Only called for a drink in the sunshine but friendly and restaurant looks interesting.

Istanbul bar has become our new local and as a family we love it. We are always made to feel so welcome and the service is fantastic. All the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is absolutely amazing and we have enjoyed every meal we have had here. We highly recommend Istanbul Bistro and Bar.

A small, intimate restaurant, lovely atmosphere, and great food cooked in front of you. Great value for money 💰. Would highly recommend to all. 👍😀👍

Nice bar. Great venue and the barman and owner was really welcoming. Been on 3 separate occasions and the food was exceptional. The waiter that served us was superb. This is one of the best restaurants in Leyland.

Great food drinks staff very nice give it a whirl

Interestingly someone has written a review very similar to my recent experience. I went here as a group of x2 couples. The manager instantly told me to leave and that I was not old enough. He was very passive aggressive. I am 25 and was happy to prove with ID. I felt uncomfortable so I went to the toilet as the boys were getting a round of drinks but instead the manager followed me as I made my way to use the toilet and was told to leave for using it. I felt very uncomfortable and noticeably not welcome. Please don’t go here, seems very dodgy.

DONT GO HERE. we sat down to have a drink but then came and shouted at us. As we were getting up, they started rambling our chairs. Absolutely unnaceptable. I will be taking further action on this...

Had a fab night here last Saturday. It was my birthday and first time we'd been here, it certainly won't be the last. Very welcoming. See you soon

Food good but had to wait almost 40 minutes for our pre booked table so over an hour before we were able to eat.

Warm welcome from staff. Our waitress straight away made us feel like nothing was too much trouble, she was professional and friendly. Food was amazing, good sized portions, well presented and reasonably priced. Good selection of beers to enjoy with our meal. Shame there wasn't a selection of desserts, but not a big issue (saved me from eating too much!) Nice atmosphere, including the bar area downstairs. Nice addition to Leyland's eating establishments. 👍

Went there on the evening of the 23rd March. It's quite a new place, it was once a bar that really was a bit of a dive. But a nice surprise waited for us: the place has been done up and is really quite cozy, with a friendly bar/cafe-esque atmosphere. The waitress was affable, professional, and efficient. We were seated upstairs, where although the furniture and layout can at best be described as 'functional', the fact that one can sit there and view your food being prepared adds a nice fun touch to the proceedings. There was an adequate selection of beers to accompany the food. At last, to the food! Quite simply put, the food was amazing. Portion size was good enough, very well presented, and as I sit here writing this, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. And to top it off, it didn't break the bank when the bill arrived. In short: a nice place with top scran. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favour and give 'em a try. All the best. Ray

Not even a 1 star review. Me and my friend attended this bar on a Saturday night and was rudely interrupted when we were using the toilet facilities. We were then challenged by our ID which we provided of 19 and 20 years of age. We were told this was not sufficient and we must leave as we are underage. We were severely disappointed as we have attended this bar on many occasions but felt deeply upset by this behaviour and discriminated. We will not be attending this bar again due to this managers rudeness and felt extremely violated by this behaviour we will not be attending.

Visited yesterday - food was really nice, lots of different choice on mixed grill. accommodated us really well with our baby, owner is very welcoming and staff are helpful. It was full last night and still the service and food wait was on point, Will be returning for our Turkish fix :)

First visit last night with two friends. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated with a good vibe. Our waiter was Ish, who gave outstanding service making sure we were happy with everything. Food was delicious and plentiful. The only down side was that we didn't have enough room for a dessert! Will definitely visit again in the very near future.

The Instanbul Bistro & Bar is the new name for The Roundabout Bar. The addition of the Bistro to the original bar makes this one of the best eating places in Leyland. The atmosphere, staff, service are exceptional, and the attention toward the customer is simply outstanding. Do not drive, cycle or walk past this absolute gem. If you have not booked, then i urge you to do so, as this will quickly become the place to eat, drink and socialise.

I had a great time, the food was delicious amd the owner is a really lovely bloke, perhaps they need to bridge the gap a bit with the serving staffs experience but I would love to see this restaurant continue.

Whilst we probably should have looked online at the menu beforehand so this response is partially of our fault, we were definitely shocked to find out that there is literally no vegetarian main courses whatsoever. Aside from chips or small starters (where we could've ordered multiple of but the price would've racked up compared to a single main course) We were quite shocked because obviously there is a growing number of vegetarian people. We were a little frustrated because when we left they asked if we were all vegetarian, as if we would let our vegetarian party member sit there and not eat. Maybe we were just a bit angry and being unreasonable but it was a little stressful. We didn't eat there so I cannot say anything for the other food itself, it may have been lovely we just had a vegetarian party member and didn't want them to pay way more than us just because of menu restrictions. I'm sure it's an easy fix, seeing as they have halloumi and such in stock (based on the starters available) The owner seemed lovely and was very apologetic, which we appreciated. We decided to eat elsewhere.

