All the staff, front and back of house, deserve a pat on the back. They worked so hard in a very busy restaurant. Service was attentive and timely, food all arrived together and everyone was pleased with their choices.A brilliant experience.

We were visiting the Anderton Boat Lift which is just 10 minutes down the towpath from The Moorings. As the coffee shop there was quite full after the boat trip we decided to try somewhere else close by. The Moorings is a little gem of a place, run by chefs, so expect hotel like presentation of excellent food, which is worth waiting for. This is a totally different dining experience from the usual canal side cafe. Dogs are allowed inside on the hard floor area, but we sat outside with ours as it was a beautiful day and we could admire the canal boats in the marina.

We had a wonderful time greeted with the upmost warm welcome. Food was delicious, kids had board games to play. Tim the owner was lovely and was great to hear about the history of the pub. Let us stay overnight in the carpark in our Motorhome when travelling from Australia. Really recommend this place. Thanks guys 😊

I really love it here but i can't believe it is closing and becoming a kabab place. Now where am i going to get my Indian food now.

We live on Kingsmead and have been regular visitors to the Kingfisher for over 20 years. We went in tonight and left after one drink. It’s tired and the seating in areas is ripped. Really sad . It needs a refurb and we won’t be back before this!

Had run out of soup at 12.15 so just had coffee and cake. Was assured lemon drizzle cake was properly drizzled - it wasn't it might have had some lemon juice in the sugary icing but there was no lemon in the cake - very disappointing. Coffee was drinkable but that's all. I'd recommend this place for coffee and cake on a sunny day when you can sit outside with pleasant views across the Dane Valley - the indoor seating is very dinghy imho...

Good food, friendly staff, quick delivery. Hot noodle box is great value for money, my go to order.
