The best restaurants in Cheshire West and Chester North West

It makes a real change to visit a traditional old fashioned thatched cottage pub that hasn't been taken over by a pub chain. This pub is well worth a visit if you're visiting Northwich or passing through. The food is delicious and is all home cooked dishes served by friendly staff. I would definately recommend visiting this lovely pub.

Expensive for nothing out of ordinary.

Lovely food, great portion sizes. Staff/ owners very friendly and polite. Imagine it can get very busy there though - we were lucky as it was fairly quiet late on Sunday afternoon

Tried the pub for the first time since moving to the area and would not recommend. Sunday roast very average. Beef was disappointingly tough and tasteless and the vegetables were overcooked (seemed like reheated). Service was lacking and not a warm reception, especially when visiting for the first time. Restaurant area was very cold and lacked any atmosphere.

Never delivered, kept increasing the delivery time. When I cancelled I did not get a refund. Called the restaurant said it was not their problem. Called just eat and was sent to FAQ on their website. Well done guys you got 40 quid doing absolutely nothing.

Great pub great atmosphere excellent service

Held my sons 21st at Bonobos. It was the easiest party I have ever organised! Will was in constant contact in the build up and during the party. The little extras were just fabulous personalised cocktail menu, balloons, slide show, Photo Booth & wristbands. Ideal location for people to pop in for a drink or stay and party. Thanks to the attentive bar staff. Alfie G keeping the dance floor full. Tom and the door staff for looking after us and our ever changing guest list! Highly recommend if you are looking for a venue. Xx

This is the first time we have been to the Mooring restaurant and we weren't disappointed with the main courses, which were excellent, and the desserts were delicious you wouldn't get any better in a five-star hotel the owner was very friendly it was that good there that we are going back this weekend

Wonderful eatery. Food was amazing. Three of us all had something different and each dish was a winner. Staff were really friendly and genuinely seemed happy we were there. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area but will definitely be back next time I am in Chester. So nice to see an independent cafe buzzing and doing well. Hats off to the staff/owners.

Lovely staff who were most helpful as we have had no power at home for 24hrs. Made us feel very welcome despite being in for over an hour x
