I had a fantastic pre-theatre lunch at Pizza Express. Our waitress, Eszter, was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. The food was fabulous and arrived quickly, which was exactly what we needed. As someone with gluten and dairy intolerances, I was impressed by how well they catered to my needs, ensuring I still had a delicious and worry-free meal. Highly recommended!

We arrived at 10pm, accustomed to having a late dinner, but in Manchester all the kitchens were closed. We were able to have dinner in peace and eat dessert. Very delicious pizzas. We recommend!

Popped in last minute on my lunch break and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with lovely background music. Was given a menu and left for 20 minutes whilst the waiters fluttered around the tables offering drinks that already had food. Sad to say we got up and left. Very confused as to who the resturant clientele is aimed at, set up like a restaurant for people that don't have much money for food, but wish to dress up and act like it's a cocktail bar and get pissed. I would say stay away from this place if you want to feel welcomed and actually have the opportunity to order food. I wouldn't have minded but the place was nearly empty.

Robert has been incredibly helpful especially with my friend who is vegan. He has provided everything requested and more! If I could give more that 5* I would! Thank you for making our birthdays memorable.

Pizza was tasty. Drinks were far too expensive. A non alcoholic beer was £4.65. A glass of wine was £8.95. Needless to say we drank warer

4 Adults & 1 Child booked in for 4.30pm. We ordered our food, Would say a slight disappointed because 2 of our pizzas turn out to be on the cold side and also would say tasteless. Service was not the best as once they serve you your food they never once returned to our table to ask how was the food or even asked did we want more drink. Atmosphere was good only because there was 5 of us on our table and not meaning Pizza Express. Glad we paid on the app because we would still be waiting to pay. So all in all would say Disappointed.

The main challenge with Pizza express is their menue change very often from visit to visit. This branch is so far better than the others but again they keep changing the menue and sometimes good quality items get dropped. I think they need a more static menue.

Our order got completely mixed up because they can’t hear over the music and the number of customers. As we were going to the theatre, we decided not to change it but both the waitress and manager were more on the defensive side trying to find excuses rather than taking responsibility. Won’t be coming back to this one. Also, We were told that we had to order specific starter for the children’s menu When at three other pizza expresses we have never had to do that. Absolute shame

Lo visité ayer. Muchos de nosotros pedimos pizzas y calzones y dos de nosotros pedimos un plato de pasta. Llegaron pizzas y calzones pero cuando llegaron nuestras pastas, todos habían terminado sus pizzas. Cuando finalmente llegó la pasta, fue difícil y tuvimos que devolverla, a estas alturas ya habíamos esperado más de lo que debíamos para la pasta y no queríamos esperar otros 20 minutos así que terminamos sin tener nada. Los platos deben ser sacados todos juntos, definitivamente no debe esperar lo suficiente para que todos los demás terminen el plato antes de obtener el plato que pidió. No estaba ocupado, así que no había razón para que esto sucediera.

I ordered at 17:32, it’s 20:07 and my order is still not here. It says it’s been delivered. No call from the restaurant to apologise for delay. Absolutely shocking level of customer service from a well established chain.

Reservamos Pizza Express Oxford Street, ya que estaba cerca del Bridgewater Hall, donde estábamos asistiendo a un concierto. Dejamos mucho tiempo para nuestra comida (llegó a las 5. 30 pm y necesitaba salir a las 6 . 55 pm). y recibimos una cálida bienvenida a la llegada. Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa y una orden de bebidas tomadas. Nuestros entrantes llegaron a la mesa en 20 minutos y en este punto el restaurante no estaba ocupado. Lamentablemente, entonces esperamos 35 minutos para nuestra red principal y tuve que preguntar sobre los tiempos, ya que estábamos preocupados por llegar tarde al concierto. Lo mismo sucedió cuando dijimos que queríamos pagar la cuenta, tuve que ir a llamar la atención de alguien. Esto fue una pena, ya que la comida era deliciosa, especialmente la ensalada de atún Niçoise. El restaurante no estaba tan ocupado, pero nos preguntamos si tal vez las empresas de recolección de alimentos, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, etc. estaban distorsionando la cantidad de demanda que había en el equipo, ya que nos dimos cuenta de algunas colecciones en curso. Vergüenza realmente como todo el mundo era amable y la comida era buena.

