The food here is so good. The portions are generous.

Amazing food, great music, good staff. Quite a student vibe so wasn't quite an old couples date night lol bit we enjoyed it and the food was epic. I had the pork belly tray and hubby had pulled pork tray. We also shared jerk loaded fries. Very delicious. Highly recommend but prob more suited to youngsters.

Excellent food and taste. Some good draft beer. Nothing wrong with furniture and fittings but a bit dark lightwise (midday). Would benefit from some subtle mood lighting (not too bright).

Don’t accept provisional licenses as a form of ID because there’s “too many fakes” but didn’t even read it. Strange. £1.99 pint deal would’ve been nice 🥲

Great spot for a couple of beers or something to eat, staff always friendly and it's got plenty of seats etc. They sometimes have cheap pints on at set times & occasionally extend the times etc, worth following them on instagram to see when 😀

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had visiting a bar the level of hygiene standards which are not being ignored is shocking. The toilets the had human faeces sick all over there is no door on the toilets in the cubicle absolutely vile Avoid all stay away from this place. Honestly to say this place serves food is worrying. Wish I would have took photos of the disabled and men’s toilets. Need reporting this place.

Solid beer, nice to sit outside.

Visited on a very warm and sunny afternoon. Beer tables outside were absolutely rammed but we managed to find a seat. Service in the bar was rapid.

I had the beef brisket tacos and they were delicious, I also tried my friends pork tacos and they were also full of flavour.

Was here with work friends yesterday evening enjoying a few drinks, and was really disappointed with the service. Wait times etc were fine but the server was quite rude when they spilled some Guinness on our table and on a member of our group. When this was mentioned they didn't apologise. Later in the evening I ordered two spirit/mixer drinks which came to £22 (quite steep I felt but was obviously willing to pay or I wouldn't have ordered), 30 minutes later the drinks hadn't came so I enquired of the waiting staff if they were about to come out as up until this point service was quite timely. I was told no drinks like that were ordered. I showed the payment had been taken, so the server got the manager, who again was quite rude. I was asked to show the receipt - which I did - and they checked the table to ensure I hadn't gotten the drinks. Again no apologies were given. We finally got the drinks but I felt awkward like we weren't welcome, so we left as soon as we drank them. I myself have worked in hospitality and I always make a special effort to be polite and understanding as I know serving the public isn't the easiest job, but just felt like we were a major inconvenience rather than welcomed to the establishment. I wouldn't recommend here for group drinks as there are other establishments in the square who have the exact same outside seating for sun/drinks.

Had a great time in Quarter House, food was amazing, only issue was some girl called Poppy and her mates causing trouble. One broke a chair and then started kicking off , it was like watching the Tasmanian Devil in action. Was kind of hot but at the same time scary. Anyway the nice staff asked her to quietly leave and that made me feel safe.

What a dive! We visited today after one of our group saying they wanted to try it. The sun was out so it was busy outside, but fairly empty inside. As we walked in we were told its app service only, and we couldn’t order from the bar. One of our group asked about the availability of alcohol free drinks, and was told ‘everything’s on the app’. The app / site is clunky and isn’t set up to make changes to orders (adding or subtracting items), nor does it explain what different sauces are. Although handily, it does facilitate an ‘admin charge’ per order - which is nice… I was already annoyed at having to use the app, when it became more work than it was worth - I decided not to order anything. Another member only ordered fries and another ordered a few things to try. The food was absolute junk! Dry, flavourless and overpriced. There was loads left to be cleared away. To think, if one of the many staff who were stood behind the bar not doing much, had taken our order, we would’ve ordered twice as much, if not more. As it turns out, they did us a favour and saved us some money! Definitely one to avoid! Recommendation - Yard and Coop is just round the corner, that’s nice and the food is tasty!

On a nice day this is one of the biggest outdoor drinking venues in Manchester.

Booked a corner of this awesome place for my 40th birthday lunch, and couldn't be more pleased. Great food; wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Would heartily recommended for anyone to come here, and I will certainly do so again.

