Visited with the family for breakfast today. Service was excellent especially by Elizabeth who I feel deserves a shout out!! She was very pleasant and polite. The food was very good piping hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Been here several times great food 👍 I had the fish pie👍 very good. My wife had the cheese & onion recommended by very knowledgeable young man Freddy ⭐️👍 she said it was very good. Good service from Freddy excellent customer service. We shall be back again & again & again 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food excellent. We had the beef and mushroom plate pie and lamb hotpot. You certainly need to take your appetite with you because the portions are generous. And I was offered extra gravy without asking. Will certainly visit again.

Unfourtanetly , I can't say I'd be coming back here for breakfast anytime soon the toasted brioche bun was very dry and the hot chocolate was lukewarm, the Italian pastries in the farm shop tasted stale and the vanilla slice wasn't nice at all from the farm shop either considering it looked delicious aswell was very disappointed!

We had lunch today and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was really relaxed, comfortable and friendly. The team of staff working there are the best you will ever find. They are friendly, helpful and very efficient. They made sure everything was just right. We will definitely go again. Thank you.

Opted for the full English breakfast - nice, high quality food. However, the three star review is because the place needs more organisation, we had to call over the staff to place our order after waiting for 15 minutes. We had our food served before our drinks order arrived and had to remind the staff that our drinks hadn’t come to the table when the food came. The windows also need cleaning, I noticed immediately they were all unclean. Other than that, it’s a nice place for food at a reasonable price.

Coffee was cold. Visited on a sunday teenagers serving and no one who seemed to be managing, so overrun, not there fault. Dirty tables. Wouldn't visit again

Disappointing visit, reservation disappeared, but not busy. Had to ask for menus, had to ask to have order taken, even drinks hadn’t been served after 50 minutes. Had to leave in the end. Another couple got up and left too. No one welcoming people at the entrance, I had to go and find a waiter to seat us. Annoying doorbell every 2 mins. A lot of room for improvement here, lots of staff but organisation lacking.

Food could be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but if thought tell them exactly how you want things then you won't be disappointed.staff are friendly and attentive whilst giving you space. Can't fault them at all and they are the main reason we go back!

Okay food. Very poor breakfast service on Sunday. Seem't no organisation. Too many staff with very little idea.

Went for brunch on a Sunday morning. In a nutshell the food was nice but service wasn't brilliant. Some of the wait staff were lovely but the lady who took our order (who seemed to have a more senior role) wasn't the most pleasant. We had to wait a while for our food and saw other tables who came in after us get theirs first. When my husband asked the lady she snapped that she 'said there would be a ten to fifteen minute wait". Firstly, she didn't say that. Secondly, we waited at least 25 mins (table booked for 10:30, food arrived at 11:20). Wasn't overly impressed with the experience and won't rush back, although the food was quite nice. Also the tables and chairs werent particularly comfortable and the whole layout just seemed off.

Myself and my husband visited the restaurant last Wednesday (11/10/23). Unknown to us Tyson had already spoken to the management when he saw the both of us waiting to be seated, because they had stopped serving food. He politely introduced his self to us and invited us to sit at any table we wanted. He explained that although they had stopped serving food the kitchen would stay open for us. The food was lovely. Josh served us our food and was also extremely polite. Both young men are a credit to the restaurant.

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good and served in good portions.

Home cooked food and excellent customer service...

Menu has changed since we last visited but same great choice. Huge meals, good quality, well worth the cost. Staff are lovely, hope they are treated well by managers /owners and paid well , they work hard and always have a smile and friendly manner. Nice ambience. Free parking. Recommended a visit.

Meet up with friends for 11.00 am coffee. Had breakfast ( sausage sandwich) very nice tasty sausages, bread fresh.

Called in on our way back from York to Blackburn at 3pm was told they had finished serving food as only did breakfasts and lunch and was advised to go up the road to the The Bluebird pub was not happy so decided to go straight home instead So shall not be going there again

Sat down gave our drinks order and no one came near us again for 25 mins, so sat like lemons waiting for our drinks finally another staff member came to see us and made the drinks there and then. Had the sandwich option, beef and the ham sandwich, it was ok nothing special, wouldn't return

Food was ok but service appalling. Left standing at entrance as board said wait to be seated. Ignored by staff. Then shouted at to find a table from the bar. Drinks ordered and keft sitting on bar for ages. Had to ask for them and then for ice.

05.07.23 It has become a regular occurrence that I have turned up to eat & the kitchen had been closed around 2.30/3.00pm. Which was very disappointing. I decided to call beforehand at 2.15pm to check if food was still being served. I was told yes and the last orders for food would be taken at 3pm. Only to be called back as I was driving there, to be told the kitchen was closing early at 2.35pm. Again very disappointing and will put many other customers off as they will not bother or be wary of travelling to your establishment incase they are to arrived & be told you are no longer serving food as the kitchen has decided to close early. Yes lovely experience. Plenty of choice for gifts and food looks to be of an excellent standard. Very happy and friendly staff. I can honestly say worth visiting Farhouse Kitchen at Huntingdon.

