We visited this cafe twice while we visited Morecambe. Coffee was lovely. The 2 times we were their staff were run off their feet.

We have been here many times and enjoyed the experience.Today however we were disappointment as there wasn't any facility to pay by card as the manager has the app. There wasn't anything on the menu that was gluten free. Not even the soup. The staff were very apologetic and were very helpful as far as they could be. It has put me off coming again

I visited the cafe earlier this week with my mum and my grandparents who were visiting for the week from the West Midlands. They love Morecambe and always enjoy coming to stay here. My grandma struggles with her mobility and so after parking in the market car park we decided to get something to eat at Oliver's. The cafe is light and airy and although very basic in terms of facilities, it has everything you need for a straightforward meal. Unfortunately, the lady who took our order must have written it down incorrectly, as we ordered a toasted teacake for my grandma which never arrived. Instead, she ended up with a portion of chips when we had only asked for one (for my grandad), but we had been waiting a considerable amount of time by this point and decided not to bother mentioning it. The service is quite slow but I accept that there were only two members of staff working (one in the kitchen and one on the till). The sandwiches we ordered were generously filled with fresh cooked ham/turkey and they were really lovely, but the plate they were served on was very small and a bit impractical. The coffees and hot chocolate were very nice. I did find a small hair inside my sandwich, which wasn't good, but I decided not to make a fuss about it because I just wanted to enjoy the time with my grandparents. Overall it's a nice enough place, but the service could be more organised and efficient.

Its clean and tidy and without meaning to be critical its basic. Its a great place to start your bargain hunting, particularly at weekends when they have the big car boot on the nearby car park. The cafe is in the market building and there are a wide variety of traditional market stalls. Great at what it does.

Our first visit in February was amazing. For a fiver, you got a splendid breakfast. Two sausages, three rashers of bacon, baked beans, black pudding, two fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, a hash brown and lashings of lovely toasted bread, plus a cup of tea. Over the last few months we’ve seen the quantity and the quality slowly going down. Today we got, one egg, one sausage, one piece of bacon, two small mushrooms, baked beans, one hash brown, a tiny tomato, and one piece of cheap supermarket pre sliced bread toasted. No black pudding, no fried bread. Won’t be going back.

After a lengthy drive to Morecambe we needed somewhere to eat and we came across this cafe, after walking around the indoor market. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and dealt with our order promptly. Quality of our breakfasts were amazing, plentiful and with a fantastic price. The fresh brewed coffee was spot on. The other traders along the corridor also made us feel most welcome, it was like we had known them for ages. Our dog was also allowed into the market as well. Next door is a fantastic vintage hair salon which has the most amazing decorations, after eating breakfast I popped in and had my hair done which was just an outstanding service. All in all this was a dream experience from start to finish. Many Thanks to all... Looking forward to another very visit soon.

Breakfast to be recommended excellent value and not greasy. Service not the quickest but worth the wait. Chairs could do with replacing it ideal for someone with a bad back but we will visit again 🙂

Looked busy, all can say is not an enjoyable visit. Service non existent took order 2 full English 2 brews, brews arrived thankfully can’t get tea wrong. The cappuccino was just cheap coffee with froth mail and chocolate powder, these arrived 10 mins before the food so nothing to drink with the food, when the food arrived first thing you noticed was the amount of grease as if everything just been chucked from frying pan to plate without any draining. The food was hot that’s all can say, the fried eggs were crispy has cooked on too high a heat and even had egg shell in as well. Sorry to say I would not eat here again.

This morning we visited Oliver’s cafe in Morecambe market with our dog. What a find! Bring a bit of a food snob, I wasn’t expecting much in the way of quality. I mean, market food is bound to be of lower quality than anywhere else...right? WRONG! Not only was the welcome warm and friendly, but the breakfast was second to none! Absolutely no exceptions. It was superb. Our dog was well happy too. 10/10

Called here for a quick coffee and a toastie at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. Tried to order some food but was told they'd finished serving food so I just ordered the coffee and a hot chocolate. It's now 3.30pm and we've watched them serve food to four people and we still haven't had our drinks. Seriously poor service and not an experience we'll be repeating.

This cafe must serve the best breakfast in Morecambe! What a great meal I was treated to today. The quality of the ingredients was second to none, perfectly cooked and well presented without any sign of fat or oil. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. I'll certainly be going here on a regular basis.