Possibly amongst the worst places to drink in Manchester and exemplifies everything wrong with the Northern Quarter. Uncomfortable picnic benches shoved together on the tarmac fenced in by metal railings. Felt like we were just sat in a dirty carpark. Upon entering the bar we were shouted at by an angry man to get back outside and order from the table. Not so welcoming. Sat at the table you are forced to use their QR code to order, who needs to speak to anyone anyway? Ordered two pints which took half an hour to arrive. I can only assume because they had a backlog of drinks not being served due to lack of staff and one young lad carrying them out by hand one at a time. That genuinely happened. No one working there appeared to have any idea what was going on or why it was happening and I couldn't even relax with a cigarette whilst I waited because despite being sat on the tarmac outside you can't smoke or even vape. Why? This was also a Saturday evening and the place was half empty. It's clear why.

Went to Quarter House Beer & BBQ on a whim - am really glad I did, the food did not disappoint in any way shape or form.

This is definitely a bar that serves food rather than a restaurant. Overall burgers were good but had a disintegrating soggy bottom for one of them. Watered down sauce on chicken wings. Very disappointing drinks £9 cuba libre was just an overpriced rum and coke in a plastic half pint glass. Have to agree with other reviews toilets were a state and this was at 7pm. Went here based on recommendation and was disappointed.

Disgusting behaviour of the bartender. He used to open for God knows how long tonic bottle from behind the bar. I am paying for tonic so I am expecting to have a fresh one for my gin.

The sun was shining in Stevenson Square so it was lovely grabing a table in the large outside area in the square. Lovely having a beer and soaking in the rays.

Service was fast and friendly, good vibe and plenty of outdoor seating.

Those loaded fries and just as good as they sound. Love their deals on house lager. When we went in was quite a busy afternoon in the week, wish there was someone else to help out the bartender take orders, serve food, and pull pints🤦 but he did great with managing it all himself.

I was looking for a place where I could eat and work from and this was perfect. They have nice tables, that even have outlets nearby, and the food service is really fast. As it was a sunny day I was able to work quietly inside as the majority of the guests were enjoying the sun outside. The food was medium low but the doses were of good size. Staff was friendly and music was great!

Unsafe, not clean, unfriendly staff. Me and my friends went to visit on a nice sunny day, the chair my friend was sat on broke in half forcing him to propel into the table in front of us he could of been injureded if we didn't stop his fall. All of our drinks on the table spilt and management was rude when we explained the situation to them, even tho they took away the broken chair and saw the situation unfold. When asking for our drinks to be replaced (which were brand new) we were told to “f*** off unless buying a new drink. Will never be returning again.

BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED! I went for lunch here today with a friend, after wanting to go for so long, sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. First, we realised when we were sat down that we had been charged wrong for our food, but not wanting to make a fuss, we thought not to raise it and awaited our food. When it came, my friends order was completely wrong, we were the only 2 people sat in there for lunch, so I don't know how you get half of the orders wrong!? We both hate to see food wasted and knew had we complained then this would have ended up in the bin, my friend tried to eat what they could but it was not to their preference and so didn't end up eating much. I ordered the Tex-Mex Brisket tray... it wad NOT Brisket! I love Brisket and have had it many times, but this, sadly, was not Brisket but was, in fact, pulled beef in a spicy BBQ sauce, tragic mis-sell to say the least! All in all, such a poor experience that I have to say I doubt I will return to give it another shot, a shame because it had so much promise but failed miserably to deliver!

The best looking food in the NQ with the most disappointing taste! It was decent food but the aesthetics of it set you up for much higher. Burgers are decent but loaded fries are over priced and a let down. Overall a decent option but there is a lot out there

Disgusting . Went to order food at the bar and a man pushed infront of me and ordered his , I waited . Next the barman told me we’ve stopped serving food. I said I’ve been waiting longer than the guy you just served . He said kitchen is closed I had to put his order in quickly before it closed . It was 8.40 pm . Is that a time that a kitchen usually closes? Little short guy was just scared of the big bloke and didn’t mind telling me it was closed. Don’t ever go

Half price pints enticed us in, but I probably wouldn't frequent outside of this offer. £5.25 for 2 pints of house beer, is great, but outside of that offer, I can't say how comfortable I am paying £5.25 for a pint of house lager. Popular beer brands are available, but are pricey even when compared to similar pubs in the area. However, my primary issue is with the service we received. When we moved outside because the pub was rammed, we were told our glasses must be swapped to plastic cups. The barmaid offered to pour the pints resulting in her spilling a quarter of my pint down my leg and didn't stop when the pint continued to spill over onto the floor. When pouring my partner's pint, it was 80% head so the barmaid offered to replace that one but completely blanked that she'd just poured quite a bit of beer over my jeans. I get that mistakes happen, but the lack of concern and customer care was slightly shocking.

