Pokusevski's in Stockport

Did enjoy the breakfast but could just have been slightly better sausage but could be just my taste and the scrambled eggs my wife had were overdone

I was there on Tuesday this week with a friend. We had to attract the attention of a waitress to place our order which was really simple. We then waited over an hour before it arrived. Pretty unsatisfactory really.

The table was dirty and sticky and we were waiting nearly an hour for our meal. The reservation was for 12.30pm and there was only breakfast menu to order from. Once we got our meal it was cold and the eggs were over cooked. I have ordered a second cup of tea which we never got. Very poor service left us disappointed..

It isn't pokusevski anymore. It's a hairdressers called That Hair Place Very good. In fact Clare used to be my hairdresser elsewhere so I've known her for a while. Excellent hairdresser and a lovely person.

Love atmosphere, very attentive staff and reasonably priced food items. Coffee was exceptional...not the normal burnt bitter taste but very pleasant. Will definately return

Once again flying visit and an excellent Eggs Benedict !!!! Lovely staff, very helpful. Relax, Bohemian atmosphere. A little gem.

We come here every Sunday, the best bacon and egg sarnie I've had in my time, but all the food on the breakfast menu is amazing! Very kind owner who has gone above and beyond to help is in the past, lovely neighbourhood staple!

Stopped in for hot chocolate which was lovely, but £5.50 for a slice of very dry cake. Not so much.

Superb brunch on Sunday at 10.00 . My daughter reserved a table on line the day before and I'm happy she did as the place was full by 10.45. I love the decor , the staff were excellent as was the breakfast menu, quality of ingredients used and the coffee. Thanks to you all and I look forward to a return visit.

We went here having seen the good reviews, but we were very disappointed. The food was cold, toast was stale, eggs were overcooked. We were also charged for large drinks despite asking for normal size. It is not good value for money

Impossible for a wheelchair user, difficult for a fold up trolley space limited. Outside ok if the weather is fine. Food good if carefully chosen, toilets downstairs which precludes the elderly amongst us. Overall for the young and trendy.

Our first visit. Large group of us went in for brunch. Nice menu. All our food was excellent. Nobody disappointed. The Service provided was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Thank you for looking after us.

Nice atmosphere but a bit crowded

I'm leaving this place a 5 star review even if a couple of times they had a wobble.(once they forgot about my cake order as I didn't have lunch and I suppose they prioritize people who were eating more than just a carrot cake but I was there with my mum for the first time so not a good impression) That happens everywhere I suppose and it hasn't happened since. I stop by very often. The coffee is great, lovely food. Pram friendly indoor and outdoor. They do have a changing table for babies which I didn't know until they mentioned. You have to ask for it and they'll set it up for you. Lovely place one of the best in the are.

Fabulous place for breakfast/brunch with good selection and not too expensive at around £10 a head for a drink and breakfast

I used to go here lots of times in the past as it was reasonably priced. We bought one small hot drink and 2 larger ones , followed by a brownie and a piece of cake. This cost £20.80 and when queried we were told it cost £11.00 for the Bannana cake and brownie. In a cafe that is shocking and well overpriced. I was in London last week and went to a cafe and it didn’t cost as much as here. We all know it’s a cost of living crisis at the minute, but this is on another level. An average cafe with decent food , nothing else. Service was fine but please revisit your price lists.

Amazing little restaurant. I love their Tapas, cakes & coffee. Plus their weekend breakfast is yum. The quality of the food is super good. I would highly recommend this place.

Sadly very disappointed by the lack of fresh healthy food on offer here! We used to visit quite often but I’m afraid won’t be returning! Expensive & very limited choices. Asked about a salad but nothing available! Only option was Tabouleh at an added extra cost we chose filo cigars with feta & spinach these were really dry & tough, served with chips so not a healthy option & were told there was a salad with it, nothing but a small handful of red cabbage with a dressing on?! Such a shame! 😔 One waitress was really grumpy & offhand, one was very pleasant. Was also put off by Lipstick on the coffee cup when my cappuccino was served & no mention of an apology when served a replacement by the waitress with the bad attitude!

Excellent little place in Heaton Moor, best to book a table in advance gets busy, service good staff friendly. Food good. Only thing I didn't like they allow dogs in. Just a personal thing guide dogs yes but others no.

