The best restaurants in Davenham and Moulton Cheshire West and Chester North West

We were due to stop here in our campervan overnight (EHU available with a 3 pin adaptor) but got flooded in at the previous site at New Years! So as the landlord was so lovely with us on the phone, we decided to at least call in on our way home and have lunch instead! The food was fabulous, very large portions and the owners are as lovely as they are on the phone!! There is so much going on here - live music, Burns night at the end of the month, folk events, car boots weather permitting and books and board games inhouse to borrow - this place is a little gem and well worth a visit! Dogs are not just tolerated but actively welcomed with spare doggy blankets and a hamper full of doggy treats to purchase at really reasonable prices! We will most definitely be back to this lovely place and bring as many friends as we can, this establishment deserves to do well!

One of my favourite restaurants but never been in for a Sunday dinner. I was not disappointed. Food innovately served with large portions. Two of us couldn't eat all the vegetables. Varied choice for the three courses. Staff were really nice. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service. Been for Sunday lunch, the Quiz and lunch today . Roast dinner was fabulous. Sticky toffee pud was divine.Lunch was Italian meatball nduja and cheese ciabatta and thick cut chips with a balsamic side salad. Very lovely. Garlic bread woth cheese onion and chilli is highly recommended too. Service from Henry was impeccable. Will be back to try more food.

Myself husband and granddaughter have just left visiting here and to say we we appalled at the condition of the animals is an understatement 🥺...rabbits sitting in broken hutches no grass a smattering of hay, mounds of poo and green water bottles, chickens with filthy water, guineapigs with similar to the rabbit one with an ulcerated eye (pics to follow) we will never return again and a report will be submitted to the correct authorities. (Unfortunately can only post a cpl of pics for some reason)

I have eaten from here often, as It is alright quality of food, but every time I have ordered from here, I have been served by a lady who is rude and will often shout at you when she doesn’t understand, she will also tell you that your in the wrong. Whilst waiting for your food you’ll hear them talking about the customers jn the back
