Always fantastic and the staff are warm and welcoming and look after customers very well. Didn't eat on this occasion but have in the past. Varied and unusual menu

Great place to eat and reasonably priced

We went here yesterday for the first time. What an excellent decision! The manager has everything running like clockwork, including what appeared to be training a new member of staff. We watched the interaction of the waiting staff with other customers whilst we waited for our food. Though they were very busy, they were consistently smiling at customers and he'd excellent interaction with children and a young girl with additional needs, even finding time to fasten her coat. Then came the food. Wow! We had seen lovely looking dishes brought out for other people so were expecting something good. We were certainly not disappointed! If you like spicy food, do try the chicken breast with chorizo. It was delicious! Everything is cooked from scratch as ordered and it shows. We are not local, but will certainly be back next time we are in Bury.

Wow !!! This is the first time we have eaten here and the food was amazing 👏 I had the spanish chicken on flatbread and my husband had the moroccan lamb flatbread and all allday he raved on how much the favours were amazing . The presentation was beautiful too! The staff also was very welcoming. We will sure be back again.

Barista is one of the best eateries in Bury. 100% friendly owners, table and kitchen staff. My friend and I had one of their fresh chicken salad bowls. They were delicious and filling. The best part of the meal was being offered a random BP check by 2 friendly nurses while we dined. Both my friend and I jumped at the chance. What a brilliant initiative by the local health authority. Well done them and thank you Barista for a lovely meal in lovely surroundings.

There is a lot more competition in the immediate area with much more choice and better atmosphere

Having not been to Bury and this cafe/restaurant for some time, past experience influenced us to visit for lunch. It was not too busy and we were seated quite quickly and provided with menus with some interesting choices. Dietary requirements were checked and easily accommodated. The drinks took a little while to arrive, but the meals maintained the remembered high standard. The friendly service was excellent. Again we were not disappointed.

Very friendly staff, great service. Tried the spiced Moroccan meatballs on the specials board - this was sooo tasty. Also they didnt skimp on the meatballs This needs to be on main menu. My partners hallumi burger was also great Chips as always crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside

OMG!!! I can’t rate this place highly enough!!! Super tasty food with really authentic tapas. I had the garlic and chilli prawns with peri peri chips and was SO full afterwards. My friends had the peri peri chicken sandwich and the Texas Steak Burger and raved about the quality. Prices are so reasonable for what you get and all the staff are very very helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Arrived and was welcomed by friendly staff. Food and drink was delicious and there wasn't a long wait. Lots of car parks and parking spaces to choose from all nearby. Plenty of options on the menu. Overall, amazing experience at Barista Cafe Bar and we hope to come back again shortly.

Amazing food. The front of house staff are always very welcoming and helpful. Kitchen staff will bob up every now and then to catch your eye to wave goodbye when you get up to leave. I am a regular and I have never been disappointed, I always leave full and satisfied. I recommend this place everyone I know (and don’t know for that matter) when going to bury.

Love some of the food here but unimpressed with service today. tried the steak and mushroom sandwich as I wanted something else, supposed to be served on garlic bread, was actually served on sourdough and that much peppercorn sauce the bread was soggy. I didn’t eat, didn’t complaint either as I just decided I didn’t like it. Paid for my meal and left a tip, for the woman to give me a very dirty look because I didn’t like it, the 2 kitchen workers then stared at me and my friend whilst we gathered our things and left. Proceeded to stare as we walked away from the building. Would of took my tip back if I could. Usually very polite but that all changed when I said I didn’t like my soggy “sandwich”. Won’t be returning

Was in here Sunday. New Christmas menu Looks awesome could have ordered one of everything it all looked so good. Went for the pig and brie burger....amazing!! food is always fantastic here and the staff are all smiley and friendly. Can't recommend enough

Not been for a few months had the cheese burger as always but the burger was two small thin burgers instead of the chunky homemade ones I have come to expect the chips wear served in a small cup now and no side salad not up to the burgers usually high standard

Service was first rate. Switched on staff buzzing about. Nice location with views of the surrounding parade of shops. The actual quality of the food we had was excellent Top tip....Sausages

I ordered the fish burger said it came with lettuce n tomato...limp lettuce n no tomato was disappointed especially when paying 11 pound. My mum ordered lemon sole why is everything in batter staff were great but I don't rate the food too greasy