Absolutely loved my visit to Pokusevski. The food, the service and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Lovely home made tasting good. Restaurant had a lovely welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful quirky art work. I haven’t visited a polish restaurant before, so this was a treat. Would recommend visiting!

The food here is good and the cafe has lovely decor. The main issue is the subpar customer service, some of the staff are unwelcoming and give off this vibe as if customers are a hassle to them (this has been my experience during the last 2 visits).

Had breakfast here. £10 for Eggs Royle with a really small amount of salmon, £10 eggs Benedict bacon was advertised as crispy it looked as if it had been deep fried, shame really as it’s a nice place, friendly staff and a good vibe

Came here on Saturday morming for the first time. The decoration and atmosphere was really lovely with lots to look at. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious! Think this will be my new favourite place

I always head here whenever I'm back up in Manchester. I think I have finally made my way through the whole breakfast menu, which is all wonderful. The sandwiches are great too and the staff are always friendly, polite and efficient.

It was my first time here today and I cannot begin to say what a wonderful experience it has been. Fabulous food, catering for all food allergies/intolerances, amazing decor and kind, friendly staff. The soup is AMAZING as are the sandwiches!!! I will certainly be back 😁

Only been here for breakfast before which was lovely and a decent portion. Ordered a cheese and caramelised onion toastie with a side order of chips and received a tiny, child's size cheese toastie minus onions with a small bowl of chips (10 in total!) for £13, ridiculously overpriced and certainly won't be back for lunch!

The people in this cafe have shocking customer service skills. It's almost like a joke they're that bad. They give you attitude as soon as you walk in and make you feel bad for asking for a coffee. It's like you're a massive hassle to them and they huff around rolling their eyes. Won't be going back.

Well designed coffee shop, I don’t have any complaint about the food but maybe breads could be a little bit bigger and soft because we could not cut it. I want to say that I’m a flat white gourmet, i ordered flat white but instead of that i get milk and foam, coffee is important for me, flat white should has velvety consistency with coffee taste. Generally coffee is not great, my partner did not like her latte as well. Anyway thank you..

My fav there, cakes!! Although the prices are expensive compare with other local places. Understanding life is going up, but this place beats others in the area. Service its OK, sometimes they seems to rush people to leave once they are done with food or drinks.

Been here twice for breakfast food. The food is lovely, you can tell its very good quality. However the price is pretty steep and the portion size small. I'd definitely recommend trying pokusevski as it does taste good.

We came in for a mid afternoon pint and slice of cake. Nice craft beer and I lovely slice of cake. Easy atmosphere that was accommodating as we had a young child with us!

Fantastic coffee, decor and staff. We loved the affogatos and the brilliant sourdough. Perfect poached eggs and the most delicious choc with churros, also. My parents loved it and they're hard to please, so thanks for saving brunch!

Place is lovely and whilst food looks nice I couldn’t face paying £15 for a sandwich and sweet potato fries. Maybe I need to get with the times though.

Lovely little cafe, staff are very warm and friendly and they even offered to meet my gluten free dietary needs by doing the halloumi fries in a GF option! Great people!

What a lovely place to go on a summers day. Very inviting and friendly staff couldnt ask for more. Had a variety of delicious plates with our favourite the halloumi which was definately 10/10. Lovely ambience, lovely staff and decent food. Not bad at all! 🤌

Booked only the day before which wasn’t a problem for the lady on the phone, on arrival our table was set up by the garden. Both front of house staff were very nice and accommodating. I had asked for a ‘mocktail’ for my partner which is not something that was on the menu, the staff went above and beyond to create this for us. Although the menu wasn’t the exact which is shown online, there are plenty of delicious plates to choose from! Staff were chatty and friendly. We will be back.

Great food and nice atmosphere.

The restaurant itself has lovely ambiance! Absolutely gorgeous. The service was great, timely with our waiter friendly and attentive enough. I was highly disappointed when I discovered that the menu is so much more limited in the restaurant in comparison to what is available online. Seems that prices have also decreased, with quality decreased. Previously sandwiches served on Focaccia or Rye with a lovely selection of salads/ now just some salad leaves on side :-( Also could do with a better barista, milk was over frothed.

