Turkish Grill House in Sefton

After reading all the reviews on here it looked to be the best kebab house locally. So on our last night and after a lazy tea in the hotel room we walked to get a takeaway. Gave our order he read it back to us. As we got back to the hotel room we found parts of our order were missing and the food wasn't that great. Nans are just wraps. Chicken is standard. . Pizza was okay but Pretty disappointed all in all.

Gorgeous food. Amazing people. We had two small chicken shish kebabs with chips salad and bread. ( We're greedy people; these aren't small!) Really busy but service was quick and the family that run it are really friendly and proud when customers tell them how much they've enjoyed it . Highly recommend ♥️

This place is awesome. I get the delivery option, it's always fresh and delicious. The food is so authentic and fresh, like home made but made by experts.

First time having a take away from here and it was very good. I had a chicken shish on the grill and my husband had the lamb, both came with rice, a lovely salad and Turkish bread. It was piping hot even after the drive home.

2nd year visiting Stockport and 2nd year having food from here. We tried the charcoal Mixed Grill and a portion of chips, which was more than enough for two. The kebabs were cooked in front of us and they were yummy, the most lean lamb I have had from a Takeaway in a long time, knife cut through like butter😁😁. Plenty of salad and sauces to accompany the meat. Would recommend a visit.

Food are fabulous, if you love mix grill, I recommend the Turkish Special.

Came here when I went on a mini-holiday at the start of this month. Me and Dave had the Turkish Special Grill and it was exceptional. All the meat was cooked to absolute perfection plus loved the selection of dips/sauces.

10 out of 10. Lovely staff and service was bang on. Food was ready quick and staff didn't let me go to get the food they bought it to me which was nice. Staff asked me 2 times if everything is okay. Food was cooked perfect will definitely come here again if I'm around this area 👍

I had no cash on me and they only take cash and lovely owner gave me lovely portion of chips and said pay when next in town. How kind was he. ✨️☺️

Ordered 1 chicken shish and one lamb kofta with rice and Turkish naan. Came with normal pita bread and chicken was under cooked, upon informing the staff they seemed surprised and sounded (….) in their voice tone. One staff that looked like the owner decided to re cook the chicken immediately and I was re served a few minutes later, I was a little reluctant to eat at first but then decided to eat the rest of the food. Restaurant did not take card payment therefore paid in cash. Something did not seem right from start to finish.

By far the best place i have tried for a kebeb meat quality is 10/10 and the donner meat is the best i have had honestly if you you like a good grill up then this is a 10/10

Consistency is key in business. Especially the restaurant/takeaway business. This is what the Turkish Grill House provides every single time I have visited since it opened. You will not have a better Turkish food experience anywhere else in this town, and yet even with their success, the quality has never dropped. I went yesterday for a mixed grill so I could sample a mix of lamb and chicken. The meat is always cooked to perfection, juicy and with so much flavour. The Turkish bread is perfect with your meal and I recommend a side of red salt chips with your plate. Huge portion sizes and the service was top notch. Sauces, rice and salad is as tasty and fresh as always. Even the onions are top quality, it amazes me. The main man behind the grill made me and my family feel well appreciated and cared for despite it being very busy in the kitchen. If you are wanting an authentic Turkish grill experience, there's no other option than this place. I'm even planning a holiday to Turkey due to this restaurant because I feel their culture has some of the best street chefs and food in the world. You will be looked after and every penny is well spent. Thank you for being in Southport, we appreciate you. 5/5

I can't not believe the customer service here! Absolutely outstanding. Food delivered and was gorgeous. However sent rice instead of bread. This was despite me specifying bread ( I know some of the meals come with rice but this did give me the option to pick bread) I called up let them know - I felt awkward doing so because it was only for some bread.. but I was really fancying kebab on bread. Anyway guy was so apologetic said he'd send some bread. And then I couldn't believe it delivered a new kebab bread sauce and salad. Absolutely top service. I'm lost for words. This was absolutely more than expected. Thanks so much and I will certainly be back!

Service is an absolute joke! Speaking to other people multiple times while taking my order and then puts the phone down on me.

£18.50 for a chef special kebab (half of which is plain white rice!). These clowns clearly never heard of the current cost of living crisis!!! Swing and a miss!

Staff really friendly great food

Very disappointed. I paid an extra £4 to have a stuffed crust on my pizza. Guess what? My crust wasn't stuffed. I tried to call them multiple times and got no answer. So unlike my crust they can get stuffed. I will not be ordering from them again.

The kebabs were very tasty, the meat was soft and the fat was removed, the marinade was great, the staff is a friendly and fast team, the kitchen and the hall are clean, I recommend it to everyone,thanks guys

Great place for kebabs. Delicious and well cooked meat which comes with rice and salad. Complimentary Turkish bread for the table with 3 Turkish sauces. All in all, highly recommend

I have visited with my wife and children food was very fresh and testy and top off all food are halaal if I go back southport I have to visit again. Staff are very friendly and service 10 out of 10.