Booked in for an early dinner with my family before attending a show at the theatre. I was greeted with lovely smiles and was seated on my table straight away! Our server Amelia was so warming and lovely! I had a lasagna which I would highly recommend! All around great food and great service from Amelia!! Thank you.

I came in for a meal by myself. I was greeted by a lovely lady (didn’t catch her name but she was short with brown hair) who quickly sat me down and took my order. I had a calamari to start and the Chicken Calzone which I would highly recommend. A lovely girl called Amelia was very attentive and offered me a second drink and dessert. I would highly recommend coming here, couldn’t fault it!

Had pizzas for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly, especially from our server Willow. The atmosphere was relaxed and everyone was welcoming. Definitely a good place to go.

I have been to many other locations for this chain and never been so disappointed by the food and service as I was last night, we brought a friend there for the first time and had decent service to start off but then felt like we were being ignored along with all the other tables around us. Tables were not being cleared and we had to repeatedly ask for water. Everyone was waiting for their food for over 40 minutes and all though our pizza was good the sides were incredibly disappointing.

Never had any onions for the pizza that I ordered then ordered a drink from the menu not in stock it seemed everything I ordered was out of stock. Service was poor asked several times for a drink only to be ignored.

100% recommend pizza express. 100% would not recommend just eat

The Pizza Express order page kept putting the delivery time back by 5 minutes repeatedly. Now, 2.5 hrs after I placed the order, it's still showing that the courier is at the restaurant. My order has not been delivered & I have no cancel option.

Nos sentimos tan desagradables en este restaurante. Nuestra comida no ha sido servida por más de una hora. Llegamos alrededor de las 6: 45 pm y esperó hasta las 8 : 30 pm pero aún así no se sirvió comida, ni siquiera los aperitivos que pedimos. Seguimos nuestra orden, pero ellos sirvieron primero a los que vinieron después de nosotros varias veces. ¡Así que nos fuimos! ¡El peor restaurante en el que hemos estado!

As a traveler, I visited with my son. The pizza was tasty, but I felt very unwelcome. To make matters worse, they cleared my food while I was still eating!!! Unbelievable!!! A place I will never visit again!

Great restaurant, conveniently located. Wasnt particularly busy for a Sunday evening. Great team, very helpful and knowledgeable! Both pizzas were hot, served quickly and of good quality. Decided on desserts as well and the sundae and cheesecake were great! House red went down well and good coffee to finish off the meal!

Today I ordered my favorite Pollo Pesto Pasta from your restaurant.. The pasta arrived white and not green.. We asked the waiter why.. The waiter was convinced that we were wrong and the pasta was right and kept arguing with us.. So we pulled out a picture from your restaurant's Instagram to make sure it should be green.. He didn't try to listen to us and kept talking while leaving us and said I'm just a waiter and I'm passing your comment to the chef.. So why didn't you do that the first time?.. After a while the waiter disappeared for a long time which strangely made the restaurant without service.. it was the time for the staff to change.. But it was the longest exchange I've ever seen in my life.. And the new waiter came without making eye contact with us at all, talking to us with his eyes somewhere else.. We smiled at him and he didn't smile and didn't make eye contact with us.. This branch is the strangest branch of Pizza Express I've ever visited.

The food was excellent, I went for a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza which was delicious, washed down with a nice Peroni of course. My daughter , who is aged 9, enjoyed the dough balls, pepperoni pizza and chocolate brownie. It was great to take up the kids eat free offer, also she enjoyed the bambinocinno at the end! The service was excellent, Kanika served us and she was such a great host, from welcoming us in, through to when we left - so friendly and helpful. The food courses all arrived in good time which was great too, when eating out with a child especially. It was a really good experience all round.

