The Produce Hall in Stockport

Busy, but managed to snaffle a table after about 5 mins. Hadn't realised the food stalls switch on and off availability dependant on no of orders at the time. We ordered Greek chicken gyros, goat curry belly pork kebabs and rice and peas. Great portion sizes. All of the food was delicious- I loved thd goat curry and my partner in crime loved the belly pork - the gyros was delicious too. Good atmosphere and service was great. Well worth a visit.

Loved it, we visited when it was "foody Friday" the food and the atmosphere was incredible... highly recommended.

First time visit. Would come back again. Relatively comfortable and a good mix of different foods. Enjoyable evening

Visited on a Friday lunchtime, great choice of quality food. Lovely atmosphere and wonderfully attentive staff delivering food and clearing plates. A must visit if you are in Stockport.

Cold tortilla espanol swimming in mayo. Meat balls are nice but portion small. Very disappointing

Fairly nice space, but the food and drink prices are expensive for Stockport. Last few times I’ve been (in winter) it’s been really cold and I’ve had to keep my coat on. For £6.50 a pint I’d expect not to be cold.

Good place. We sat upstairs with a group. Urban chic so a little cold but a nice atmosphere with occasional live music interludes. Food ok but not outstanding, my jerk chicken was like a pricey Nandos but it's got potential. Witha bit more thought, I think this place could do really well

Can be busy. But decent speed at the bar and good food selection. Great location in Stockport town centre.

Produce Hall - a great find. We were looking for somewhere to eat in Stockport on a Saturday evening and stumbled upon this. Six different kitchens serving food from around the world. Excellent, we highly recommend.

Unsatisfied. Me and my elderly partner decided to go to the produce hall as we are local residents of the area. As I was cooking Gerald a meal in the evening, we decided to get some chicken bites. We shared these, and as one would expect I thought we would be given sharing plates. However we were not so never mind… nonetheless not once did anyone come over and ask if we wanted sharing plates, furthermore nobody asked if our food was ok. The food was good, however I spent a significant amount of time trying to gage eye contact with an employee but instead they were chatting at the front of the chicken restaurant. Unfortunately, this led to me having to eat my chicken on a napkin, as opposed to a plate. If they were busy I would understand, however seeing staff congregate like a youth club made this all the more frustrating when needing assistance for basic restaurant etiquette such as being asked for a plate. Not great. The tables were also very wobbly and my poor Gerald did his back in trying to put a napkin under the table leg. Please see attached the photo of me eating chicken off a napkin as I wasn’t asked for a plate.

This is the 2nd time have been here...fab place...buzzing and do not feel like it is in Stockport! Got a very Northern Quarter feel. Can highly recommend Mamma G's Caribbean Soul Food...generous portions, very good value for money...lots of spice! The Pizzas from KneadfulnThings are 100% delicious and moreish....again great value! Have sampled Kambuja's spring rolls and 'KFC' chicken...oh my days...possibly the best we have had! Sadly, the same cannot be said for Pocamas and Osysea... Pocomas portions were small and very bland...as was the fish gyros from Osysea...which we also had to wait a very long time. Having said that...the staff did come to apologise.... We will definitely be coming back and sampling more...staying clear of Pocomas and Osysea sadly

Amazing quirky place, thief street served up the best burger ive ever had!

I've tried a few different places here and they have all been great. Staff at the bar are super friendly and the cleanup crew are quick and efficient. Great place for a meet up.

This is a very good communal experience that connected me to good food and local people. I grew up around here, left during my 20s, but now greatly value Stockport's cultural identity that this area contributes.

Went Poco Mas bruschetta with ham the freshest Greek salad , Halloumi fries and Houmous And the Psari Plaki! Heaven! Nice service as well

Always a good time at the produce hall. BUT everytime we go we comment that it’s Really missing a coffee/cake/dessert option… we always have to go elsewhere for pudding and coffee!

I've never been to this food hall before but was so pleased with it. I'll definitely be back around Christmas time. So much to see and a lovely atmosphere to the place.

