Came for a meal for our wedding anniversary, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but we were seated and offered drinks straight away and ordered within five minutes. When the food arrived it was hot, and very generous portion sizes. There is plenty of choice on the menu for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. The staff are great at explaining what the dishes are if you aren't sure. We always enjoy coming and will definitely return.

Always a great meal out. The kids love the kebabs and meatballs. A great mezze too with loads of food. Get the taramasalata. 👌 Staff are great.

You will find this excellent taverna nestled between the Northway Road and the Leeds-Liverpool canal. The atmosphere is lively and positive; the service friendly and efficient; and the food tasty and plentiful. The Taverna offers a good choice of traditional Greek cuisine at fair prices. The portions are large with the main dishes all coming with vegetables, salads, rice and chunky chips. At my recent visit I shared a special mixed kebab for 2, but there was easily enough on the plate for a 3rd person! It was delicious and went down well with a cold Mythos beer! There is a wide choice of places to eat in Maghull, but the Greek Taverna is always busy. Given its popularity I would suggest ringing ahead to book a table.

What "beer man" doesn't like Stella! The oil in the fryer is sound the only thing that needs changing is Franks miserable mindset. The staff couldn't stop smiling at one point I nearly asked them to stop smiling so much.Hopefully Frank doesn't go back because his attitude might stink the gaff out Boss food great beer and even better staff 👍🏼

Lovely evening spent at the GTM with fantastic service and lovely food. Food presented well, fresh and hot and lots of it.

So so so disappointed with this restaurant! I’ve had huge expectations 😞 not the best menu choice! Quality was poor. I had saganaki king prawn (LOTS of pepper and garlic in it to fully cover the flavour) and pork kebab (dry and tough). Service was quite ok. Never again. By the way, I am Greek.

So we traveled from Bristol approximately 3 hours to this restaurant. I can honestly say I was absolutely blown away by the food especially the main course. Fillet steak was 10/10 cooked to perfection (rare). For the money I would honestly say this is as good as it gets. Staff didn’t let your drink run dry, cocktails were fantastic. I would actually travel 3 hours for this again!

Nice place, the staff were amicable, the food was good, VERY large portions, so you need to be hungry.

Once again, food delicious. They don’t skimp on portions neither. Had the Happy Hour menu which is excellent value. Staff amazing. It was my daughter’s first taste of Greek and she loved it. See you again soon guys. Thank you.

Found this great Greek restaurant right next to where we were staying in Maghull. We went on our wedding Anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was cooked to perfection. Portions were good and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back

Always a delight. Food is always fresh and filling. Always end up taking food home, it can sometimes be noisy and full up, but it’s a good atmosphere, probably not a good place for a date but a great family feeling and the staff are incredibly friendly.

Been coming to the Greek taverna for over 10 years with family and friends. Always the most amazing tasting food, the staff are all lovely and go out of their way for you. Brilliant family run business, a nice atmosphere with beautiful food every time.

Im sorry but we must have picked a bad chef night. I have been there a few times in the best and the food has been delicious. This time the Calamari starter was tasteless and overdone and my chops were tough. My wife and daughter weren’t impressed with there food either. chips and rice were nice though. Don’t think that I will be paying another visit ☹️

We were having such a great evening, but sadly the staff, despite being told about allergies served the meal with the said items on the plate which caused us to cut our evening short as we had to leave to get the necessary medication to prevent anaphylaxis. If was disappointing to be held at the door until I’d paid for the food we were unstable to eat.

Great food for the price also great staff always ready to help you. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I love visiting Greek Taverna in maghul the food is absolutely outstanding every time. The entrance has no steps and is flat although I think the narrow door maybe a wheelchair issue unless they open both doors, parking gets very busy but you can park round the back through the petrol station. We are always greated by the friendly staff and hardly ever have a long wait as we book due to this being an extremely busy restaurant. Food is always prompt and hot when it arrives to the table and so delicious. Prices are pretty reasonable. Highly recommended

Went on a Saturday night. No atmosphere at all. Food lovely but didn't feel comfortable and gang of lads playing games on one of the tables with lots of noise.

Nice place. It was busy when we visited but service was good. Food was great (but they don't do sweer potato fries). The thing for me was how loud it was. I'm not a big fan of loud restaurants where you have to shout to be heard. Other than that, it was nice. Oh yer, parking is an issue too. There isn't much parking, so be warned!

Excellent food. Really decent portions with mains generally coming with sald, rice and chips. These are possibly the best chips i've had in a restaurant in Liverpool, i'd come back just for those alone. Really good menu, friendly staff, and the place is usually full so recommend booking. Car parking is very limited.

Great place great food we go here regularly but the tables for 2 are far too small. Once food & drinks arrive there realy isn't any room to enjoy you're meal comftabley. Other than that would highly recommend this place. Never had a bad meal here, that's why only 4 stars instead of 5 Purley for the seating arrangements for 2 people.

Terrible mousakka , bechemal was like a piece of dried bread no flavour , aubergine terrible worst I have ever had , no salad with it chips burnt , starter of pate was tasteless and I was given butter and a pita bread !! What is that about , daughters chicken was Like rubber . And the sauce on the cheap kleftika lamb shank was dreadful , cheap and nasty .. very disappointed indeed was looking forward to a nice meal , even the kids meal was rubbish

We visited on a Tuesday evening and found it was packed. The food was excellent and the staff attentive. With special deals on all week you may be advito book. Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful tasty food. It was very busy for a Wednesday. You can get a 2 course meal (Starter + main) for £15.95. It was plentiful + really tasty. We got starters - Tahini with fresh bread, Calamari with side salad + Pate with fresh bread + side salad. Mains - we both got Chicken kebab with rice, chunky homemade chips + side salad with a pint of pineapple + soda all for £40. Amazing all round. I would book in advance to make sure your guaranteed a table as it does get busy from 5pm onwards. Enjoy.

My meal was nice but my partner's was dry and really overcooked, couldn't be eat without a drink I tried it and choked. I had a lamb dish and I really enjoyed was cooked well and good flavours. Had fish meze starter really nice but only two prawns for sixteen pounds was very small. Average meal overall wouldn't recommend.
