The best restaurants in Carlisle North West

Small to Small Medium sized area downstairs. Bar area is reasonable well stocked, though the draught selection is limited. Prices reasonable. Food is served, though I cannot comment as I didn't order anything. Upstairs, I think there is another seating area, where there is a lot more room. Toilets are clean.

D'you know what....bloody shame! I visited during their closing down sale, soooo, some good bargains, good stock selection AND most significantly some really pleasant, helpful people working under some difficult circumstances. Losing this store and the goodwill of the staff will be a tragedy for Carlisle . 🫣

Stay was made by the amazing manager on duty. I think his name was Karl. 10/10 member of staff

Lovely staff and customers are very sociable too which make this cafe a friendly place to visit after a walk around to boat lake with ye dog definitely worth a visit

The best Chinese in Carlisle without a doubt, been using this Chinese for over 20 years and its always been good.

Good food, nice atmosphere, fun quiz. Good location near the train station with a handy train times screen inside near the front door. Really small toilet cubicles on the gents though

Was in Carlisle for the weekend went into the Caledonian with my husband to watch rangers n celtic play and we were personally verbally abused by celtic supportas we had to leave in the end as it was too much staff done nothing

If you need wi-fi then book elsewhere. Totally unusable. Got the Ultimate wi-fi with the Plus room and couldn't even log in. Went to reception for help (longest walk ever) and strangely it logged in there. Went back to room and nothing, said low quality and disconnected. Couldn't even use the free one, same problem. Reception can't do anything, just said sorry. Really feel for anyone staying with their work and needing to use it. Plus room was nice enough but the general feel of the hotel wasn't great, in need of some money spent I think, wouldn't stay again or recommend.

If you want a raw Pizza this is the place to go. We ordered 3x 10” pizzas and all were burnt slightly on the bottom but in a twist of fate they were also raw, chewy and generally tasteless. The 1 star was for the chips but hey how hard are they to cook? Avoid at all costs.