Never been here before, as it was midweek it was a little quiet, but I can imagine it's very busy at peak times. Food selection is great and varied but something for everyone. (Except maybe if you are on a diet). Good selection of beers if you want one, when we went the coffee machine was out of order.

A great idea here. Several different eateries offering a wide variety of interesting and very well presented tasty food. The bonus is that you order from any of the eateries and bar direct from your table. It was busy but the food all arrived quite quickly. Pleasant and polite staff.

The Produce Hall are yet another example of an establishment so sorely lacking confidence in their ability to not just cook for someone, but also to let them sit at the table (not eating), it’s beyond me why they are in the hospitality industry. I ordered the same food as I have a number of times before, except this time I was rudely told I would not be served based on one person in the party having an INTOLERANCE.

Great atmosphere, with lots of different types of foods to choose from from various countries. Great place to go before going to the many other bars Stockport now has to offer. It is very busy, and you just have to find a table and order with the QR code to your table. I love that you and your friends can all order different dishes from whichever place you like, so it's great for fussy eaters.

Yes it's mostly just Steve Pilling (there are few independent vendors) - but it's still a great place to grab a bite and a drink in Stockport, which has been in much need of something like this. Food is very reasonably priced and very tasty from what we sampled - pizzas, Spanish tapas dishes and the flat iron steak. Pizza stall also did gluten free bases which was probably one of the best gluten free pizzas we have ever tasted. Calamares were also fantastic. Large selection of keg craft beers, although these are pricey for Stockport. Service was super quick on a week day lunchtime and was a perfect place to grab lunch with kids. Smart and trendy decor. This has got bad wrap due to the initial lack of indie vendors but to be honest it's a great addition to a rising Stockport so long may it continue.

Went to butcher's counter bought ribs cook them Sunday look nice

56 years old and never been stopped in my tracks by the smell of food before. This place is a hidden gem. Just go and try it it has something for everyone. Awesome is a word to often used but it suits this place.

The place looks great and the staff are lovely. Drinks can be warm and expensive and pretty sure I was given pasta n sauce (you know those cheap pasta sachets) when I ordered mac and cheese.

It was chaos in there today's. It's a free for all on seating and they kept allowing people in making I worse. Nobody seemed to be in charge of seating people at all and people were Fighting over tables. The staff looked horribly stressed out and it felt like any moment things were going to kick off. I will definitely avoid this place if I think it's going to be busy in future.

Booked table for 8, went to order at 830. All restaurants shut. Not for the evening

Excellent place with a good selection of food options. Something for everyone. The Korean chicken was delicious and spicy, the Thai food was spot on and even had suitable food for our fussy children. The pizzas were tasty and the Greek food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The only mild criticism was the beer wasn’t the coldest. (Lager). The drink selection is good and the staff were doing a great job.

Had the Jamaican food. Brown chicken stew and rice and peas. The rice was microwaved and just didn’t taste authentic. Avoid. Bar is nice :).

First time that we went here very disappointing we ordered garlic bread with cheese hotdog pizza and honey and mango chicken tenders. The garlic bread with cheese(we had to pay a extra £2 for the cheese) firstly the garlic bread was burnt underneath it was like playing a game of hunt the cheese not nice, the hotdogs pizza was more like slop pizza and the honey and mango chicken tenders were spicy and and only luke warm we chose them because it didn't say that they were spicy or hot I took them back and got my money back. I went to the bar and joined the queue but other people were just walking up to the bar and getting served rude! She got a glass for my drink and I noticed it was dirty instead of just getting me a new glass she became argumentative saying it was condensation I said I want a new glass which eventually I got. We will not be going back over price and rude staff

Very similar to the sheffield Cambridge Street collective which I visited earlier today. Obviously the same genre. The difference is, this is much smaller friendlier and looks more authentic. Better atmosphere. It's situated on the market Square opposite the indoor market hall.

We were taken here by our daughter and it happened to be their foodie Friday event, lively and busy with a great selection of different cuisines. Similar to a food mall elsewhere , the restaurants are around the edge with seating in the centre, so each diner could have a different dish from different place if fancied. We had from the Jamaican place, some of the best we’ve had, well priced and served swiftly. Will definitely return.

