This hotel has always had a really nice atmosphere over the many times I've stayed here. Yes some things in the rooms might look a little bit older but they're very comfortable and the service and staff members have always been great. Not to mention the location is so beautiful, allowing for a really scenic walk to the woods, park, and town.

I booked a room. They told me I didn’t have one. I was with a group booking of 50 people. I’d spent £100 in the bar. So. I was upset…right? Manager instead of trying to help me. Calls the cops! 👍🏻 I would highly recommend to all on Gods green earth. Sleep in a box on the street if you’re struggling to find any hotel….apart from this dump! 👌🏻

Clean, tidy with friendly service 👌. I use the same hotel for work and nothing is to much trouble. Tracey is a star 🌟. Thank you 👍

Lovely warm welcome on arrival from Tracey. Booked us a table in the adjourning restaurant. Explained that it was very busy and popular. Room was clean and comfortable although needs a lick of paint. Quiet location. Food next door was lovely

Rooms are little tired but the staff are affable and helpful. Beds are comfy , you get a good night's sleep as there is not much noise transfer from other rooms or corridors. The attached Gosling Bridge Inn does a really good breakfast and very reasonably priced evening meals. A good location to explore or work in Carlisle.

It's an old building..out dated. The worst Premier inn I've stayed at and I've stayed at a few. It's a great let down for Premier. They should shut it down and renovate, rather than give themselves a bad reputation

Dirty mouldy rooms. Everything is tired and broken. Adjoining pub had karaoke until late that night. Poor nights sleep because people kept slamming doors

I don’t really think it deserves 1 star but you don’t have a choice of no stars. The WiFi didn’t work properly, the staff were non existent, and wanted to charge us £10 to check in early when we had arranged it. The restaurant was awful, my husband ordered a steak which was as tough as Ghandi’s flip flop, how a chef or cook could send that out to a customer is just awful, the look of it was disgusting. I had chicken that was so dry I couldn’t swallow it. The boy serving us was running about and actually achieving nothing. Worst hotel ever and we actually paid premium. Oh and no rice either, if you look back on reviews from a month ago no WiFi and no rice, guess they need to pay the WiFi bill and send someone shopping. Would never stay at this premier inn again.

On arrival the rooms were out dated ripped carpet, low on wall sockets paid for breakfast and only told next morning no breakfast which they'd of known prior to booking having a 2 year old and a 8 year old with us being told by reception staff that breakfast is off and you will just get a refund and being told to go to mc donalds isn't acceptable! Also towels down the stairs isn't right either!

Worst premier inn I've ever stayed at. The room 123 was up a vile stairs case and absolutely stank. Used a tin of deoderant to make it smell nicer. Corridors are filthy. Dark and dingy. Room was ran down, bathroom had mould in it. Not nice at all and I would avoid.

The lady on reception Tracy was very Friendly and welcoming. We had problems with our heating and she helped to sort it. She booked us a table next door and ordered us a taxi. Nothing was too much for her. She was on all weekend. Room was clean and comfortable. The service in the restaurant was a little slow . Would definitely return. Just a lick of paint to brighten up a little.

Another good stay at this Premier Inn. Possibly one of the older hotels but room & bathroom both serviceable, bed very comfy. Good meal in the pub next door.

+'s and -'s. Hallway was smelly and dark. I had to ask for an iron. Internet was very slow unless you paid extra, then it was ok. Rooms aren't cleaned unless you ask. The attached restaurant is not nice. Rooms are clean, but could use an update. Service was very good. Front desk was knowledgeable, helpful, and interested in making sure I was taken care of. Not much nearby. Morrisons is a short walk, which is nice.

Receptionist very warm and friendly on arrival. Tracey i think her name. Very helpful and advising us to book a table next door at the adjourning pub. Gave us more towels for room as not enough. Room spacious and clean. Good location and supermarkets in walking distance.Staff next door friendly and good service

Stayed the night over the weekend. I must say the lady on reception was most welcoming and went above and beyond for myself and my family ensuring an easy check in helping to find somewhere to eat extra towels and booking us a taxi to the city center. Absolute credit to the Premier inn. Room was clean and comfortable and the location good

The Hotel is dated. This is one of the cheapest premier inn, in the area normally. Breakfasts are from 7am. The beds are as comfortable as always, the restaurant I'm lead to believe is good, I didn't try it. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are tired, no air-conditioning, but I knew that at the time of booking. Watch out if your room is +120 that is probably up the steepest stairs, I found it clumsy Checking in and out as the stair case is pretty steep. Would I stay again ? Yes.

All the staff members we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. The corridors and rooms are certainly below the standard we have come to expect from a Premier Inn however for £35 a night can't really complain. Seems to cater for workers during the week as a lot of vans parked in carpark. The bed was as expected very comfy and shower was excellent. Slept very well. The most disappointing thing was the breakfast, hot food cooked to order so we anticipated something great, sadly the scrambled egg was like rubber, the sausage over cooked, the black pudding disgusting and the bacon dripping in fat. If staying here again I would head to McDonalds for breakfast.

Building needs a total refit if my room was anything to go, never seen such a run down PI shame as staff were very helpful. I could share photos but I won’t as it’s not the staffs fault but the management for not refurbing this hotel. In future I will check as if they have one like this no doubt there’s others and if it had not been an emergency family issue I would of walked straight out again.

Just had a 2 night stay here and 1 of the best premier inns we have stayed in. Welcomed by very friendly staff in reception got to room we had 112 and it was a lovely spacious room so clean and bathroom was spotless with view over the car park even though facing main road and pub next door it was very quiet just what was needed for a wkend away. We had the breakfast lovely choice of continental and full English all staff friendly including the landlady. We did go to eat in there on the 1st night but it does get booked up very quickly so we went to the Toby down the road but we booked for the following night and we couldn't fault the food or the service. If we ever come back this way we will definitely chose this place to stay again and would recommend to family and friends

There was a squeaky sound from the piping in the building all night, so sleeping was tough for me with my tinnitus but other than that it was great. I'll just bring ear plugs next time.

I can’t fault the staff or the atmosphere but the meal was disappointing. For a carvery it was very disappointing to have such little veg on offer. No carrots, no sprouts, no parsnips. Just lots of potatoes, Mac n cheese and peas. Apparently down to supplier issues but this wasn’t explained before we’d ordered or been seated. The Yorkshire pudding also tasted very much of lard or burnt oil. Overall a disappointing meal. The meat was great but the lack of veg was not good. I visit a lot of Toby carvery’s on tour, this was one of the worst

D'you know what....bloody shame! I visited during their closing down sale, soooo, some good bargains, good stock selection AND most significantly some really pleasant, helpful people working under some difficult circumstances. Losing this store and the goodwill of the staff will be a tragedy for Carlisle . 🫣
