Great staff and friendly hands on owner, good menu and selection of cakes etc. Tuna club sandwich is a must.

I had soup, which was hot and tasty, my friend had a vegetarian dish, which she enjoyed as well

The speciality teas are 5 🌟 I enjoy having a cuppa and some breakfast. It's a very welcoming and friendly place. It has a chilled, relaxed vibe . Thank you, ladies 😊

Well where do I begin! I saw the welcoming outside seating area that was dog friendly, as there was dog water bowls on the floor. There was a sign on the door saying no dogs allowed inside. I went inside the door made myself known by saying I am just taking a menu I am outside with my dog and cannot come in thanks. I was happy to sit outside, I sat there in view of staff members who choose not to approach me for my order. Losing the will to live and getting hungry I phoned the number stating I was sat outside and wanted to place an order. A lady with glasses approached me very abruptly stating that they do not come outside for orders. I was on my own with my dog who was not allowed inside, so what was I to do? I felt the need to apologise for wanting to spend my money there. Her customer service skills were appalling to say the least. There was no ordering solution to my predicament, eg APP or QR code. The 'robot' again abruptly started "we do not take orders outside"! To which my dog and I turned on our tail and left I will NEVER return, I have a voice and will not recommend anyone to this establishment. Avoid Avoid Avoid thank you for reading

Nice place to stop on a bike ride for a brew and flapjack. Lovely staff that weren't upset about us being muddy and using the outside seating!

seems a lovely place, always busy... Outside decor needs something doing asap... Lets it down alot. The outside is now transformed, looks amazing.

We regularly visit The Hub due to the nice food and the friendly staff. My teenage daughter also likes it which is a bonus.

The Hub is a fabulous place for food and drink, great varied menu which we have no hesitation in recommending

I visited the hub this week with friends following a baby class. Some of my friends had previously visited and had told us about a poor experience with a member of staff who made them feel unwelcome and an inconvenience due to bringing their prams inside. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to us on entrance. We were immediately made to feel unwelcome by one particular member of staff who seemed alarmed that we had 3 prams and stated multiple times that it's not an ideal place for prams. She also asked if my pram could be left outside which I politely declined as the area is not covered and rain was due soon. It would have also meant me having to constantly keep my eye on the pram outside. It's important to say that there were several spare tables free inside, we were seated in the corner as you enter and there was enough space for the 3 prams, 3 adults, 3 babies and a high chair at the table as well. The member of staff came across very flustered in trying to 'fit us in with all the prams' which led my friend to suggest we get a take away instead. We decided to stay but sadly will not be returning based on this experience. Whilst the coffee and cakes were nice, our visit was completely dampened by how we were treated. Having worked in cafes myself, I know how important customer service is. There are daily baby classes happening just up the road so the hub is a prime spot for mums to grab a coffee or lunch after class. Yes prams take up space but they can also be collapased or pushed next to one and other quite easily. Or if space is genuinely a concern for you, you could have a friendly and polite conversation about this. I'd suggest you review how this member of staff speaks to mums or you may continue to lose customers.

Visited fro the first time today and can say its a lovely cafe. Reasonable prices and coffee.

A lovely little tea room at the end of the Kirklees Trail. They have a great selection of hot and cold food and a cabinet full of delicious looking cakes and other desserts. We both went for the specials that were available on the day and were not disappointed. The corned beef hash was excellent as were the poached eggs - the first runny poached egg I've found from cafes in the Bury area! 👏 Will definitely return and highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Been coming here for 6 months and has always been good,decided today to bring my friend and her 2 granddaughters along with myself and my granddaughter so 5 of us altogether. Booked a table by phone which hadn't been reserved, luckily there was one available, ordered our food,which was brought at different times,children had finished before adults got there meals,had to wait for 10minutes for one set of cutlery in the end a customer in the queue passed some over.Ordered sweets for everyone adults got theirs and the children's followed 30 minutes later! Although the lady apologised we were really disappointed by the experience after spending £65. Thank-you to the owner for your reply was much appreciated, but we never acknowledged to your staff about how busy you were?? .The main points were, we booked a table that hadnt been reserved, meals were brought out at different times with no cutlery, 2 sweets were served and 30 minute wait for the other 3, just very disappointing really.

Lovely little cafe with good cake and coffee! Friendly service and perfect location for a quick snack Star cycling down the cycle route along the Kirklees Trail. There is outside seating, a small number of bike stands outside and water for dogs.

A perfect position after a long walk for Coffee and Cake. Excellent location with a few tables outside to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Plenty of choice to eat and drink from hot warming chowder to the usual breakfast options and great Scones & Cakes.