Dirty forks 😭😭though food taste good

Unfortunately came here for Kneadful things raising hell Gf pizza and by 6:30 on a Saturday they had no GF options so had to leave without buying anything. Very disappointed considering so early. Clearly need more GF bases

Great service from a super friendly bar staff who made us feel very welcome. Easy order at the table and quick service.... However I was absolutely shocked when the girl behind the bar mentioned she was on her own to Glynn the supervisor. Glynn snapped inappropriately back at her in front of the customers and clearly upset the young girl. When she politely said please don't speak to me like that he then continued in front of everyone to reprimand her. Disgusting behaviour.

Awesome food hall, cracking food!

I recently visited Produce Hall on a busy lunchtime, despite the number of people there we were able to get seats as there's ample seating both indoors and outdoors. The venue has a variety of food options, I went for the Kneadful Things garlic bread and the Thiefs Street loaded waffle fries. Both were tasty and good portions, however, I did notice a lot of oil at the bottom of my waffle fries basket. All in all it's a great lunch spot

Another great place to meet friends or family and share some food and drink in an nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was really good, plenty of choices of places to order from, and the bar had a god selection too.

I have been coming here since it opened and I am yet to be disappointed! My favourite place to eat is the Korean fried chicken place. Would recommend the Korean barbecue chicken. It is delicious. One thing I would change is that they need a dessert place. Overall this is my favourite place to eat in Stockport and it has never failed me or my family.

Brilliant for early evening dinner great choices and entertainment.

Great little produce hall, very much like Alty Markets and Mackie Mayor. Gets very busy, and could easily fill a market twice the size! Great food, great service, and great selection of beers!

Great indoor venue. A selection of Beers and a great selection of meat and vegan bar food. Seating in the middle of the hall with eateries around the sides. Spoilt for choice.

A little bit "school dinners" with the seating downstairs, but it works for medium sized groups. Order food from the various establishments and have it brought to you. Good drinks too.

We visited Stockport Produce Hall today and ordered tapas from Poco Mas, it was the best tapas we have eaten outside of Spain.

Went on Sunday afternoon and it was friendly and inviting, not too loud and space to sit. I had the curried goat from the Caribbean Soul Food and it was absolutely delicious - the guy even let me try some before purchase to make sure it wasn’t too spicy for me. I would have given the Hall 5 stars however there were no herbal teas on offer nor plant milk for coffees - very strange in this day and age! So we had to resort to tap water. I’d definitely visit again though 👍🏼

It was really spacious and had a great buzz about the place, good selection of drinks and food choices. We all ordered different thing's, all looked great and I had the Caribbean Soul and it was fantastic! Really would recommend going if your out I Stockport.

The food from Kambuja is exceptionally good and would get 5 stars all round. We have had mixed experiences with the other food places, some good some bad, but find the overpriced drinks from the bar a major turnoff. Feels like they milk you for every penny as they have a captive audience. Mackie Mayor is obviously a similar concept but the beers on offer are a) more interesting and b) a good bit cheaper

Had a great night out at the Produce Hall. Cambodian kari was delicious. One of the best meals I’ve had for some time.

I met with friends at the Produce Hall. I’d never been. There was so many different foods to choose from. Greek, Spanish and Asian to name a few. I went for Spanish and it was delicious. I’d deffo recommend and I certainly would go back again. For beer/real ale drinkers, they had a great selection.

Really good food, ordered from the Korean place inside. Multiple food choices inside and separate bar for drinks. Staff are lovely. Managed to walk out without my wallet, went back 20 minutes later and they had it, so win for me. Friend had a pizza that looked really good. Would go again, happily.

Nice food. Plenty of choice. Just really tightly seated. Only cans of pop and £2.50 each!

Good place to meet up with friends, loads of high quality kitchens under one roof. Easy to order over app.