The food is good, but the portion sizes aren’t. Shakahuka should be a lot larger, and come with more bread. Likewise two small bits of pitta that comes with the hummous isn’t enough. This place could be the best local restaurant if it only upped its game a little with better service, a bit more chat from the staff and yes, larger potions.

Excellent lunch, something slightly different on offer here. Highly recommend Quick service too, considering it was busy.

I’ve been to Pokuveski’s many times in the daytime, but only a couple of times in an evening. The restaurant looked lovely, very prettily lit by lots of characterful lamps, chandeliers and fairy lights. Service was excellent, and the food - all tapas style sharing plates was all good, but as is so often the case with tapas the bill at the end seemed slightly disproportionate to the kind of meal it was.

Out of the way on a side street but worth finding. The food was well cooked& presented. The menu has something for everyone. Confused decor...part a homage to a Polish General, part a ‘gallery’ of a Viet Cong / NVA poster art, but interesting all the same. The ginger tea is wonderful but best avoided by those watching their weight as it’s basically lots of fruit juices boiled with sugar & fresh ginger.

I go to Pokusevski’s a lot as it is local to me and their coffee and food is really good. My husband recently organised a 40th birthday surprise there for me, we had a fantastic evening and everyone commented on how delicious the food was....

We visited with a newborn in a pram and the staff were v helpful in helping to find a suitable spot to park the pram etc. Lunch was lovely and healthy, fresh salads and a good choice. Fab cakes too! Will def return. Efficient and courteous service - we all really enjoyed it.

Had a table booked for 5 people at 2pm on the day of the Christmas Market on Shaw Road, so it was very busy.We had to wait for a few minutes for our table when we arrived, but the staff apologised and kept us informed - so it was not an issue. Seated at a table at the back, plenty of room for us all and good service throughout (despite how busy they were). We had a mix of drinks and dishes between us - beers and wine, soup, focaccia sandwiches, chicken and the Middle Eastern platter. All of the food was delicious - so fresh and tasty, and served to us in good time. A couple of us had cake too, which was equally delicious. Very festive and cosy atmosphere. Got told to leave for meeting with colleagues to talk about work for 20 minutes. Plenty of spare tables and we spent £6 on 2 drinks. 'You're not allowed to have meetings here we're not a charity' was the response. Not a way to speak to paying customers. Won't be going again for any sort of gathering socially or work related

I visited with my family for coffee and cake. I had home made ginger tea, it as fab as was the almond and choc cake. Wish I lived closer as I’d visit more often.

My friend and I had lunch on Tuesday. We were a little taken aback by how expensive it was.

So we have been here around 6 times and have mostly been happy with the food but absolutely blown away by the rudeness of the staff. However, we decided to give it one last go on Saturday...never again!

Bit surprised to be having the brunch menu at 1pm. Food offered was good (including a middle eastern dish). Service was friendly. Cake portions especially the pavlova were big. No complaints.

This lovely neighbourhood restaurant has excellent food. The wine list is fascinating, with bottles from Greece, Lebanon, etc. which I think reflects the travel of the staff who are very knowledgeable and helpful. It is a great asset to our community.

We’ve been several times. Always a good breakfast served by helpful and friendly staff. Its usually busy but not too difficult in getting a table.

I stopped by today and saw a quiche fresh out of the oven . I took a piece home with me along with a piece of succulent orange and almond cake. I can honestly say it’s the nicest courgette quiche I have ever tasted. The spread of deli and cakes was breathtaking. Thoroughly recommend

Hello i recently visited pokuseveskis with my partner and baby twins which were in a double pram being 6 months old! On entering we were abruptly stopped in our tracks by a gentleman who seemed to be a manger but not sure, and told we could not come in because our pram was too big! The Cafe was fairly quiet too so there was room to move the odd chair or 2. We have been to many many places with the twins and everyone has always made us feel very welcome and been accommodating to our needs, This guys attitude and approach to customer service was terrible, I have read other reviews about this place and a few have mentioned the terrible customer service! Which we can now relate to.

We went for a light meal on a hot evening and really enjoyed to food and the atmosphere. The service was very good and friendly, the decor and internal arrangements very tastefully done. We had a mixture of starters rather than mains, the Spanish omelette and chicken kebab being particularly good.