The tables were clean but very sticky and grimey due to cleaning products on varnished surfaces

I called here for a light snack.parking for all people. Entrance and lift to first floor for all people. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was reasonably fast and adequate. The food and drinks were very good. There is a shop, which sold bric a brac, and also a food outlet which was local produce and very good. Prices were reasonable and competitive. Would call here again if in the area.

Only stopped for a icecream this time ..but you still have to look around at all the lovely food 👍😄

I came here on Sunday with the family for lunch. We have lived locally for years but never been, and what a delightful find it was. The food was amazing and the manager made us feel very welcome, she was very attentive and always smiling. We have recommended to our friends and will certainly return.

Would strongly recommend the farmhouse kitchen food was lovely, staff were great and we were made to feel welcome. There was a table of 10 of us + small person and we were placed at the back on one big table which was nice. Servers were great, food was lovely (no it’s not 5* star but the clues in the name) Couldn’t fault it. Huntleys is a regular meeting place for family and if there’s a large get together again would definitely use again!! Thank you everyone you contributed to a lovely family day out :-)

We stopped in for some lunch. Am I ever happy that we did! The food, ample portions may I add, was absolutely 100% delicious!! The ambiance is extremely pleasant, and, the staff were so very welcoming, friendly and polite. We highly recommend Huntley's ! Planning on a return visit soon !!! Well done Huntley's .

Not a good first impression, restaurant was shut on a technicality! I was tols. Does not bode well for a second visit, or maybe not. Was sent to buy cold pies and cakes instead. As for the rest of the place, I cant comment, didnt visit to shop, just dissapointed the restaurant was shut down for some reason.???

Can't comment on the food, as we only had a coffee, but the presentation of the food when carried out by the waiting on staff looked really nice, the coffee here is really nice,and the waiting on staff were friendly and polite

I have visited this place twice. Once just after Christmas where they forgot several portions of chips to go with burgers and then a burger without salsa came with salsa and they scraped what they could off and sent it back put and said we could have that or wait 25 mins for another. Staff and service was extremely poor and we had to go up to the bar to pay at the end as our plates hadn't even been cleared 40 mins after finishing. Then visited today. 6 of us. 3 of 6 meals were forgotten and not even sent through to the kitchen so half of us had to eat while the others waited 20 mins for their food. Was told the veg would be Broccoli and Carrots so ordered that and bread and butter for the 10 month old and what came was cheesy leek and peas. We didn't get asked our drink order we had to remind them of this when ordering food, staff were not receptive when we asked for sauces or anything else. Honestly I wouldn't bother coming back as both times there has been multiple issues and not much care from the staff that things were wrong.

Staff were slow to serve 4 of us , only us waiting and it took 30 minutes to be served with 1 cup of coffee , 1 cup of tea and 2 soft drinks . Won't visit the farmhouse kitchen again . It wouldn't take us 30 minutes to drive home and make our own drinks .

Overall very nice place and food was exceptional , lots of staff very young and a little bit inexperienced when asked things one girl was asked 3 times what was the special menu for the day and failed to get back to us when really she should have known without having to try and find out herself

Lovely cafe with a restaurant type seating downstairs & a comfy chairs & couches cafe upstairs. Theres a lift too if you have mobility issues. Food & snacks, cakes & drinks all amazing & great variety. Has an ice-cream parlour with mrs Dawsons ice cream- loads of flavours! The shop, has all sorts of food, meats, jams & chutneys, sweets etc all high quality local home made type goods. Plus little quirky gifts. It leads onto the wine & beers shop which has a great variety of high quality & unusual beers & wines- great for a special gift. Staff are very friendly always.

Food was excellent, but the service was at a snail's pace, and one meal was not entirely as ordered with no explanation as to why (substitution was better, tbh, but *very* different). Disabled cubicle highly inaccessible - too small to be a true disabled toilet, enormous pedal operated bins take up too much space to turn a wheelchair. The baby changing table is broken and won't stay up, so a side transfer isn't possible. The emergency cord has been entirely removed, there is no bar on door to allow a wheelchair user to pull it closed, and it didn't look or smell as if it had been cleaned recently. Also, little to no gluten free opinions. Fortunately I'm only intolerant, and passed my highly gluten-containing parts off to others. Didn't notice much, if anything, that was vegetarian either.

Went for breakfast here and it was huge! Very nice food, young man who served us was just brilliant, very pleasant and friendy. Prices good, decor nice, overall a great experience.

