The Lounge Bar And Restaurant in South Ribble

A lovely fresh and well presented restaurant, the staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. There is a wide variety of choice and the food was delicious and great portion sizes. Overall we had a fantastic meal in a lovely setting and found it to Be great value for money, we will be returning again.

Had the two course lunch and it really was wonderful food. Four of us ate and we all said the same. Well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant has now changed hands back to Langs, as it was before the ~lounge. We went last night with friends I must say although the food & menu are excellent it’s not cheap. We all really enjoyed the good food. The service & staff too are very efficient & pleasant. The restaurant has been re-decorated nicely. However the hanging plastic foliage is absolutely atrocious! Plastic will eventually attract dust & dirt so will become unhygienic for their diners. Especially those who suffer with asthma etc. A little bit here & there maybe, but it everywhere. In my opinion it cheapens the whole place. That said we will likely eat there again as the food is so good.

A group of us all thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas party night. There was a singer on who played all the favourites - festive and otherwise. Had us all up dancing. That was after we'd eaten a HUGE fantastic meal cooked to perfection and served by the most attentive and engaging staff. There was just too much food. Each course was huge and the sides that came along the table with each course really helped! Couldn't finish my meal in the end but enjoyed everything I managed to eat. The place was bouncing! It really was a brilliant night out and we will be returning soon. Impressed to see their 5 star hygiene rating too.

Visited on a Sunday as an impromptu walk-in. The place was quiet as it was between the typical lunch and dinner times. We all had the vegetarian roast which was hot and well cooked. Not a complaint but the extra cauliflower cheese we ordered could have been a bit bigger portion for £5. In summary, food was very good and service good so we will definitely visit again.

I asked a member of staff about the suchi and was made to fool when asking how big there were Then ordered the vegetarian Sunday roast, which when it arrived was just a plate of 2 carrots , broccoli, a Yorkshire pudding which paper thin and really dry, and 1 roast potato cut up My husband had 2 suchi wraps one tuna one crab The tuna was full of chilli and almost blew his head off and he struggled to eat. The chips he ordered wher also sprinkled with chilli and peppers sliced, so were left as was most of my roast dinner substitute. Cost over 40 pounds for 2 meals and 2 drinks also! Very disappointed and we will not return .

Agree with the previous review. We have gone here for years but we won’t be going again. Good was OK but very slow. No-one asked if our food was ok either shortly after it was delivered to our table or when we asked for the bill. The restaurant used to be very well run, it’s such a shame.

Fabulous menu, lovely staff and good service. Excellent food and good value for money. A good variety on the menu to suit every taste. Shared a selection of desserts which were divine .

We've just moved into the area and visited the lounge bar with friends the atmosphere is amazing the food even better! The staff were welcoming friendly and we were served very quickly! I cannot wait to visit again thankyou for a lovely evening ! 💕

We have visited The Lounge many times over the past few years as we live just down the road, usually for family celebrations (spending a considerable amount) and the food has always been top notch. However, on our latest visit, the food was well below par. The main issue was that my 4 year olds chicken goujon had a huge bone in it and she could have choked. We alerted the waitress immediately, who simply just said oh I'm sorry I will tell the chef and nothing else. The chef did not come out to apologise nor did a manager (I don't think any manager was in as the staff all appeared very young). My daughter has since not eaten chicken as she is afraid of there being a bone inside. Not what you expect from such a restaurant. The adults ordered a Sunday Roast and it was hands down the worst roast dinner I have ever eaten. The two small potatoes were rock solid and uneadable. The portion of the dinner was also exceptionally small and we left hungry, despite also having starters. We again informed the waitress, who just said oh I'm sorry, I will tell the chef! It was the lack of any concern over our the bone in the child's meal that upset us the most and the lack of any kind of acknowledgment that the all of the food was well below normal standards let alone the Lounge Bar standard, For this reason, we have not visited since and will be unlikely to visit anytime in the near future. Given we are a party of 9 each time we visit (in addition to separate visits) and our bills usually exceed £300, the lack of good service and follow up has lost them a lot of future business. It is such a shame that these issues were not dealt with correctly as we did enjoy coming here and now have one less place to eat.

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely meal at The Lounge on Saturday evening. The food, service and ambience were excellent.

My wife and her parents had a late dinner there. Absolutely excellent. The food was superb and the staff were a creit to the resteraunt. That good we booked Xmas dinner there. cannot recomend this resteraunt enough.

The nicest items on the menu were not available. Given our vist was the 30th December I think they could have planned better. The service was poor with one waitress who was lovely and run ragged, and a manager who mainly chatted at the bar with two customers and ignored us for ages when we were trying to get her attention to pay the bill. Some of the food was really really oily (the teriyake beef was lovely) and I couldn't eat the batter on my fish. I explained to her that it was tasteless and very oily. I explained this nicely as I was paying the bill, didn't ask for any money off and wasn't remotely snarky with her. Her reply? Oh well, basically no-one else has complained so we won't take any action! I thought that was very poor service. A nominal £5 off a £165.70 bill would've been a customer focused response..... or something! But basically I just got told I was mistaken in my view!!

We had a very warm welcome and the restaurant was well appointed. The menu was quite comprehensive with a great variety of food. I chose the sushi. I would have helped to know the size in advance. In hindsight, I should have chosen just one item as, towards the end, the flavours became quite mixed and there was too much rice overall. Individually, each was very pleasant. The other food went down very well indeed and the cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were delicious. The 2 waitresses were very friendly and attentive and the service was speedy.

Wonderful place for a family gathering - the staff were very pleasant and helpful we had a warm buffet which was perfect, very clean well presented restaurant and all the staff were helpful and very pleasant - couldn’t fault anything

Decided to visit for the first time since the change of ownership. Came for Sunday lunch and certainly wasn’t disappointed, lovey presentation and great tasting food. We both had the beef which I would certainly recommend. Our waitress Alisha could not do enough for us.
