Lees does a magnificent sweet and sour chicken, rice and chips are splendid as well .I like their special fried rice. i have been a customer for many years. My other half has been a customer since they opened. Just last week it was packed out with people ordering Chinese meals. From what customers told me some people travel a good distance to get their meals. We live nearby. Viv G.

I have been twice in the last few weeks. Breakfast choice was good and the full breakfast was freshly cooked and good value for money. Lunch choices were also good. My jacket potato was large and well baked. Two fillings was also not expected. Great value for money. Friendly people. Going to be our regular cafe place.

Popped in today to meet a friend. Ordered the wagyu beef burger with chips and slaw and it was amazing. Fresh and flavoursome. Will definitely return. Service was quick too especially considering it was close to closing time.

We ordered a takeaway around 6pm on a Saturday. Food was delivered promptly. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of some of the dishes: Mutter Paneer: poor quality peas Tandoori Chicken on the bone: tasted of fish! Lamb Handi: 12 small pieces of lamb in an oily sauce, overpowered by the big lumps of bark

This looks like a great spot. Its very well presented and cosy. Sadly it is understaffed to the point that it was impossible to get served. We ordered 2 sandwiches and were told it would be a 20 min wait which we accepted as it was very busy. After a 20 min wait we asked how long our food was likely to be and were told rather curtly that is would be a FURTHER 30 min wait. So a 50 minute wait for a sandwich! We explained we had a tight schedule as we were booked to see a film and were told if we didn't like it we could leave! So after a faff with the refund we left. To be fair the 2 staff in the place were working flat out but they clearly aren't able to cope if it gets busy. All in all not a good experience for us.

This used to be our favourite restaurant . My partner and I frequented it long before we got married. We shared countless lovely dinners, sipping gin and dreaming up life plans. It held a special place in our hearts. However, we returned just before Christmas 2024 after not visiting for a while, and we were so upset. The restaurant has now merged with the one next door, and sadly, all the charm we once loved has disappeared. The cozy, intimate ambiance once defined by soft lighting, red tea lights, and a relaxed atmosphere had been replaced by chart music, paper kids menus and significantly smaller portions of the food we once loved. It feels like the essence of the place has been lost, and we’re so so sad.

The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, but unfortunately, the seating arrangement was very tight. We were placed in a corner with little space between tables, making it difficult to move around comfortably. My partner struggled to get to the bathroom, and my friend felt quite cramped between two walls. The food didn’t quite meet our expectations in terms of flavour, and we got the impression that the staff weren’t particularly happy to serve us, which impacted the overall experience. It would have been nice to feel more welcomed. The space was also quite warm and noisy, which added to the discomfort. Unfortunately, we found ourselves eager to leave rather than relax and enjoy the meal