Ridiculous service. ‘Kids eat free’ but if we are so slow to remove your main course dishes (25 mins) and you have the theatre to go to so don’t have time for your kids to order dessert then we have to charge you more than an actual kids menu price!!! response received and has no bearing on me as we won't be back- worst Pizza Express in the country

Mis amigos y yo fuimos a cenar a este Pizza Express el 25 de agosto. Después de terminar nuestras pizzas, uno de mis amigos fue al baño y mientras estaba allí vio al chef - ¡el chef! - saliendo de un cubículo y saliendo del baño sin lavarse las manos. Cuando mi amigo compartió esto con nosotros, todos estábamos disgustados. Mi amigo se acercó y miró la cocina abierta, y vio que el fregadero de la cocina estaba lleno y rodeado de masa y no parecía estar en uso. Cuando el servidor vino con la factura, le expliqué lo que se había visto y pedí hablar con el gerente sobre esto. El servidor era encantador, amable y comprensivo. Era excelente. Lamentablemente, unos minutos después, el propio chef vino a hablar con nosotros. Como alguien que maneja un negocio por sí mismo, me sorprendió esta terrible decisión. Había pedido hablar con el gerente: obviamente el gerente debería venir a mí. Enviar al chef, por un asunto tan incómodo de higiene personal, es una gestión sumamente deficiente. Lo que empeoró las cosas fue que el chef, en lugar de disculparse, se mostró a la defensiva y grosero con sus asquerosas acciones. Admitió que no se había lavado las manos en el baño, pero insistió en que las había lavado en el fregadero de la cocina antes de preparar cualquier comida. También afirmó haber hecho contacto visual con mi amigo sobre esto y sugirió que se asegurara de que su amigo lo viera lavándose las manos. Hay muchos problemas con esto. En primer lugar, mi amigo dice que no hubo contacto visual. En segundo lugar, ¿por qué querría el chef hacer tal contacto visual a menos que supiera que había hecho algo malo? En tercer lugar, el fregadero evidentemente no estaba en uso inmediato. Finalmente, aunque todo lo que el chef había dicho fuera cierto, sigue siendo antihigiénico y repugnante salir del baño -y en el proceso tocar superficies, tocar la puerta del baño, abrir la puerta de la cocina para llegar al fregadero y demás- sin lavarse las manos. De manera crucial, el chef admitió que no se había lavado las manos en el inodoro. Le expliqué cómo esto era antihigiénico y poco profesional. El chef no se disculpó remotamente. Se puso agresivo conmigo y me preguntó si no lo había entendido. Me sentí intimidado y sorprendido. Mis amigos y yo queríamos que esta situación incómoda terminara y la cuenta se pagó rápidamente solo para que pudiéramos salir de allí. Es absolutamente repugnante que el chef usara el inodoro, y luego saliera de un cubículo -especialmente usando un cubículo, no un urinario- sin lavarse las manos. En lugar de que viniera el gerente cuando le pedí esto, vino el chef. En lugar de disculparme, tengo agresión y grosería. Una experiencia horrible.

I ordered smoky bbq chicken pizza and pesto dough balls and both of them tasted below average. It was an online delivery and both the items were cold AF. Didn't expect this from pizza express. I loved pizza express in India and thought it might taste the same or even better but I was disappointed.

So just eaten here as working away for a night. First of looking at the reviews the manager only makes comments on 4+ star reviews and in my opinion should be rectifying the poor ones. Walked in and Restaurant was cold. I asked if there was a warmer table/area. The reply was its all the same. I ordered a pizza and a beer, went to the toilet and there was a member of staff just sitting on the upstairs doing nothing. Oh it was warmer. Pizza arrived, warm not hot and a little undercooked. No one came over to ask how my meal was. I finished and asked for the bill, then had to wait quite a while before anyone came over to take payment. There was only 4 tables in the restaurant. I usually use pizza express when working away but Honestly this was poor.

