The best restaurants in Lancaster North West

This place has incredible food. A great choice of menu, authentically cooked, fresh, hot, perfectly portioned, and great value for money. The service was good and the dining area comfortable. It's not a big restaurant so you may want to book. This was our first visit and we will travel the 40 minutes to return again.

Not a fan of the new system of ordering a sandwich the days of getting anything you wanted are gone now it’s all set sandwiches with the meat they want to give you and the veg that they think goes well with it ridiculous I loved subway for the freedom of choosing what you want down to the bread sad to see things change like this it will be one of my last times at subway.

Haven't eaten here for years as I wasn't keen last time but a couple of people I know said it was their regular so gave it another go. Beef satay was lovely, friend's deep fried chilli beef she thoroughly enjoyed but the over fried battered "stuff" was awful. One dish was meant to be mixed sweet and sour but this was a cardboard box of hard, dried up bits, in hard overcooked batter that had cracked open it was so hard. There was certainly the remnants of a prawn in one but it had the consistency of those weird air dried sweets. There were long, thin strips/slivers of a dry, grey meat but again, so overcooked I don't know what it was. The sweet n sour sauce was separate so we just poured that over the rice (rice was nice!) and avoided the over crispy battered, unappealing offerings. Son, who is a hoover when it comes to Chinese food, only ate the rice and sauce so to me, that speaks volumes.

Got the chicken in black bean, it was tasteless and chewy chicken. Really disappointed. Spring rolls had too much pepper seasoning in it too

Nice to find a traditional comfy pub with lovely open fire. Friendly landlady. We had good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The BEST noodles 🍜 I’ve ever eaten in my life. I didn’t really like noodles before I taste this but this noodle place made me love them. Whenever I eat them, they’re very fresh and tasty, sooo yummy. The service is amazing too. The BEST FOOD on campus. Trust me, you should try this at least once in your life before you die.

We had booked to meet a friend who lives down the road from the pub for Sunday lunch. Upon entering I noticed that the towels were on all three beer pumps, upon asking if there was any beer, the young man behind the bar informed me that there was not. The second young man obviously had a streaming cold, continually wiping his running nose with either the back of his hand or in the collar of his T-shirt. My wife wanted to leave immediately (she is a nurse and hygiene comes first) But we stayed after informing the young man with the cold (politely) to wash his hands and that we didn’t want him to serve our drinks. No beer so I opted for tap Guinness, my wife asked for a glass of Shiraz, it was obvious the young man had no idea what that was, I said ‘it’s red wine’ he said. ‘We only have these’ and one by one pulled out just three options, none of which he could either read of pronounce. We opted for the Cabernet Sauvignon, which he completely gave up on trying to say, and was the only one of the three bottles with more than a glass left in! All this time his nose was running and he was serving drinks, I did say to him, you shouldn’t be here, you should go home to bed, ‘I know he replied’ We ordered dinner, all three Sunday beef roast, two well done and one rare. When they arrived I was sort of taken aback. Mine looked rare and okay, the other two well done. But the Yorkshire puddings were flat, mine was even floppy, not even risen. The beef (although looking nice) was tough, and it might of helped if the knives had been sharp. It was a very amateurish attempt at cooking Sunday dinner. One young lad came over and asked is there anything you would like, I asked for another pint of Guinness, oh sorry, the barrel is off now, he replied. I have to be totally honest, it is the worst Sunday roast I have ever had in a pub, and no beer, a young chap with his nose dripping… Not a happy experience.

Introduction -----‐------------- I ordered from fusion tonight hoping for a good meal however i was unpleasantly surprised it was a mad one still. I spoke to the establishment and they was nothing they could do bossman would be informed. The burger ---‐------------ They were kinda mad they had potential but the buns.... they were not the one still. However, the fillets bossman get some peri peri sauce and some chicken not that turkey stuff yeh?. I would rate this a 2.0/5. Pulled pork box ------------------------- Kinda soggy but it wrong i ordered with rice but it was kinda mad how soggy it was and it was like they had put out in the rain for some time kinda mad how its that bad. Some kind of science experiment still 0.5/5 - still kinda mad but wrong shockingly Chips --------- Chips u know they were kinda peng in my box but otherwise bit soggy still. However chuck some nandos sauce on it and you got bin food I would this a 1.5/5 no go bro Conclusion ------------------- In Summary, it was terrible and me and the mandem didnt enjoy the food. However it is shockingly bad come on bossman you are better than this.

We visited this cafe twice while we visited Morecambe. Coffee was lovely. The 2 times we were their staff were run off their feet.

These burgers are so good that they are up there with the best I have had anywhere in the world…so good that my kids are always keen to go to campus to go to Wibbly…but would be nice if they did a cheap kids menu option!

Take away order… Had a 5+ takeaway orders delivered now from cafe masala. Can arrive within 30mins or 3 hours. One occasion it didn’t arrive at all. The food we have always enjoyed but have to reheat. Limited for choice on takeaways where we live, but if the service is offered it should be delivered.

El bar tiene realmente buena comida de pub, y teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida es una verdadera alternativa a la masa de comida rápida ofrecida en el campus. Por desgracia, el horario es corto (la cocina cierra a las 7 pm) que no es muy agradable. estudiante Los precios también podría ser un poco más bajo pero Lancaster parece ser un lugar caro. Además, hay un Starbuck's al lado (para los amantes del café).

Full English 7 and drinks 7 cheaper than bob and berts and as I don't like beans they offered me something else as bob and burts didn't and it was alot better quality than most places and a decent portion size 😀 also the ladies in there go the extra mile to look after you 😀 and a special shout out to the shop manager who's customer service is something was possibly the best I've ever received 😀 I couldn't of been happier with the place for it's quality of food and quality of customer service 😀