Our favourite Turkish food by far, juicy and fresh every time we come, I recommend the Turkish special as it includes a bit of everything and priced reasonably well too, the owner is lovely and always greets me with a smile on his face, thanks mate and see you soon. Milo

Visited this place following all of the fab reviews. This place exceeded our expectations. We ordered the family special along with the lamb guvech. We were very impressed with the excellent service received and the high standard of food served to us very quickly. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend this place to anyone and we will certainly visit again. Only shame was they didn't serve Turkish tea,which would have finished the evening nicely! Enjoyed our evening, so a huge thank you.

Tried for first time today - absolutely excellent. Tried lamb shish with Turkish bread and Texas pizza. Both were stunning. Coming back for more!

Was definitely not worth the money spent, the chicken fillet in the burger was tiny and the chicken donner tasted like fish. It was a nice looking place but would never be eating from there again.

Absolutely dreadful!! Ordered 2 meals but they simply didn't arrive Took my payment though!! Phoned 15 times but no answer and answer service full. Plenty of much nicer takeaways in Southport. Got us over a barrel now haven't they?

Unbelievably good. I ordered the mixed Grill. All the meat was tender and juicy and perfectly cooked. It came with a rice side that was.... OMG. It also came with a thick half of Turkish bread and a side salad that was similar to Fatoush without the tanginess. I cannot recommend this place enough. It was my first order and will definitely NOT be my last. Thank you for such a wonderful meal.

Be careful about the new guys that running the work now, they Will charge you more than the value listed in the menu. It happened with me and when I went to check if they gave me the right order, they lied first about changing the price, the man was very rude and impolite, told me that if I found the food expensive, I shouldn’t come back to them!

This place knows exactly what they are doing. By far, the best take away in Southport. Having lived in London and then moving to Southport, I was disappointed to find there wasn't a single place that knew how to to do a desent shish kebab - until I discovered this place! Their burgers are amazing too! Very much loved by 2 hungry boys in our household. Food always delivered on time, always hot, always fresh and generous portions. Excellent value for money. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible food !Theres not much else I could add.I had the Chefs special combo kebab that was filled with so many meats i couldn't name them all, all wrapped up in a large wrap.The "just the cheeses" pizza was again amazing.Turkish bread and tzatziki ! Really authentic and soo tasty.Overall I would 100% recommend this place and it has now become my go to Turkish cuisine for either a takeaway or a sit in meal (when we can finally sit in)

I must say, as a private chef, there is little that excites me when it comes to eating out. I can honestly say, this is the 1st time in 5 years, that I have been so impressed in the quality and flavour of a dish that I have bought. Everything we ordered, family feast, calamari felmades and lamb chops, was absolutely delicious. The salad was so fresh and crispy as well, and everything was neatly served up. Well done to you and your team. We will be seeing a lot more of you. Glad it's authentic flavours and it's not tapered to meet local needs. 5 stars for you!

I ordered a meal for three people on Saturday 31st May which was cancelled because they said they didn’t have the meals we ordered. So on Saturday the 6th June a week later we thought we would give them a second chance because they have great reviews. Unfortunately they rang me with the same excuse but offered replacement food which we accepted. When we received it it was absolutely unacceptable. So I will NEVER order from this place again

Really great food...packed full of flavour and decent prices. The pilaf rice is absolutely gorgeous, that on its own is a joy, it's not just boring rice it has depth

(£7.40)It was tasty, substantial & filling and excellent value for money.I`ll be back. Recommended. I`d say this was the best "kebab house" in Southport.PRO TIP: free parking all around after 6 pm.

I’ve been here about 4 times in the past, everything is literally amazing. The food is gorgeous, always hot and tastes fresh. I always order to collect too, and they’re spot on with their timings (almost always can collect within 10-15 mins)

We sat in and had a meal.Dont expect 5 star waiter service at the moment as is predominantly take away but our meal was very quick to arrive,great portions and lovely tasty meat with lots of different salads which we like. Staff very friendly and they are looking to open a bar in there but at the moment not licenced but you can bring your own 😀

Sorry to say but the chicken kebab was flavourless and greasy and the doner meat was bland did not enjoy at all

I have not had the chance to taste any of this food which, by the way, sounds awesome. Having lived in a middle Eastern country for years. However can't get though on phone or online. Starting to make my own now. Thanks a lot "grill house".

Last visit I made I got the large lamb kebab, and it was huge - I ended up saving some for the next day at home (I was staying overnight in a hotel); yesterday I learnt from from that experience and got the regular and it was just as delicious, and I did still begin to struggle towards the end, but I defeated it in the end. 10 Stars out of 5!

Used the take away service a few times since the new bigger and better premises. The knock through into next door has resulted in a nice informal eating area. Looks like they may well be adding a bar in there in the hopefully not too distant future. Fingers crossed. We both had the mixed grill with an additional 4 lamb chops that we shared. The lamb, chicken and Adana were cooked to perfection. Lovely salad, fantastic Turkish bread with a selection of home made sauces. Lamb chops were juicy and tender. We left full up and happy.

Just had an amazing chicken kebab, all comes separate, chicken with rice, very nice bread and salad. All tasting very fresh and well seasoned.