Foremost a social atmosphere for drinking/eating with its large open space in the hall. Outlets from Caribean, Cambodian, Tapas, Pizzas and more. The seating area is communal so everybody sits together and everyone with its own food, might not arrive all at the same time, but the conversation just goes on, sometimes with the neighbouring tables as well! You either approach the stall you want to order from or from your table you can order online. Food is brought to your table, all drinks bought from the bar. Very straight forward! After this break why not walk down to UnderBank, the old lower part of this side of Stockport: subject to a radical re-juvenation, and a very interesting one. I forgot to mention; its all very reasonably priced!!! Check it out....

Food is great value for money We had halloumi, onion rings, prawns in garlic and chilli, whitebait , loaded hash browns and the nicest houmous I've had in a long time. Cost 30 quid. Cracking

I had a great s steak , my wife loved the chicken burger and finally my son loved the pizza ! Nice . Only fall down toilets smell a bit and dryer not working.

A bit hit or miss. The staff were lovely and the drinks were well priced. But the food left something to be desired, small portions for a rather steep price. If I'm spending 14 quid on a burger and fries it better live up to the pricetag.

Went for a team meal out was great as a few different food places in one hall so something for everyone. Order own drinks at the bar and pay then order food either on the app or at individual food stalls. Would say the people who ordered on the app the food came much slower than going up to order even though barely anyone in the hall. Not all food came out hot bit everyone said very tasty and great choices. We had people who were vegan and vegetarian as well as eat everything so great place to come.

We went for breakfast with Santa. I booked this event upon finding it on google. The service atmosphere was 10/10. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. They allowed you to use your own phone to take pictures. Also received a poloroid picture free of charge of children with Santa . The food was delicious would definitely go again. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We we're recommended this place after being told it was quite like the Altringham Market which we love! This didn't disappoint. We stayed for food at Mammas and a beer from the bar. More bars and restaurants like this will definitely boost the tourism in the area. We even said we may stay over next year when more bars etc pop up.

We were luckily enough to find a table for 5 of us and the atmosphere was great. You can order your food from the QR code or go up to the food stall. The food came in good time but I will say it is expensive (tasty but small portions). Plenty of staff at the bar so you can get drinks in good time and plenty of beers to try. A great place to spend some quality time with your friends and will return.

The visit got off to a great start with the food being hot and very tasty and the drinks being served quickly and with a good manor from the bar staff but then it went downhill from here. The doorman called Mark was abusive to my disabled friend who has a few difficulties not to mention being hard of hearing, she was trying to get into the lift to go and get some cocktails from the upstairs bar but he stopped her saying she was disruptive and causing a nuisance to him. This is a lie as she is happily married to a wonderful man. He then began to say that the manager had made a complaint about our party but upon speaking to the manager he knew nothing about it. So to put it in a nutshell the establishment is a good place to visit but some of the staff (Mark the doorman) needs some training in customer service and being able to spot a person who has a number of difficulties.

The problem with any large hall in England is that when it’s remotely cold (like it is for several months in England) it’s really cold inside a hall. The produce hall is exactly that..freezing! Having to keep all your layers on plus your coat and gloves and hat isn’t comfortable whilst having a drink. Onto the food and drink - overpriced! £6.40/pint of common larger - waaayyy to expensive for the experience!! You need a bloody mortgage to go here. If the larger was decent then fair enough, but it’s not at all. I’ve had better pints out of a can The food is wide ranging but does lack one thing - anything for anyone who doesn’t like meat. There are very very limited choices for plant based eaters/vegan so be prepared to be disappointed. However, given you’ll be sat in your coat and gloves to stay warm I wouldn’t exactly say that’s a hoot anyway

Really disappointing, , the door man (Mark)) was clearly on a power trip and was unable to see disability in a person who he refused access to.. food was good when it arrived such a shame. . Not always as ordered but this individual was an absolute shocker in terms of his approach. Shame really as would have been happy to return in the future obviously someone (mark) can’t hack people with additional needs and seems very judgemental. Ahh well…

Disgraceful Mark harassed us and we felt intimidated. I was scared for my disabled children. Mark was aggressive for bo apparent reason. A good night spoiled by the bouncer Mark
