The best restaurants in Manchester North West

We normally like Wagamama a lot and have eaten at their various restaurants in different parts of the country. Normally it has been a good experience but quite so this time sadly. This was our first time in Didsbury whilst attending a conference nearby. I had saku, saku duck soba,  and my wife requested a self designed donburi bowl. Both meals were acceptable but not great. My wife's donburi bowl had a lot of cauliflower rice and my duck soba whilst nice, was not really a well balanced meal as there were very few vegetables. Quite a lot of spring onions and some chillies but really something like sugar snap peas or mangetout is needed. It was largely noodles. Also we did not find the waiter very friendly or personable, It just really felt like we were being processed. Furthermore, I scored atmosphere only two stars because we were seated right next to where all of the Deliveroo take out packages were being collected So a little disappointed really and not sure we will go back to Wagamama anymore.

Incredibly hostile staff. We sat in their seating area by accident, as it stretches over to the next 2 venues. the bartender ran out and told us we got a minute to leave or he will take our beers. Definitely out of his mind that guy. will not come back

We booked to ho here. The 0kace was quite empty, we were lead to a table that I didn't fancy as was in middle of the room and next to an entrance so asked to be moved to a booth one table over from the original offered table. After ordering our drinks we were told that our chosen place was not open for orders so we left. I can recommend that if the restaurant wants to have people stay and spend money with them to not put restrictions on were diners can sit.

Lovely staff. The curry they were doing for free for customers smelt amazing !! Came in for my half a mild. Holts pubs are always friendly ❤️

The staff that work here really are absolutely incredible!! They brighten up your and day and truly care about the customers. Everyone I work with always talk about how great the staff are and a special mention has to go James!! Thank you for the post wedding recognition today it honestly made my day!!

Very little food for such a high price

Fantastic food, enjoyable drinks and lovely staff - friendly, accommodating and constantly ensuring we had a drink in our hands! We asked for a special request to play Tate Mcrae music as we were seeing her in concert post-brunch and they came through!! Highly recommend. Really a great time. Thank you 🩷

Going by my most recent experiences, you guys have done well (at this moment in time) to earn more stars.. Although, (in the past) you have delivered us cold/tasteless pizza and wedges.. Your takeaway isn't too faaar down the road from us - a 4 minute drive away..This quality of service wasn't good enough because (back then) it had left my mother very very disappointed with her order... Pizza is decent but I hear there are better places on Stockport Road for 🍕 Well done on redeeming yourselves! 👍

I recently passed through Manchester twice and made three visits to this Greggs. 2 sausage rolls + 1 sausage, bean & cheese melt = £4.70 (take away). 1 sausage roll + 1 americano coffee = £2.85 (eat in). 1 sausage roll + 1 vegetable bake = £3.40 (take away). The food was hot & delicious, the staff were great. If you want to sit down and enjoy your food there are a decent amount of tables & seats. I did so on one of the three occasions.

Absolutely love this place, Will definitely be coming back. Angel who was serving is an excellent host. And the owner definitely wants to keep superb staff like this.

Came for the bottomless brunch, had a great time. Ange was very attentive and friendly. The pizza was nice and we enjoyed playing darts and beer pong.