This was my first time here and I was treating the family and it was not good. We had to wait 20 minutes just for the drinks that we ordered and even then one of them was wrong. We had to wait 45 minutes for the food and it was a bit cold. I would not recommend this place for a family meal out. This was disappointing

I regret having to write this review and that my first review has to be bad. First of all the food here is fine, it's basic but I have no complaints about that. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the staff. Myself and my husband visited on the 5th September. The cafe was not very busy at the time and it took some time to get served, there was loud laughter and noise from the kitchen and the two girls who seemed to be running the place were just on the mobile phones. Eventually we were served and had a girl with a very curt attitude. Food and drinks arrived in decent time but the attitudes of the staff has really put us off returning. Upon having our order put in front of us the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering, there seemed to be no care to hygiene and I would not return due to rudeness and lack of customer service.

Well I am a local person to this café & I must say that I was very impressed, the service that I was given by the young ladies who we running the café were very polite, well mannered & on the whole a great atmosphere. The food was of a very good standard and was of good portion size, just what you need whilst you are shopping @ the market. I do recommend you go & give it a try. I shall be returning here again.

Popped in here for a quick bite whilst visiting Morecombe at the weekend. A Vintage Fair was on and the town was very busy. The café was full when we arrived, but we soon got an empty table. I ordered from the counter and after about a ten minutes wait our food was served to us by a waitress. Plenty of it, piping hot and very tasty. just what we needed. Good prices and a good selection of food available.

We came upon this place after looking round Festival Market and finding ourselves in need of a bite to eat. Olivers is a great little cafe and although small it is big on service. Very friendly staff, establishment is kept very clean and tidy and the food is mostly what one would call a snack but it is very good and very good value for money. Would not hesitate to recommend this place and will definitely visit ourselves when next in Morecambe

Have been a few times to this little cafe for mainly drinks and snacks, and have always had decent service and decent food. Ultimately, it is what it is, a tiny market cafe, but it has always been totally fine for me, and is a welcome stop especially when it's cold and damp outside. Can recommend the hot chocolate!

a rainy day in Morecambe and we were on the market and popped in here for a snack it was quite late and the choice of cake was minimal, however i opted for the last piece of victoria sandwich and a pice of chocolate sandwich for my husband.my husband thought both cakes were ok (as we shared them both), however i thought they were too dry and the buttercream fillings too sweet.but its a nice little cafe cant fault the tea

This is only a small cafe, but it never seems unpleasantly overcrowded - even when all the tables are filled. The food is a class above your usual caff - we have had the Sunday roast twice now and it is very well presented and tasty. They have unlikely things on the Specials board - spaghetti carbonara, or omelette with blue cheese and bacon were listed yesterday. I had the omelette and thoroughly enjoyed the extra tang of the cheese. Waitress service from very fast-moving ladies. It's also a place where you can bring your dog (as is the Festival market, of which this occupies a corner).

My husband, sister in law and I stopped here for a snack lunch, whilst browsing around the Morecambe Market, where Oliver's is situated. We ordered two toasted sandwiches and a roll and sausage plus cold drinks between the three of us. Everything was delicious and served with salad, crisps and coleslaw. The price was reasonable and the staff were very friendly.

we sat outside in the sun over the bank holiday, and witnessed some shockers ! the young girls working here were a big let down for the business, i heard them turning people away as they were too busy, telling others theres a ten minute wait for drinks so best to go elsewhere, the drinks were being fetched outside and nobody knew whos drinks were whos, things were being put down on tables and unclaimed, the girls working here seemed completely uninterested and not very welcoming in the slightest, a pensioner ordered a bacon sandwich but then had a bacon roll shoved at him and told that would be it. then to top it off meals were being taken out and handed over on paper plates, come on please full meals being served on paper plates ? the girls probably didnt want to wash up ?overall a very disappointing experience

Don't be mistaken by the fact it's in a market so must be boring cafe food, it's ran by a woman and her partner who has ran many cafés/restaurants with the most delicious food I've had, the steak pie is to die for and everything is homemade, been back and tried chicken in wine sauce which was unbelievable! Restaurant quality at cafe price! Love it! Nt.

We have visited in the past and always been reasonably happy. Today was not a good experience. The bread was stodgy for both the egg mayonnaise baguette and the rarebit. The egg was congealing and the ‘seasonal salad’ was just a mishmash of little bits! So rather expensive at £27.85 for the above plus two traybakes and a small pot of tea. Sadly highly unlikely to return.
