Fellbites is situated right in the centre of Glenridding so is easy to get to. The menu is good and on our visit they had a number of specials too. My wife ordered Spicy lentil soup and I ordered beef burger with jalapeños and chips, both meals came out quickly, were piping hot and tasted delicious. We would recommend this place.

Sandwiches, toasted or not, well filled and freshly prepared. Other choices also looked delicious. Chips stay crispy! Delicious coffee, even the decaff. Lovely people running it, very friendly and helpful. Dogs welcome. Only open evening is Friday, also do Sunday lunch roast.

Dropped in at the end of our hike. Very friendly, great quality tea with a pot of hot water given automatically and no need to ask. Excellent home made cake. Great value for money, especially regarding it is the lakes. For two people we e paid more for just the cakes elsewhere.

We didn’t stay, just went for dinner. Atmosphere was excellent as well as service too. We had three course meal and our favorite dishes were Scottish scallops from starter and hake from main dish. Their wine selection was good so, if you love wine, the selection of courtyard dairy cheese from dessert would be recommendable too. The other starter and main dish were also okay. We definitely gonna come back but may try different restaurant.

We have been before and have recommended it to people. we will however not do so again. we were disappointed this time and won’t go again. The food was not worth the price we payed for it.The chicken was undercooked and the pudding did not appear to be homemade.

Absolutely fantastic place. The butchers produce some of the best meat and sausages you will find anywhere. All sausages are homemade on site and the Cumberland sausage with black pudding are absolutely outstanding. On top of the quality products, the service is outstanding. From the staff in the kitchen, the waiting staff in the restaurant and the butchers themselves, no-one can do enough for you. This is the only place we go now when we are in the Lakes and stock up,on bacon, sausage, eggs etc to take home to County Durham. Cannot recommend the place highly enough.

We ate here on our first of two nigths staying at the next door Ullswater Inn in Glenridding. The Orangery is a beautiful room. It is spacious. with nice views out. They could have crammed more tables in, but they haven't which gives the dining experience a lovely ambience. The service was very good. So why only an average rating? It's because we didn't feel the food was better than average. We started by sharing foccacia with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For £7.50 we got two small pieces of average foccacia with a very vinegary dip. It wasn't good and even it had been it wouldn't have been worth it. For main course, one of us had steak and ale pie with seasonal veg and mash with gravy. The steak and ale pie looked like it had been bought in with 1/3 of it served up to us. It looked twice baked. The meat was soft enough but verging on a mush in parts. It tasted reasonable but was not really flavoursome enough, The brocolli and cauliflower were both overcooked. Our other dish was vegan broad bean and pea burger with chips. The 'burger' was a little mushy with a mild flavour. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here much more than at the next door Ullswater Inn and the price was similar. However, we felt that it would and should have been so much better if the food had been better.

What a great pub. Very welcoming. The food was excellent; especially the pies and puddings. The whole family was very impressed.

Having previously had a fantastic lunch after walking from their door to do Gowbarrow, I was looking forward to spending the night with my family. We had a superb evening meal (the Pie was amazing!) and found the bedrooms super comfy and homely. The breakfast was equally lovely. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful. What more do you want? Thanks to the team at the hotel for making our stay so perfect.
