I had the Hood Salad Bowl but all it consisted of was a packet of Supermarket salad leaves, one very thin slice of past its best over-ripe tomato and half a cooked sweet potato chopped up. There was no feta cheese, cashews or pumpkin seeds as stated on the menu. At £12.95 it was grossly overpriced.

Charged us for drinks but never gave them. Refused a refund when asked politely, even asked a bouncer who came to assist with the situation and he said it was unfair that there wasn’t a refund. Avoid this bar.

My first time at a TGI Friday, and my first time eating out at Speke Retail. Won't be doing either again after this visit. I came in with my mum and daughter on a Sunday afternoon after trying Zizzi's and getting told they were closing down due to lack of customers and barely had any ingredients. TGI's similarly had very few people dining despite a busy shopping park outside. The atmosphere inside was was grim. More staff than customers, and we still got poor service with long waits on our drinks and food. Rather than once checking on us, the management where running around having loud, obnoxious conversations with each other and some of the customers about operational issues affecting the business. Really bizarre. Then the food. Shockingly bad value for money. £20 for a bog standard burger and chips. £7 for a side of onion rings. None of it was that good either. Really average. These restaurants are under a lot of pressure due to overheads and inflation, I get it. But nobody is eating in them because they're just too expensive for what they are.

Visit on Friday afternoon. Cool day but no discernible heating in the pub . At the price of booze should be able to heat the pub ! Packed with noisy kids ! In summary, cold overpriced kindergarten masquerading as a pub 👎