Not a place for ambience...more a bar for drinking's sake methinks

Went in for 1, and would have stayed for 2 but the toilets were leaking it stank of piss, it was freezing and they didn't accept cash.

Fabulous. Best beer I've had in Manchester. The food was super tasty. Tacos were great but the star was the chicken wings in Raspberry Chipotle hot sauce were the star. Staff were great, friendly, and helpful.

I was definitely intrigued by this place and have been wanting to visit for a while now and today I finally went and I was not disappointed. It was a quiet Sunday on my first visit, I believe it was 40 minutes past opening time and I was the only person in there which isn’t a bad thing for me. Service was very prompt and the staff were very polite and friendly. The food was amazing in flavour and definitely worth another visit to try something else on the menu, a highlight for me with the comeback sauce. The music selection was class as well, did enjoy a good sing whilst waiting and eating my food. The only two notes I can make is that the chicken gravy could be more flavourful but nothing to complain about and the second note would be I would love an increase on the cocktail menu but this isn’t a cocktail bar so I can’t complain on that either.

Staying in Manchester for work, stumbled into this place fantastic music bar staff and atmosphere 👌

The food options are varied with plenty of choice. We had a mix of different dishes and all we good. The tacos are grate and the korean chicken was flavourful. You get a large portion for the sides as well. The home brew beer is nice as well and cheap.

Looks like you have to order from an app. I went to try to order at the bar and someone took my seat. So I left.

Place is fine, nothing particularly good or bad. The brisket was very dissapointing though, for some reason it came shredded and was very dry.

First time visiting quarter house and will definitely be returning. We had the big tray meals and they were fantastic, the chicken wings were gigantic and the crispy coated chicken was superb, KFC need to learn a trick or two from your fried chicken 👍. Cracking choice of beers on offer with great music and atmosphere.

Best BBQ ribs we have ever had. We would come back to Manchester for these alone. We had the full rack between the two of us which was perfect and lots of food to share. Shame it was so quiet but music was great. Will definitely be back in the future 😁😁

Noisy, buzzing, rowdy, I loved it. Feels like a sports bar clashing with a restaurant and it works. Good prices, food was very moorish and drinks service was great, will be coming here again with a few mates and the work lot as it's the perfect place for an outing.

Purpose of visit: quick dinner after work Good selection of drinks. The food here is excellent. We usually have the JFC and chicken wings, which is a nicer version of KFC and is really good. Other options are loaded fries, ribs, and burgers etc. All look very good. It's quite small overall but has a good atmosphere. It's not great for accessibility as there are stairs to get in (no hand rail), and the toilets are up a lot of stairs

This place deserves more credit! I'm not sure why it's only rated 4 star as I had some of the best BBQ food I've ever had here! 👏🏼

Food was delicious. Drinks a little pricey. Would recommend the prawns and ribs. Partner really enjoyed the Nashville wings however they were hotter than the game changer sauce.

One of the best BBQ joints in Manchester - super quick service via at-seat ordering. Tried a range of options, ribs a bit basic but the rest from tacos, pork belly and burgers was absolutely delicious and can't fault the price at the size of the meals which are great! Will definitely be returning!

Unhygenic, filthy. £24 for a bottle of red, slung into a cheap n nasty looking plastic carafe accompanied by two equally manky looking plastic glasses, both handed to me by the barman with his fingers firmly stuck inside them. No thanks.

The gentleman behind the bar was very helpful and even splashed a bit of orange in some water at no charge for my little lad. The food though, they really nail it. We had a big tray at £17 which had a real array of treats on it, the fried chicken is done really well and the fries had a good dusting flavour to them. At £8.50 and £8 the wings and tacos were good, though the tacos felt better value.

