The best restaurants in Leyland Central South Ribble North West

Had a lovely Afternoon Tea delivered today, lovely and fresh and lovely selection of savoury items and cakes. Would recommend Cookie Jar for Afternoon Tea delivery.

Have eaten here twice and what beautiful food it is. A simple restaurant with only a handful of covers but the food was all all so fresh and tasty. Highly recommended

After reading the reviews, we tried this takeaway and we were not disappointed. We ordered special omelette, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, egg fried rice, chicken fried rice and prawn crackers all for £22.90. Our family including our picky 8 yr old and 4 yr old loved it. We also found our Chinese take away and will also try their fish and chips too. Takeaway boxes are not plastic which is a bonus!

The portion size is laughable. Okay, let's start with the burger. It's probably similar in weight to what you'd get from a McDonald's double cheeseburger (or a McPlant if you don't eat meat), minus the veggies. If I'm ordering a burger from a local takeaway, I expect it to set itself apart from McDonald's. This one did not—and it was priced slightly higher than a McDonald's burger. Now, let's move on to the fries. I was actually annoyed at the portion size; it was embarrassing. I'm genuinely surprised this takeaway is so highly rated, given the amount I was served. I opted for a meal (£8.99, which includes a burger and fries). Ordered separately, the burger alone costs £6.99, and a portion of fries is £2.99. I can't help but wonder—if £2.99 gets you a portion, does that mean you'd receive a thimble of fries? To put it in perspective, I firmly believe you'd get more fries in a Happy Meal. I'm a grown man—where's my food?! As for the taste, it was fine—nothing wrong with it, but nothing particularly great either. The delivery time was as stated, and while the food could have been hotter, I’ll give the benefit of doubt since it was an online order. I could have given three stars, but the portion size was so offensively small that I just can't bring myself to do it. Really disappointed with the amount of food I received for an £8.99 meal. I can't speak for their other meals, nor will I be able to—because I won’t be returning. If you want a burger meal, McDonald's is just around the corner. Go there or find somewhere else, because this isn't the place.

Have been here loads Best Indian around! Food is always excellent quality and the team here is lovely. It’s not oily, fresh ingredients and freshly made. Have to wait sometimes but always worth it

There was 13 of us absolutely fantastic from start to finish fab atmosphere and they could not do enough for us food was lovely and lots of it very reasonable priced very friendly host and when they saw our taxi hadn't come after 10 minutes actually took us home and refused any money will definitely be going back

Just nipped in to grab some lunch. Skinny omelette was tasty with absolutely loads of filling, including big chunks of chicken. Excellent value for money. People were lovely too. No complaints at all.

Very friendly, went with a couple of mates last night. Jack and his wife are always friendly and helpful.

Ordered a fudge cake and it was 100% not as described and it was definitely one of them sponge chocolate pots that go in the microwave a single piece of sponge with no butter cream or layers or anything that it states in the discription. Took photo.

Been to Dilnaz a few times, Bamber bridge and now they've moved, Leyland. Love the place. Great food and great service. Best chilli garlic Chicken ever. (Chef will not tell the recipe). Will definitely go again and again.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Lots of meat in the dish and delicious taste. Good size portions too. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Will return.

Came for galentines, the lady behind the bar was amazing. Thanks again, more staff would of helped her out but she did manage it well

We walked out of the cold of Leyland into the warmth of a Mediterranean welcome. Drinks were prompt and the downstairs bar area was clean and comfortable, relaxed with both high bar style tables and normal seating. The restaurant area upstairs was open plan with a calm and organised kitchen area for final prep (no loud noise) and plenty of comfortable tables. The food was amazing, hummus that was obviously very fresh and full of flavour with fresh bread and a crunchy salad. Kebabs, lamb and chicken was full of flavour (but not overly spicy) and steaming rice with a garnish of fresh veg and Sunak spice. We'll be back!

So, the food was good. Nothing to rave about but it's a jack of all trades, but I do really like their burgers. However, I'm writing a review because I placed a biggish order for like 5-7 people. It had time constraints because I tried to arrange it for break which was unscheduled until an hour before. They arrived promptly and the food was yummy and majority were pleased. The only downside was an error on the website where a new burger wasn't added yet, I called and left in notes that I wanted that instead of an item of similar price but because of the busy period and biggish order, it got missed. It's disappointing but not their fault so that's why I still rated highly.
