Unit 38, Chester Indoor Market, Hunter St, Chester CH1 2AR, United Kingdom, England
Let me tell you a tale of woe and disappointment. After a shopping trip in the market we thought we'd grab a quick bite, so we had a wander around and settled on this place: the American diner vibe had an appeal, and with a small menu consisting of pretty simple options we figured we'd be in and out reasonably rapidly.
[ Narrator voice: they weren't. ]
First, we stood near the counter for a couple of minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence; sure, they were busy, but nobody even took two seconds to say "we'll be with you as soon as we can".
Orders finally placed, 15 minutes later our drinks arrived. No "sorry it took so long", no nothing.
Another 10 minutes passed, and bored of being roundly ignored we asked if we could have it to go, and then resumed our waiting.
Eventually, after a wait of nearly 40 minutes since we arrived, food was ready. You know the expression "good things come to those that wait"? Don't believe it. The sweet potato fries were limp and bland, the coleslaw was soft and runny, and the three tiny slivers of Cajun chicken that constituted the main event were dry and uninteresting. My other half's wings were OK - not stellar, but passable - but truth be told the salad was probably the highlight. (Not because it was good; it was just the least bad.)
Good food can overcome poor service, and good service at least makes poor food less of an insult, but when both things are poor they just serve to reinforce each other.
(Wish I could reply to the owner's response, but this edit will have to do. Fast food places almost always look busy behind the counter so were I to follow you advice I'd never eat anywhere, there were more than two members of staff at the time (two men and a woman, if memory serves), and it's all very well telling me I should've said the food wasn't up to snuff at the time but if you'll recall we'd had to resort to getting the food "to go" so that wasn't an option, but I'm glad you've sorted your problems although I do hope it happened more quickly than the six years it took you to respond to this! Oh, and to all the people who have been calling me a "wannabe reviewer", sure, I could've just said "service slow, food bad" like some kind of neanderthal but that strikes me as being unhelpful, and if you think "taking time to write something carefully" is a bad thing then that feels like a *you* problem.)
Very tasty chicken club butty and spicy fried noodles. Very good prices. The owner is super friendly and has great sense of humour. Strongly recommend 👌

A lovely meal
Sadly 4/5 of us have got food poisoning after eating at this restaurant and when we called them to let them know they were very unhelpful.

Always loved K2H but recent experience was terrible. Food order successfully booked but then cancelled with no warning. Relish is almost as good but much more reliable.

We went to their teepee for some food and a drink today. Our first impressions what that it was a really cool spot, especially on our doorstep.
Then the food arrived.
We ordered 3 small pizzas and a side of triple-cooked chips. There is no word other than terrible to describe the quality of the food - chips were raw (never mind triple cooked), and the pizza bases tasted like half cooked cardboard. A coke and a beer cost me the best part of a tenner too - so for a £50, I feel well and truly ripped off.
They’ve got the opportunity to do something mega here, it feels like such a waste.
Next time I’ll go to the Hollie’s.
Within the hotel,a goodvset priced menu that seems to change daily. The meals are well presented and good quality although the vegetables could be better. The brocoli was overcooked and awful. The service was spot on but there was little atmosphere. Fairly priced for a hotel restaurant.
Never been before but passed it many many times.
However as we moving to mere thought it was worth checking out a few eateries before we move
This chip shop is amazing, great food, cleanliness, venue.
Lovely to either eat in either of the two open park spaces either side of the road,
The staff were nice, but are literally sat and engage the bare minimum (or they did on the day I visited) - that aside one of the best chippies I’ve been to in Cheshire
It was a wonderful experience. The food was very deliciously prepared, the service from Mario was wonderful. My only remark is that it could be a little brighter so that the menu could be read without having to use my phone to light it myself. My overall impression is wonderful!