Visited here recently for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Loads of seating inside and out, staff really lovely and food was great. They even did a free drink for our 3yo. Halloumi tacos were excellent, very tasty and a good size portion. Hubby enjoyed one of the large trays. Everything was great, reasonably priced and can’t wait to visit again and try something else!

Walk ins seem to be standard as you can't book. Self-service only uses a QR code that takes you to an app. The app needs to be more streamlined and user friendly, its quite fiddly to find dishes. It also adds a service charge and admin fee everytime you order off it. So if you started with a main and drink, then wanted another drink and finally ordered dessert, you would pay multiple admin and service charges. Drinks only come in plastic cups, shame considering the price point of the drinks. Jerk chicken Loaded fries was nice and The big trays are massive and are probably enough for a couple to share. A few rough edges and niggles that need improvements, but the food was good.

Perfect, very chilled, lovely bar staff who went above and beyond! One guy (didn’t catch his name) even went out to get a pack of cards for us to play with! All very cheery and amazing food!

Food to die for 😋😋😋😋 Everything we ordered was presented magnificently. Portion sizes are hugh. Although I didn't like the ordering via QR (too old for new tricks). The bar staff were very accommodating in taking my order at the till. All the staff were really helpful & everyone had a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff we spoke to. We were sat next to the kitchen so, we were also able to compliment the great chefs. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant & will be back.

Had the brisket tacos and it was very salty. The sauce it came with was not tasty at all. The other person at my table had the tacos as well and theirs was salty, so not just me. The music inside was so loud, we couldn't even talk to each other. Overall did not enjoy my visit.

Unable to eat in this dreadful establishment as they refused my cash. Rude and dismissive. They clearly discriminate against the disabled, the old and those with learning difficulties - the most likely groups to not have a smartphone or credit/debit card. Kind of like turkeys voting for Christmas, as a corrupt cashless society will lead to more business closures and job losses. If a so-so restaurant doesn't want my money, I don't want whatever they are selling.

The absolute worst most watery aperol I've ever had, it was £9!!!!

We discovered this place by accident when looking for a place that does barbecue - when we first went the portions were really big, very tasty, and the staff were nice. It seems that since then, portions have been made significantly smaller so they're no longer good value or filling enough, and the staff have become rude. We went recently for lunch and were dismissed rudely by whom I presume was the manager, saying they weren't open - yet it was significantly past their stated opening time. Won't be going back.

Fantastic meal here last month. Came before a show and was not disappointed. Food was delicious. Had the fried chicken and my dad had the beef. Both delicious. The spicy sauce was damn spicy as advertised! Good beers on tap and nice atmosphere. Would visit again!

Looks iffy from outside...but what food, i had classic triple cheeseburger with upgraded chicken swarma loaded fries, all was so good everybody in our group agreed food was top notch. Only give 4 stars for service as was a bit of a faf at first to use qr code to order foid n drinks but everything was brought quickly by servers...give it a go 😁

Utter chaos We turned up about 5.30pm attracted by the large sunny terrace. I understand the extended outdoor seating has become a permanent arrangement since Covid. But honestly the queue and the organising seating customers was terrible, there were customers nursing empty glasses and hogging tables to take the last rays of sun, when we request an intervention from the guy in charge he tells us to feel free to challenge those customers. We stand for 15 mins waiting for a vacated table and told we are next only to watch 2 walk ups request a table and bypass the queue and be seated. We challenged further and get the table. We order on the app. We order a yard bird platter and a bottle of prosseco.. £36 for this ‘bottle’ of prosseco served in a plastic carafe - warm! And two absolutely filthy plastic tumblers to drink from. 40 mins later we ask about the yard bird platter … we had paid for, one staff tells us, “ yes we are busy- it’s a normal wait’ A second staff admits no record of the order … Then we are served the wrong platter but assured the missing chicken tenders are coming. They came. 3 scrappy bit of chicken in 2 inches of crumb coating. Used the washroom before we left and there are 2 female toilets up the stairs inside and one male and the acrid smell off urine half way up the flight of stairs is still lingering in my nostrils .. Again appreciate the building wasn’t designed for the absolute volume of patron that the outside terrace now generates but the management should be ashamed of their greed and poor organisation. You need more staff, more training, better hygiene. Avoid it.
