Our first visit to the Hamers arm and the meal was excellent. Starters of chicken tikka skewers, feta cheese, black pudding croquettes & salt & pepper chicken all fantastic. Main courses cheese & onion pie, fish & chips & peri peri chicken, our plates were empty. Quality ingredients very well cooked, nicely presented and served by friendly staff, what more could you ask for, oh and good value for money. We have already booked for Sunday !! Give this new dining venue a try, you won’t be disappointed, we’ll done to all Involved.

We went for lunch and I spotted the good value breakfast which many of the customers were eating but I decided to go off the specials . Unfortunately cheese flan had sold out . I selected chicken and bacon pie with chips , delicious but I would say to ask about putting gravy on the chips . Only reason the chips were all fresh homemade and I missed that taste . Lovely selection of cakes too . Flapjack . Rocky road . I think this is perfect for walkers , bikers . After a big uphill climb what a perfect spot

We went for a special occasion to discover a set limited menu. It’s understandable during busy times, but it wasn’t anything special. While the staff are friendly, the service is slow, and it didn’t seem as busy as it was towards the end of our dining experience. We had to ask twice for a coffee, a teaspoon and the bill. The bill took 15 minutes to arrive, and there were extra items we hadn’t ordered. Also, the deposit we paid wasn’t the right one initially. Anyway, it seems like this place has some processes to sort out.

The food was really good, would go back. Service was slow, but it was busy and there were only two people serving and making drinks - so fair play to them two! They do have lots of gluten free options. Overall, we were there for two hours whilst we had a bottle of wine and a main meal.

Amazing food and the staff were also amazing. Been here a few times now and every time it is brilliant. Thank you so much to all the staff

Just come back from the best Christmas lunch ever at Oscar’s restaurant! The food was 5 star, the service was great and the place looked beautiful! Thank you so much ! I will be repeating g the experience next year !

We've been in for lunch on a Sunday about 3 times in the last month. Each time we had a warm welcome and a great table in the Snug area. One time our little dog was with us and this wasn't an issue. The food was delivered quickly each time, everyone was happy with their food. All delicious! The Caramel Apple Pie is the best! We had a lovely Mothers Day lunch too. Great decor and atmosphere, we never felt rushed. Will definitely be back, this is a great spot and a great halfway point if you are doing the Bottoms Hall walk.
