Had food tonight New Year’s Eve 2024! Pizza, shish kebabs, Donna meat all piping hot and lovely forgot to mention the chillies and chilli sauce I could drink it! Well recommended

We were looking forward to our meal here for a while as it was our friends favourite! We arrived and got a nice welcome, one of the cocktails we ordered wasn't right and the lady behind the bar was very accommodating (removed it from the bill) but I am not sure if that got our card marked. We ordered our food and they were accommodating to some allergies within our party. Whilst eating the meal, one member of our party got a bit of steak caught in his throat, tried to clear it with a drink which resulted in all coming up and landing on the floor under the table. Embarrassed and mortified by the ordeal, he waited until everyone else had finished their meal and then went and requested some blue roll to clear it up, he made sure nobody else touched it and ensured it was cleaned up. When they took our plates away they asked if we would like anything else, we ordered a few drinks which they server seemed happy with. Then, the original waitress (tall, young and blonde) came up to the table and accused that person in the party for being to drunk and she wouldn't serve us which we responded he has had one glass of wine at the table. She responded saying you have had cocktails too. The individual who she stated was too drunk to be served had had two drinks the entire evening - one cocktail and one glass of wine. Nobody at the restaurant actually checked if he was okay at any point or even communicated with us - she would have clearly seen he wasn't drunk and disorderly if she had made any effort to seek this information out. They then said they were happy to serve us, however at this point we didn't feel comfortable staying. An event that totally spoiled our evening, as a group of four friends in our 30-40s we do not expect to be falsely accused of something when enjoying a civilised evening. The member of staff was totally unacceptable, we are incredibly insulted and it really questions the integrity of the place.

Came in last week had a lovely time. Food and service was great. Had Ruby as a server who answered all our questions. We will be returning! :)

Icarus and Flicarus took us to West Didsbury for the first time since November 2019. The area seems to be thriving. Popped into this Irish themed cafe bar for a pint of Guinness and a pint of Cruz Campo. Both excellent. About £6 each a pint. Busy with families enjoying brunch. Seats about 40 inside and 12 out. Ground floor bar with upstairs toilets. Tv's showing sport on a busy Saturday sports day.

We ordered olives, two pizzas, and each of the three dips. The Pesto Royale was top tier, really delicious couldnt fault it at all. The Ortolana was one of the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. Limited toppings, randomly cut veg, no flavour. The random arrangement of veg was probably not helped by the absence of suitable sharp or serrated pizza cutting tools, this leads to a mess of a pizza which was already lacking cheese, or toppings. We ended up drowning it out with the dips, which were delicious.
