The food was as always delicious quality is always excellent but I'm sorry to say it will probably be my last meal from them as the prices have gone up massively this last increase and now is out of my price range.

I came here with my little girl today, she’s 3, the staff were so friendly and talked to her a lot which I found so pleasant and so did she! We felt really valued as customers and the food was absolutely gorgeous! We had an adult fish and chips, the seafood special and chicken bites - we all enjoyed and it was good value for money as well - less than £30! We will definitely be returning

Sorry, wasn't happy at all with meal. The chips looked more like they had leftover chips in the portion than fresh. Paid for large fish, no different from the regular one.

Seemingly always when I order thru this app there was an item missing from the order which is very frustrating and annoying. Food was just ok - batter was soggy and chips taste a bit stale. Not sure I’d order from here again

1 - Good quality fish 🐟 , ✅️ 2- Grease trap on a plate. ❌️ pancake like batter turns into a heavy grease trap, like deep fried cake, had to take it all off just to realise they didn't even season the fish itself. Greasy, Bland and unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back at the price. What happened to a light crisp BUBBLY batter?

Food ordered at 19.18. Food arrived at 19.39. Now that is what I would call speedy stellar service, especially on a Friday evening. Pudding chips peas and gravy. Piping hot and delicious as usual

I ordered from here regular because It was the only place that did the best spam Barms however after receiving burnt food tonight, items missing, cold chips (which was a small not a large) and then receiving discusting customer service over the phone we ended up taking the food back to which the woman behind the counter tried to be little my husband. Will 100% not order from here again. I'm the sort of person who will never leave a bad review but after that service not happy.

It was okay problem for me was small chips need to be a little less looked like a large and curry sauce looked small not large but all in all was nice.

Ordered on deliveroo, full order didn't come, we rang the restraunt up and the lovely lady offered to come personally and drop off the missing item what I think the driver maybe wanted a late night snack on! The food was absolutely gorgeous and arrived hot. Definitely will be ordering again!

Went for the first time last night. The nicest fish and chips we've ever had. Will definitely be returning. Absolutely delicious, fresh fish. Lovely staff too.

I don't want to write a poor review as I've been eating here for 40+ years but they're much better than what I had tonight.

I've tried all the local fish and chip shops and this one is for me the best. They always cook the fish to order which is a massive plus point. Fish is always very well cooked. Staff are mega friendly. And it just has a nice old school vibe.

We were missing 2 drinks and called the restaurant to be told in no uncertain terms the driver had stolen as they had put in the bag. Somehow I can’t see this but think maybe time for a refresher course in customer service as very brusque individual. I won’t be bothering with this place again.

Food was very nice as always. Unfortunately one large cod was missing from the order, I called to ask the restaurant what had happened. The restaurant implied that either I wasn't able to look in a box correctly or driver must have taken the item from our order. Customer service from restaurant was poor which is a shame because we have ordered quite a bit and may not do so again.

Arrived stone cold, chips were more like crisps very small and crispy. Fish was very small, and sadly, the best bit. Gravy was like brown water, no taste to it at all. First and last order from here, back the the Atlantic Fish Bar. I would genuinely warn people off. Very poor.

They have a great lunchtime special, and I can confirm after losing count of the number I've had, it's still as good as ever. Food has always been good quality and the staff are amazing, friendly and great conversation. Always got delivery drivers in there so they must be doing something good. Keep it up

Nice food as always but although we pay for delivery, the driver never brings it inside, yet most other places do as there is 24 hrs cctv.

I've been coming here since the early 80s, fish and chips are always great quality, and good portion sizes. During evening meal times it can be quite busy, but well worth the wait 👍

The vegan meatless pie was delicious. The chips were a bit too much batter and not enough potato. They need a lot more vegan/plant-based options on the menu - a plant-based fish alternative would be a good start

This is the first time we have used The Seashell and it won’t be the last. We had fish and chips and chicken and chips. Fish was a generous portion. Lovely soft flaky, crispy batter. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Proper chip shop chips. Everything was piping hot. Tasty curry sauce. Friendly courier. Highly recommended takeaway !

I just experienced a flavour explosion that left my taste buds doing the salsa! Those sausages and chips were so good, they could make the Mona Lisa crack a smile. And let's not forget the superhero waitress who was doing double duty - serving up both food and conversation with a side of charm! I hope she gets some well-deserved rest, but not before savouring her own scrumptious creations. A hidden gem indeed!

Beautifully cooked fish (with tasty crispy bits, a bonus) and proper chippy chips. Not the cheapest around - and I can't get my diet coke fix - but The Seashell absolutely beats any other local fish and chip shop on Just Eat for quality and consistency. Thank you.

I travelled all the way from Taiwan on a short business trip with only one thing on my mind. Fish and chips from this place. Despite bit being late in the day, the owner and his assistant were only too happy to cook me a fresh portion. Well worth the trip.

The ‘chips’ were just like bits of batter which were left at the end of the night, literally next to no potato in them?

Tucked down a backstreet in Heaton Moor this is well worth a detour. I'd rank it alongside Parkgate Chippy and that's my gold standard

Yesterday's Fish n Chips order was way much better! Perfect even. Today's I re-ordered the same but the fish doesn't seem as fresh, a little dry inside, no ocean smell. Not as satisfied as yesterday.
