Formerly known as Nasib Tandoori on Kew Road in Birkdale, this Indian take-away has new owners and a new name - The Tandoori. (I believe it is now owned & run by the people behind Kasturi on Eastbank Street in Southport town-centre.) On entering, I particularly liked the view through to the kitchen - giving me confidence in their offer. Selecting from a smart and comprehensive menu, I ordered the following: King Prawn Danchak (£9) Mushroon Rice (£2.60) Aloo Gobi side dish (£2.75) They advised me waiting time was 30 minutes and the food was ready in about 25 mins. All dishes were enjoyable. Decent portion sizes and good prices. The King Prawn dish had 10 large prawns which were very tasty. I asked for my vegetable dish to be made hot and they got this right. All in all it was pretty good and I`ll be back. Main course chicken curry is a very reasonable £4.75 & boiled rice is £1.65, so you can eat from here without breaking the bank. Free parking directly outside the venue, on the road nearby, or across the road. PRO TIP: ring ahead to place your order on 01704 568637. If you collect and spend £15 or more, you are entitled to a portion of pakora & poppadoms for free!

Hands down one of the best places I’ve been to! Heard a lot about Kraft Burgers and finallly had a chance to try one at their new store in Salford. Place is aesthetically clean, customer service is bang on and the food is amazing. The Smash burger and Churros was my fave 👌🏽

I received my order on time and hot. The lamb balti was so good. Lots of lamb and cooked to perfection. The naan breads were soft and fresh and not dry or burnt like other restaurants I’ve ordered from. I will definitely be ordering again from here and recommend it to anyone. Can’t fault it at all

So our last visit here was not a great success, but we thought it could have been a one off. Nope, yesterday visit was even worse. Staff are excellent I hasten to add, but the kitchen needs sorting. I ordered the soup and the steak and caramelised onion wrap, wife had the omelette with 3 fillings. The soup was OK, but to be frank it could easily have been sautéed onions and some generic stock disguised as French onion soup. The Steak wrap was incredibly poor. I have never inbeatingbout come across pieces of steak so tough and the wrap itself was like cardboard. Wife ordered 3 egg omelette with side salad, cheese ham and mushroom filling. No mushrooms at all in the offering and one inch square piece of ham. We were happy to give it another go after a previous poor visit, but twice bitten and all that. There are many places to eat in Southport, avoid this place unless it advertises a new chef is installed.

I had the Early Bird Special with some friends and it was delicious! The pork pring rolls are so juicy, then had the chicken friend rice which you can never go wrong with. To top it off, a lovely vanilla ice cream with a wafer. Very friendly and helpful staff and a favourite place to go.