We were a party of 4 plus a baby. We arrived at Friday lunchtime and were fortunate to find an available table, as it was quite full. The cafe is fairly small but since there were quite a lot of people inside, this created a good atmosphere. We were offered a high chair for the baby soon after we sat down. Food was overall very good. 2 of us had eggs benedict, which was excellent, just the right size. The other 2 had full English breakfast, which looked great. However one slight complaint was one of them said afterwards it was not hot. This was not brought to the attention of the staff and the member of our party did eat it all. We all enjoyed the selection of cakes for dessert. Overall, we'll definitely go again and would recommend others to do so too.

Cracking little café, good food and the staff are friendly and helpful, with a great variety of different items for sale. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Ok was asked to wait outside for my order of 2 take away coffees but they forgot, I had to go back in to ask about my order. Young lad was apologetic but a lady made me feel I had wronged her in some way.

Had lunch at the Hub with my future daughter-in-law. I had travelled from Burton on Trent to see her in her wedding dress final fitting. The lunch here was delicious as was the cappuccino it made the day for us. Lovely friendly staff and very clean. Wish we could come again but 90 miles is a bit far!

Recently popped in for a coffee and scone. Sadly the person behind the counter was coughing and spluttering but still handlng food without any hand washing.

Nice little cafe serving excellent food. Good choice of food, friendly staff. Chicken Tikka served on a Naan, Lentil Dahl, both very tasty. Lemon Merangue Pie had just the right amount of Lemon bite with a good depth of Merangue. We will be back, hopefully there might be some Chowder left.

Great local cafe. Coffee is nice with drinks through milk being better than the straight espresso/long blacks. The food however is superb and the start of the show. Our party had a toastie, fish finger butty and hash and all were excellent. Service is prompt and cake selection alway good.

Very nice quaint and busy tea room. I really enjoyed my food. I got a black bean taco. So fresh and really tasty. Friendly staff lots of choice..decor could be a little more elaborate for a tea room.

We stopped for lunch during a 6-hour walk, and it was a perfect choice. Clean and very friendly. Airy and spacious. Toasted club sandwiches were great. My eggs benedict hit the spot. Lovely coffee and selection of tea brews. We will definitely return.

Nice menu, nice food my one problem is the service, I wouldn't say that they were that busy, but we did have to wait some time for a server and then we were never asked if we would like a cake, which I did, or how the food was. Could do better!

Always popped in here when we can on weekends for the lovely breakfasts, but since having my baby boy I am spending more & more of my time on maternity leave popping in here (or sitting outside) to catch up with friends. 👆 Lovely breakfasts, lunches, cakes and drinks and great service! Even had the afternoon tea a couple of weeks ago too for my birthday, and it was a special treat. 😋👌 I grew up in Greenmount, so always find myself reminiscing when I visit, as this used to be the old newsagents where I would be sent down the lines to pay for my parents papers (and spend my pocket money on sweets !) But all grown up now & love walking a loop from Summerseat to stop by here with my baby boy for delicious and drinks in a cozy & welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended 👌

Nice place, nice bustle to it. They do veggie and some vegan things including soy milk, though they don't advertise this on the web. Food is good and plenty of choice. Nice place to get to from the Lines.

Absolutely brilliant! First time we ever popped in, was before lockdown or Covid - we were with with three soggy children and bikes. The Hub was welcoming, very warm, comfortable, modern, clean, and friendly. The menu was spot on, great options, good food, well cooked and put together. We're regulars now, going for lunch time toasties and hot coffees or hot chocolates on a long walk and a welcome break from homeschooling and home working.

Being one of the only local cafes open 7 days a week for takeaway through the tough restrictions imposed on our area through covid 19 this cafe deserves much praise. I can’t wait until we can come in and sit down after a walk. The hot chocolate orange is lovely and the Christmas Vienna served warm is lovely too. Hopefully people will remember all they have done to serve the community throughout and will continue to visit in better times.

Fab little cafe, lovely inside but we took advantage of the outdoor seating area with plenty of space for the bikes. Well placed at start of off road family friendly bike trail.

Love this little cafe. They serve great coffee and the cakes are to die for, especially the scones with jam and clotted cream. Its in a great position for a refreshing coffee at the top of the walk from Burrs in Bury before you set off back down the hill. A bit of a sun trap in the afternoon if you catch a good day.

Visited here today after a long walk up the lines, what a nice cafe. Very clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and friendly. All we ate was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I must recommend the eggs florentine, it was bloody lovely, hubby had food envy. I would recommend this cafe and will defo be returning!!

Walked up the lines from Elton to Greenmount, refueled at the Hub and walked back. Perfect afternoon out with the kids and something we'll definitely do again! Yummy milkshakes, tasty sandwiches and my son gave high praise to his jacket spud. Was busy when we visited but no noticeable delay with food and staff lovely and friendly :D Would definitely recommend a visit.