Night out in Leyland. This is a lovely bar really nice inside and a great welcome. Lots of drinks to choose from and reasonably priced. Would visit again. 🙂

I'd been telling my husband for weeks we should try the Bistro. We finally did it and boy do I wish we did it sooner. We were greeted by the owner, who is also our friendly barber across the round-about, it was early and the bar was quiet, but when we followed him up the stairs we were greeted by a delicious smokey seared meat scent that joyously billowed from the open kitchen. Tastefully decorated, (where did he get his chairs? I want some for my dining room!) an intimate yet vibrant atmosphere, loud but wonderfully cosy, with a lovely view of the twinkling christmas lights on the round-about trees. We ordered for starters the Mezzo plate for two. Turkish bread with a selection of delicious dips. I'm not sure what the red one was exactly, but it was unbelievably good! Peppy but fresh, accompanied by a fresh tzatziki, Humous (hubby is not a humous fan but devoured that one) and another, sweeter beetroot spread. It set us up for what was to come. Marinaded chicken fillets with a fresh tomato sauce. The chicken was tender, juicy and the sauce! Bagfulls of flavour. Lamb Cutlets, I have never, ever, had cutlets quite like it, masterfully cooked, tender, juicy, flavoursome, crispy fat. Utterly to die for. It rather turned me into somewhat of a cavewoman gnawing away on every last scrap of meat on the bone. Full but anticipating more, we asked for the Baklawa for dessert, it must be good as they had sold out! Next time for sure. Generous dishes at a great price, friendly staff, warm and bubbly atmosphere. I have no doubt we will be back many times again. Lovely meal and a good atmosphere

Food OK - but no great, over priced, Spicy sausage was bland, bread was stale - only reasonably descent thing was the tom. Sause that was nicely flavoured. Staff were welcoming but nothing else.

Second visit here and the food was, again, beautifully cooked and delicious. The service however was appalling. Young waitress made it very clear that she wanted to finish work. At around 8.45pm she asked if we would pay, before offering a dessert menu, then told another member of staff in a loud voice that she couldn't leave till we had gone. She made us feel so uncomfortable that we left and went elsewhere for coffee and dessert. Sadly we won't be going back, good food needs to be backed up with good service.

Some really nice work on what originally was a bar. Great choice on the menu and friendly front of house staff. Price is excellent for the quality of food on offer. Spotted a few reviews whinging about staff, not entirely sure they've come to the same place as I have. Keen to visit again at some point.

Went for a meal here on a Thursday night at the end of Sept 23, as we've been wanting to try it since it opened. We were not disappointed! The decor in the restaurant is really modern and tastefully done and the staff were really attentive, professional and friendly. The food we had was absolutely fantastic, cannot praise it enough, it was absolutely delicious 😋 We had the Hot Meze Starter as a main with additional side dishes. The portions were great and we were absolutely stuffed, the Tzatziki dip was amazing as well, seriously try it. We asked for more of the Tzatziki dip and they were more than happy to provide it at no extra cost. The wine was great too and I thought reasonably priced for a restaurant. We also thought the whole meal was pretty good value for money, so please give it a go and make your own mind up, as Leyland needs another great restaurant, and we will definitely be going again.

We had a beautiful meal here in the upstairs dining area. The food was delicious and very well priced, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend. I've seen a few bad reviews on here from 5 days ago and have to say I think it's really unfair when bad reviews are left affecting a business's overall score. I witnessed a group of people trying to be served without ID, then proceeding to buy a takeaway from another establishment and sitting outside Istanbul Bistro Bar eating it - and obviously asked to leave. They obviously think that wasn't fair (!!) and have left bad reviews in protest. Please don't let them stop you trying this fab restaurant - you'll see for yourself how well looked after you will be

Worst place in the town, avoid no matter what. People who work here are the worst kind.

Owner and bar staff were extremely rude to one of the females when trying to order a drink. When showing her ID (23yo), the owner got in her face and shouted to leave the bar

Sold what was supposedly Fosters at £4 a pint. It absolutely wasn't Fosters. It was Carlsberg if anything. Not good at all.

Felt very welcomed here and had a good night watching everyone relax and have a sing and dance. Will recomend 😊

First time visit as had been out with my children for a meal in Leyland.Very welcoming.

A modern pub, clean and tidy. It's clear that the owner takes pride. There are lots of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to choose from. Outdoor seating too. Live music some evenings. Karaoke on Friday nights. Always a popular choice for locals as always busy. Owner is friendly, approachable and happy to help. Will definitely be going again. Recommend this place!
