Within the hotel,a goodvset priced menu that seems to change daily. The meals are well presented and good quality although the vegetables could be better. The brocoli was overcooked and awful. The service was spot on but there was little atmosphere. Fairly priced for a hotel restaurant.

4 of us had a nice meal here, inclusive of starter. Staff were very quick to serve us, I was veggie and it was lovely to have sausage and mash instead of the usual veggie offering. Only reason for the 4 stars, there was something sort of powdery about my meal and im not quite sure what it was; the sausage or the mash, but it was still very enjoyable. Soup was lovely which was brie and cauliflower. I would have happily had our second evening meal here given the option.

We checked in late, so instead of eating out as we normally would, the six of us decided to try the steak dinner with a free large glass of excellent house wine. Excellent and very good value as well, we recommend.

We throughly enjoyed our meal at the Rialto Bar & Lounge in the hotel complex, with friendly waitering service, and high quality food.

The Brasserie is an attractively decorated restaurant which looks out on the canal so you can watch the world go by. The service is very efficient and friendly and the food is well prepared and tasty. We recommend the steaks.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a great dining experience. We have visited the Mill several times for Sunday lunch and had a good meal on each occasion. Highly recommended.

A well presented table and attentive staff, but the experience was spoilt by separate issues. After placing a drinks order we were left so long that we had to ask if we were being served. Selecting a fan of melon to start the fan was harder than usual and unable to cut the centre with the knife provided. The menu described the main Salmon being served “on a bed of samphire” but my wife’s serving had no sign of any samphire at all, let alone a bed, apart from two small threads in the source. (Menu touching on misrepresentation.) The individual serving of vegetables leads to waste as having a mix of potatoes and vegetables that does not suit all tastes, many are left. The rum and raisin ice cream dessert was delicious, but who could mess that up? Sorry to find fault but that was our experience. In old school terms “Could and must do better”

Christmas lunch with 5 friends in the Cannelloni restaurant was excellent food and service considering it was full booked very well run restaurant. Unfortunately one of our party was unable to attend at very short notice. I emailed to give details , and early January I received a voucher for £15 . This certainly was a very generous gesture. I am now looking forward to returning to the Mill to enjoy another excellent meal in the very near future and many more.

Went for a meal with mother in law and aunts on my last night before I left to fly back to middle east. We were seated quickly and told we had the VIP table which was a nice touch and we then ordered our drinks, I was happy that I could have prosecco by the glass. We ordered our meals and the starters came fairly quickly, I had the duck which was lovely. The main courses arrived and I was not happy with the vegetables, two different potatoes , cauliflower and a few small pieces of carrot. I questioned the potatoes as usually when ordering a meal you choose one type of potato with your meal ( chips and jacket on your plate, I dont think so ) I asked for some green veg and was told broccoli would take 10 minutes, after 15mins I asked where it was to be told the chef hadn't been informed of the order, by now I had almost finished my meal. I ordered sticky toffee pudding and asked or ice cream instead of custard to be told there was no vanilla flavour and I had to have rum md raisin, which was rather nice to be fair. After this the staff appeared to abandon us and Andrew never apologised for the delay wirh the veg. No one came near for more drinks ans I had to catch the attention of the waitress. The staff were being very attentive to the other tables we noted and by now we were not impressed. We got the bill and waited for someone to take it, no one came. My mother in law went over to Andrew to be told to take the it to reception, no one told us this. We paid at reception and neither they or anyone in reception asked if we had had good meal, so all in all I think customer service could be improved and if a customer has a reasonable request then the staff should be able to comply with it to keep the customer happy. We left the restaurant saying we wouldn't go back although the setting is rather lovely, pity the service doesn't match !

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Not religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to "commercial development of the site" Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless ( if it helps)
