected great things so spent £38 on a delivery. Ordered salt and pepper chips, crispy beef, Singapore vermicelli and salt and pepper ribs. The chips were nice however the rest tasted bland and unseasoned. Really didn’t enjoy it at all. Yes it has some great reviews but my food today was of a very poor standard. Actually feel robbed.

Ordered spare ribs rice curry sauce salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper chicken and spring rolls cost 38 pound!!!! To be delivered hardly any taste to the food spare ribs had no sauce on them was dry deffo wouldn’t order again

What can I say…….the North is far richer than the South! The prices here are more expensive than Westminster London!!! We traveled up from south London to pick up a car from a local German dealership and my mate and I could only assume we were given the Porsche menu 🤣 put it this way, in south London the same evening would of cost half. I’m surprised I didn’t see the Uber driver in a Rolls…..quality was poor also, service was very good but that doesn’t surprise me. Go at your own expense.
