Pzza Express in Manchester

The staff were very kind, especially Tryph our waiter. The food was delicious. The service was very good. We had no complaints. 😍😍😍

My daughter and I chose Pizza Express for our late lunch following a day in the city. As we had been Nuspa near the Arena we chose the Pizza Express in the Corn Exchange. It is worth mentioning that Pizza Express is always a go too as the food and service is always good. We were seated on arrival and the service was good, as after ordering drinks they were there almost immediately and the food was within 15 minutes. I loved the Nicoise Salad which was followed by a Dolcetti dessert including a delicious Biscoff Cheesecake. We drank Aperol Spritz and coffees and the service was efficient and friendly.

I love Pizza Express, food is always good and this was no different. American Hottest was new on the menu so tried that, not very hot for me but that might be my tolerance rather than the pizza. Still excellent though. We were on our way to the arena, great location if you're going there but would recommend booking. Service was friendly but a bit slow at times. Still, best pizza around in my opinion.

Awful pizza. The base was basically a big crisp, I've never seen a pizza so thin. The tomato topping looked as though it had been sprayed on sparingly and there was maybe three pieces of pepperoni same with chicken. Cold and not very tasty. Overpriced, will not be returning.

We placed an order for delivery which was accepted. The order is getting on for an hour late so we contact the delivery company to find that the restaurant closed two hours ago. It was shambolic from beginning to end. first off it took over ten minutes to seat us. It wasn't even remotely busy they seated us at a table that was filthy, still had pots on and obviously hadn't been wiped down. One of the waiter walked round asif he was on a catwalk paying no attention to us and was more interested in his hair in the reflection. After 15 minutes of being ignored we finally asked someone to serve us. our starters came out quite quickly but again the waiter did not acknowledge our existence and took about 30 minutes to finally clear them and bring us our main courses. When our pizzas FINALLY arrived into which my 4 year old niece could of cooked better. Cold , had no flavour and just generally disappoint. Fair to say no tip was left from us will not be returning -diabolical Ps the cutlery looked they'd been cleaned by mechanics .

El restaurante en sí era escaso pero la camarera Martha, que era apresurado fuera de sus pies, no podría haber sido más acogedor, teniendo interés en nuestros días y sigue ofreciendo el servicio de 5 estrellas a pesar de lo lleno que estaba. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente a cualquiera.

Visitamos como una pareja en una noche de domingo en un fin de semana festivo. No habíamos reservado, pero pronto nos llevaron a una mesa.

Cuatro de nosotros comimos aquí después de tomar parte en el Gran Manchester Run. Nos llevaron a una mesa y menús dado, pero luego esperar 10 minutos antes de nuestros pedidos fueron tomadas. Los entrantes (que todo era delicioso) llegó rápidamente, pero luego experimentamos otra espera para los platos principales. El restaurante no era particularmente ocupado, pero sólo parecía ser de 3 miembros del personal sirve mientras 2, que parecía gerentes, estaban de pie alrededor. Cuando llegó la hora de los postres mi hija y yerno estaban decepcionados porque no había chocolate fudge cake, así que tuvieron que elegir algo más, pero todos estábamos satisfechos con nuestros postres. Teníamos un vale por 30% de descuento en la comida que traían el precio considerablemente y la espera más fácil.

Visited the restaurant on Saturday night with my girlfriends. Cozy restaurant and great atmosphere. And our server Anki was great, always there to top up our drinks. Would visit again!

i was up in Manchester on a business trip and after a disappointing first night meal I decided to come to pizza express and have my usual favourite to make up for the previous nightThe waitress stephanie was brilliant, very bubbly and chatty and even recommended the new Amercian hottest, saying it was the best spicy pizza on the menu, even offering to do a half and half so that I could have my favourite pollo forza and try a new pizza, however despite best efforts I just went for the Pollo Forza which was cooked to perfection by the chef (unfortunately I don't know the name) The whole meal was relaxed from start to finish, the restaurant was very quiet, however the staff all seemed to work well together and appeared to be enjoying their jobs and helped make the visit an enjoyable one Yet again Pizza express have delivered, I eat in Pizza express quite often and have yet to be disappointed

I use to come down to this particular pizza express before the refurb but haven't been in the area recently. As a birthday treat I decided to go take a look and celebrate. I am so glad I did. First off, I had a voucher for a bottle of proscecco, and was expecting a small bottle when I brought over a large one, I was amazed at what effort pizza express goes to! My server was Stephanie, she was so warm and bubbly and made me feel like was the only customer in there. Myself and a friend couldn't believe how well we were treated. We just opted for a main, mine came and was amazing, whilst the friend who is coeliac had a gluten free pizza that she said was one the best she tried. After the meal, Stephanie then brought over a birthday cake with a candle - I was not expecting this at all and was overwhelmed at the effort Stephanie had made. Congratulations to her and thank you for ensuring I had the best time ever!

We regularly eat at pizza express and went to this branch to have dinner before going to see Florence & the machine. I called in the morning & mentioned we were also celebrating my daughters 18 th & a gentleman said that they would be a able to make a little bit of fuss. They were also aware that they'd be busy due to the concert.Actually what we got was cold pizza, slow & unfriendly service. When I asked was there anything they could do for the 18 th (ie candle in dessert) I was told no it was too busy for anything like that. Having been loyal supporters of pizza express, it all felt rather mean & a big let down on a special night.You knew how busy you would be, get extra staff in. Cold pizza is not except able.Wouldn't return to this branch again.