Only call on way back from seeing grand children, they sell excellent fruit teacakes.

We had an absolutely fabulous meal today. Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn't do enough for us. The food was magnificent. Well worth a visit. We will definitely be dining here again.

Cheeky little breakfast trip. Always excellent, super tasty sausages.

Booked for an early mothers day meal as my mum really likes the oven baked salmon dish here. We came specially for this but when it arrived it tasted and looked different to previous visits. The sauce for the dish was different and when we had asked why we were told someone else made it (not the chef). The cheese and onion pie with chips was very nice, however food service on the whole was very slow. Ordered the apple crumble with custard see below for picture. Portion would serve four people, a very big portion for one but didnt have a lot of crumble on the top, overly sweet and loaded with cinnamon to the point it was not edible. Presentation was very poor and food was inconsistent

We arrived for lunch, I'm in a wheelchair, we waited to be seated and then the party who arrived after us got asked about seating - the waitress just looked over my head (the party where behind us) when she was doing this, I find this behaviour very rude We were quickly taken to a seat when I said we were there first, the waitress didn't move a chair for my wheelchair to get to the table, plonked the menus on the table and went back to the other table. Where we were sat we could see under the machine on the counter and it was filthy

We went to farmhouse kitchen today with our 3 children, well attempted to. On arrival the restaurant was quiet with 3 staff members clearing tables and chatting. Not one of them acknowledged us. Another group then came in behind us and stood in front of us to also wait, they were seated almost straight away and I was asked by a young blonde girl to “move” so she could get to the book to see. She then seated the other group and went back to her conversation with another staff member leaving us still stood by the door waiting. We waited another 5 minutes before deciding to leave all together. Very disappointing and one of the rudest staff teams I think I’ve ever seen. Even if they were fully booked it would be common courtesy to tell us so, not just leave us stood at the door with 3 small children. We won’t be returning.

Really nice food on the breakfast menu, the eggs benedict were fab and had the all important runny yolks. The full English breakfasts were also yummy with quality ingredients used. Service a tad slow, but as we were catching up with family it wasn't an issue for us.

Loved the set up. Farmers shop, antique shop, cafe and restaurant. Service chaotic - had to send my order back twice and still didn't get what I ordered. My poached eggs overcooked. But the provenance of the food excellent and my partner and daughter enjoyed their breakfast. I will be giving them another chance based on the quality of the food

Haven’t been to Huntleys to eat for a long time but I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very cheerful, welcoming and very helpful. We ate early afternoon on a Sunday, the Roast Beef lunch was excellent with an assortment of veg, tender beef and a Yorkshire pudding that was delicious, the gravy got a special mention for being ‘really tasty’. We also had linguine with portobello mushrooms in a creamy tomato sauce and garlic bread, I would return here for this rather than the Italian down the road. The kids goujons and sausage meals were also very well received. To top it all the price is reasonable and very good value for money. I’ll definitely be going back.

Really lovely location and very pleasant menu. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. Service could have been quicker, despite not being overly busy, but still highly recommended.

It’s been a while, since we were last impressed. But what a lovely, generous, affordable and delicious dinner we’ve just had again. Attentive and considerate staff, perfect lighting and spacing. Cannot fault. Highly impressed (and intend on not leaving it so long until we return!). Recommended.

Waited 10 mins to get a table, got one at 3:05 and was asked if we would be finished by 4. Still sat there at 3:25 with no order taken. 5 staff all talking behind the bar. We left.

Called in here after seeing it off the road. Decided to stay for lunch. The staff accommodated us even though they were busy. We enjoyed a very tasty meal. Mum and me had hotpot, it was a very good choice. My husband had beef with black pudding mash and vedgetables also a great meal. The meat in both of these meals was falling apart absolutely great. Would highly recommend and we will definitely visit again.

Lunch at Huntley's. Service was very friendly and the Trio of Sausages main with onions, mash, gravy was excellent. Nicely cooked veg, beans, carrots and cauliflower complemented the mains. So far so good.... But.....the Restaurant itself was cold with no heating. Due to them "running out of heating oil and waiting for a delivery" we were told, when we asked. 😢 There weren't any beefburgers available because they had "run out" and were waiting a delivery 😢and nor were there any steak suet puddings as they had run out of those as well 😢. As a minor issue the jug of "iced water" came without ice (presumably they had run out of that as well.) And the entrance looked uncared for, litter all over especially in the fish pond, which was seemingly devoid of fish. The car park to the rear of the building is strewn with pot holes...mind your suspensions. 😭 I know restaurants are having a difficult time of it at the moment but "running out" of 2 mains on a not very busy Tuesday and not having any heating on in November is no way to get customers returning. IMO. I shall probably return at some point but sadly it won't be soon and this isn't the Huntley's it used to be.