I go to Pizza Express quite regularly. The food was good but service a bit hit and miss. Our order came promptly but then no-one checked if everything was ok and it took a couple of reminders to get the bill though we'd said we needed to go as we were moving on to a gig. The only let down was when I asked for extra soda water in my drink, the waiter looked confused, went away to find out and no-one came back.

This meal was shockingly bad. Firstly it’s over priced with no information on the size of the pizza. Then the food came flat and cold with staining black char at the bottom of it

The cheese dough has a lot of cheese ! We have also ordered BBQ Burnt Ends pizza . We have clearly say the name BBQ burnt ends , Burns Ends only comes with beef . However, the first pizza we received its chicken . The waiter kindly help us to change it back to beef . However ,sadly the beef pizza we received only got a little amount of beef ! There is a big difference from the pizza we saw in deliveroo ! The amount of beef is too little . Moreover , even compare with the amount of chicken , the amount of beef is less than that . £16.75 a pizza this amount of beef is unacceptable.

Poor service and overpriced for quality

I had a take away and the pasta alforno was ok ISH lots of stringy mozerella and hardly any cheese sauce if any ,and pasta under done, the halloumi balls were really nice ,I dipped them in garlic butter dip ,then after had extreme stomach acid,and chocked on acid in sleep even though on meds for it then next day extreme vomiting and diarrhea and feeling unwell ,

Ridiculously expensive for what it is

honestly i’ve never been so disappointed to hear about my friends oxford road pizza express experience. She had ordered a bruschetta and upon arriving we came to the realisation that she had received a plane piece of bread. upon looking at the bread there were several slits within the bread which could have been interpreted two way. either the team at pizza express were trying to trigger my tryphopobia or alternatively the team was trying to rub in the fact that the bruschetta was missing from the bruschetta. upon calling the restaurant they denied any responsibility and instead blamed it on the driver who had supposedly eating the bruschetta. a far fetched excuse like this, accompanied with the already cold nature of the food, was enough to ward me far far from order pizza express again.

Food was freezing cold and I was sent a slice of bread instead of an actual bruschetta. And then told on the phone there was nothing the restaurant could do to resolve the issue.

A MASSIVE thank you. Me and my girlfriend had had a scare not far from this restaurant in regard to a very low wheelchair battery, meaning it needed a charge. Both of us being hungry, we killed two birds with one stone and came in for an early dinner and an opportunity to let the chair charge up. Once this was explained, they were very accommodating, making sure we had adequate space as well as a plug for the charger itself. On top of good food and good service, a workforce this accommodating for interabled couples/disabled people in general always makes me smile. We’ve been in accessible and welcoming places before, but the fact it wasn’t made to seem like a chore is such a welcoming thing. Special props to the guy who took our payment; it’s a rare treat for someone to side with us about how self- centred the people of Manchester can be. From Finley and Melike, Thank you!!

Booked a table here as we were going to the theatre, as it’s really convenient and close by. The restaurant was very busy, and I was quickly shown to the table by the helpful host. When our waiter came to take our drinks order, I explained I had a free dough balls with the app, and whilst we perused the menu, he brought out our dough balls. Due to my sister and I chatting, we kept forgetting to look at the menu, but the staff we friendly and saw as soon as we were ready. Our waiter helped my sister choose between 2 pizzas and he asked if I wanted anything adding to replace the fact I didn’t want anchovies in my salad. Great service from our waiter, who also explained how to use the app to deduct the dough balls! I didn’t get the name of the waiter, but know he was originally from Byker in the North East. He was a great waiter, very personable, knowledgeable about the menu and was generally a great waiter!

O my goodness. Came from Northern Ireland. Got pizza and chips from here . Had eight chips in box yes 8 chips price for 2 pizzas and 3 chips £47 not impressed.. folks pizza was good chips 8 chips in a box think you could do better than that !!!

The food was pretty good. I went with a group of friends, I'm not big on pizza so I had the pasta. Was a perfect size. The service was amazing and really catered to us. Very polite. One thing that lets the place down is I felt like we where on top of one another. We where really really close to the next table, it felt like I was sat on their knee