The clue's in the name.....instead of ordering pizza after a mixed antipasta starter we decided to go for Salad Nicoise and Pollo Pesto - MISTAKE!Few croutons and ONE anchovy in the salad ....THREE pieces of chicken and rubber pesto that could've repaired a broken trampoline!Good service and wine and our friends seemed to enjoy their pizzas, that'll be a lesson learned, when other restaurants are closed and Pizza Express is all that's left choose the pizza, it may not be "cooking" but it's difficult to get wrong.

Dined here Saturday, 12 October 2013 for a birthday lunch.Pizza's were good and delivered hot.Had a bottle of Montepulciano, which was very nice too as was the cappuccino.The service made it for us as the waitress was efficient and polite.This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back.

Have been a fan of Pizza Express for many years, this restaurant in Manchester is one of the friendliest that i've come across in the chain. Staff are really friendly, turn around from order to the food coming to the table is pretty quick. I cant find any faults with Pizza Express.

When you go in the front door you end up going down stairs in to a large restaurant with a couple of areas in it including one that looks in to the Corn Exchange (guess there must be an entrance on that side too). It was as good as expected - I love their Pizza's especially the super thin crust ones. The anti-pasta is a little "jar" fresh rather than freshly made and the drinks I always think are a little over priced but I like getting a large wine served in a small carafe so you can share or sill your glass up as you want too. We had a nice server and it was quiet so didn't test their efficiency.

Great service. Food was lovely and hot. We asked for really spicy and it was! Really busy yet attentive.

We booked a table before going to see The Script in concert for my partner, daughter and friend. The table was booked for 5.15pm allowing plenty of time to eat before the concert started. We didn't order starters just 4 pizza's. It eventually arrived at 6.35pm which when started it was shockingly bad. I ordered chips to accompany the pizza and received a full portion of 8 yes 8 chips which were soggy. We did complain and they took the price of the chips off the bill. It is just so expensive for the food we received, I vowed never to go to Pizza Express ever again!On leaving I went to the ladies toilet. I should have gone before ordering and would have walked out. They were disgusting. I spoke to the manager relaying my concerns about the food delay and the toilets who said "They were busy" and more or less walked off. Simply not good enough!

Slowest service I've ever experienced at any restaraunt EVER waited well over an hour for a couple of pizzas along with the rest of the overcrowded restaurant. Surrounded by tens of unhappy complaining customers. Far too small a kitchen for so many customers. Would never go back. Horrific.

I'm not a lover of any chain restaurants but in the past I've made an exception for pizza express, I doubt I will again. It was all a bit lame and formulaic. I had a pizza with goats cheese or so it said. Honestly there must have been 3 or 4 small lumps scattered on a huge pizza. The service was ok but nothing special. When the waitress asked if everything was ok and I said not really, she didn't know what to do or say. I wasn't looking for an argument so I left it at that. When it came to paying the bill she had forgotten to include the offer that was available and tried charging £20 more than she should.

We ate here twice during a two week holiday in Cornwall. During the winter months, they were obviously quiet but the food did not suffer. Delicious. And the staff are very friendly too.

Visited this Pizza Express on a very wet night at the end of August. The restaurant itself is downstairs from the street level entrance. Upon arrival we were welcomed and offered a table immediately. The restaurant was however, very very cold. It may have been because it was such a miserable day outside, but there was a very cold breeze coming down the stairs and as a result it was uncomfortably cold. At one stage they seemed to put on heating, but that was only for a minute or two. Our very friendly waiter took our orders and shortly after our food arrived as ordered. It was the usual Pizza Express food, and there is sometimes a lot to be said for their consistency! All in all an enjoyable meal, would have been nicer if the room was warmer though.

The title of my review it's the only way I can describe this place.

If you have a mobile on the Orange network then this is excellent value as you can get 2 for 1 plus a starter on Wednesdays only. (this offer does vary)

Friendly but slow service. At first it was a little rushed but then when we were ready to leave it took a while to get the bill! Food though was very nice and not the waiters fault that they are understaffed!

Piza express is next to the railway station in Hale. It can be very busy and if you want to eat on a Friday or Saturday you need to make a reservation. It closes relatively early. Positives are friendly service, a good range of pizzas and starters. It's very noisy, so not a place for a romantic evening out!

Took the children during half term. Despite the use of portable heaters the room was cold and we were unable to take our coats off.Service was very slow. After waiting about 20 minutes for the bill with staff walking past and avoiding eye contact I approached a member of staff at the till only to be told very brusquely to speak to my own waiter.

We've been visiting various PE restaurants for over 5 years now and only very rarely do we have any issues.They are fantastic for kids, have great food for all the family, they never cost the earth and they are nice and simple.We've been to maybe 30 of their various restaurants, but as we are close to Manchester we visit this one the most and have never had any issues (unlike the Leeds one!!).Always good service, good food and very quick and it's usually Saturday lunch when we go so it's always busy!!If you're not happy with your table or your food, as per the reviwer above, then tell them - I've had to swap the odd table and/or dish and they have never fussed about it, usually the opposite actually and have a laugh about it.

When we arrived the waiter was very pleasant, he showed us to our table. Unfortunately I only noticed the portable heater after we had ordered - it was absolutely freezing cold where we where sat!From arriving to paying the bill - we were at the restaurant for two very cold hours! The service was with a smile but so slow and the waiters weren't very attentive.I had a very similar experience last time we ate at this particular restaurant.