Attended with work colleagues to acknowledge a pending retirement. Had lovely breakfast post nightshift, service a little slow, but the positive of the being that we had plenty of time to chat and catch up.

Excellent and great value lunch menu. It's a fairly big place but it may be better to book just in case.

Spent 5 minutes waiting to be seated we were ignored by 3 staff so left. This experience also stopped us visiting the farm shop

Very poor meal cold,coffee cold,just look like put in microwave,coffee came cold like it had been ready for 5 mins,sent meal back not replaced,then trying to charge us,very very poor.

We bought a gammon meal today and it was awful, the meat was very poor and it didn’t taste right, in fact it was so bad I had to send this back it was really was very poor, and this is putting this politely. This is the second time we have had this meal and it’s been extremely poor! Would I recommend this place no definitely not. The staff are nice but the food is awful.

Went in and ordered a southern fried burger and fries to takeaway, fries were the best bit, the southern fried chicken was rubbery like it had just been put in the microwave and I didn’t even have a top bun on my burger! For £9 you’re taking the mick.

Dreadful service. Ordered breakfast which took 45 minutes so expected it to be at least properly cooked but the eggs were either hard or so runny that I couldn't eat them. Coffee arrive half a hour before the meal and was cold by the time the breakfast arrived and pre ordered toast arrive midway through the breakfast and was cold as were the mushroom, beans and tomato. Won't be going again. Should have taken notice of the amount of food being taken back from other tables!

Last visit for breakfast was quite chaotic and disorganised. Slow to take order and food order was wrong upon arrival. No drinks or cutlery has been brought before food was served. Later discovered that staff had not turned in that morning. Older man who presumably was the manager did nothing but stand around and let staff suffer. Shame, as food was delicious.

Food was tasty and generous portions but the service was incredibly slow. Took ages to order our food and then when we’d finished eating we had to go up and ask for the bill because the food/plates were left in front of us for a very long time. It also wasn’t that busy which is why it was annoying to wait so long to order and pay.

Food was OK - nothing more. Service was VERY, VERY slow and we were actually made to feel like we were in the way. Staff were unfriendly and impolite, we were initially planning on having a desert after our sandwiches (especially as the kids meal supposedly comes with one!!!) but gave up in the end as it was just soooo slow and we just left. We heard other people complaining and getting nowhere with the staff. In the end we bought cakes from the farm shop and scoffed them on the way back to the car. Won’t be going again. Very disappointed indeed. (Also our order was wrong but again, it had taken so long to come I just couldn’t be bothered trying to fix it)

We visited for Mother’s Day - I would not recommend this place. We arrived on time, and waited 25 minutes until I had to go over to the bar to ask if we could have a kids menu and order drinks. The lady was slumped over the bar and just said yes, no apology or smile. We then waited a further 20 minutes for them to provide our drinks. When we ordered from the set menu, they advised the steak was sold out and another dish which I can’t remember, so we settled for a lamb shank and turkey roast dinners. After another long wait, the chef came out to advise they had tan out of roast potatoes, so they will serve us cubes sautéed potatoes with garlic and herbs… we was served chips which were hidden under the turkey, with sticky gravy and no sautéed potatoes. When we questioned this, they said we were wrong and they were not chips, but they clearly were. A lamb shank arrived with hardly any meat, and again no sautéed potatoes, so this time we had instant mash. We were served hard vegetables which were chucked on our table by the rude lady I first spoke to, and then 20 mins later, she came over and slammed down a big dish of chips, which we didn’t order and she said ‘these are your sautéed potatoes with your lamb shank’ … they were chips, again! The kids food arrived very late after ours. There were so many things wrong with this visit that even when we complained (which we wouldn’t usually do), they never apologised. Other tables had left their desserts because they were inedible. We over heard other customers complaining of wrong things on their plate, however in the end, we were just left whilst they all hid in the back. The main waiter was lovely and tried his absolute best, whilst and the young manager and owner wouldn’t come out to speak with us as requested due to ‘being dirty from cooking’. I have never ever been somewhere were we didn’t want to pay. We ended up paying parts of the bill, but not for our mains. Appalling food and service (except the waiter who served us and dealt with our complaint). Avoid at all costs!!

Went to Huntley’s today for lunch with my 83-year-old Nanna I ordered the beef she ordered the pork !!!! the pork was not edible 💯🤮 There was two different sorts of pork that they put on my plate one looked like a pork chop and tasted like Sage and onion stuffing and looking like a pork chop !!! and the other was Wafer thin and sliced with no stuffing on 💯‼️😐🤔 took it home for the dogs and gave my Nana my beef service was very slow staff not interested at all !!!!