Great place to eat, really enjoyed the breakfast, only downside is it's really hot if you sit by the windows which were the only seats available, I would highly recommend this restaurant

We have eaten at Barista in Bury many, many times, as a couple most often but if we are meeting friends or family in the town centre this is the best place to go, be it breakfast, lunch or a snack, everything is of a very high quality and cooked to perfection, we have never been disappointed, there is a good feel of personal service and flexibility were they are able to meet personal requirements were they can. Great menu options to suit all needs and good clean and accessible environment. We visit on a weekly basis and always look forward to our visits. You will not be disappointed

Both my friend and I both had one of the specials being parmesan chicken breast with italian baked potatoes salad and a peppercorn sauce. We both enjoyed our food which as well as being freshly cooked were delicious. We always eat here when we visit Bury wouldn't eat anywhere else. Staff are really helpful and friendly

Town centre cafe / bar with personal touch from the owner. Very good selection of food. We especially enjoyed the sharing platter which was delicious.

Great place, can’t believe I haven’t visited sooner! The salads are delicious and great portions sizes - we had the Caesar salad and the chorizo, feta and sweet potato salad which were both gorgeous and very reasonably priced!

Shared a meal here with great family friend. Food gor both adults and children was excellent. Quality was only surpassed by the friendliness of the staff.

We used to love it here but sadly it seems to have gone downhill recently. It was a long wait to be served followed by an extremely long wait for food. It wasn’t particularly busy, just not very efficient service Sadly we won’t be returning. It’s a shame when so many places are closing down in the current climate.

Most bland breakfast ever, they said chilli on the poached eggs it was cayenne pepper and not a lot. The bread was like rubbish croutons

Reading some of the reviews on here, some people really are laughable. Complaining about waiting 35 mins for their food? Can’t people see that is because all food is cooked fresh to order? Seriously 😂 We called in for coffee yesterday morning at Costa was packed! We hadn’t planned to eat, but seeing the wonderful food coming out of the kitchen, and having such a warm welcoming experience on arrival- we just couldn’t resist. We were told on ordering there may be a slight delay as all food cooked to order- amazing! I don’t want my food coming out in less than 5 minutes- as that shows it’s been frozen/warmed up. Perhaps some people would be better busting McDonald’s instead? First time here, will not be the last. The food was flavoursome , well presented and just delicious! Such good value. Feta bake, small breakfast and smoked salmon eggs royale. Delicious flat whites too. Thankyou ! Keep up the amazing work 👏🏼

Truly excellent. Took the time to discuss allergens with me. Was honest and open about what I could/couldn't eat. Knowledgeable about gluten free food. I ended up picking individual breakfast items and making up a breakfast (am also vegetarian) and I was actually amazed at what was presented to me. Absolutely beautiful breakfast. Didn't expect it at all. Good portion, beautifully cooked. The food and hot drinks were just amazing. I don't know if it was the owner who I spoke to but she was so lovely, kind and helpful. I would 100% recommend and when we visit Bury we will go back. Thanks for being so accommodating and welcoming. Nice atmosphere. Friendly waiting on staff.

Went as a couple and we really enjoyed our visit. Situated right on the Rock and superb location for people watching. Great menu and selection to suit all tastes. You'd be hard pushed or really fussy not to find something. Service was great and very welcoming. Would strongly recommend and will be going again.

Great food and service. I’m surprised they don’t advertise that they sell food, especially when it’s as good as this. Being called Barista I thought it was just a coffee shop until I asked.

Always had great meals in here but this mornings breakfast was awful. The bacon was overcooked and tough like it had been cooked the day before then microwaved. Sausage was overcooked. Very disappointing. Won't be back for breakfast. Such a shame

Never had a bad meal here... called in this morning and we ordered 2 small breakfasts.... Had this before and its tasty... but today the bacon was rock hard... couldn't cut it... it was as if it had been warmed up... The rest was fine but didn't eat it sadly... Disappointed

We went to the restaurant on a Saturaday afternoon. I wouldn't say it was packed but it was busy. We were told once we ordered our meals it there would be a wait. 35 minutes later we were just at the point of saying stuff it when our food arrived. It was well worth the wait. 2 all day breakfast cooked to perfection and meatballs for my son which he enjoyed. Shame about the wait but the food was great.

Had lunch for 4 pax, and was still having coffee when we were given the bill without being asked..surely that's a sign to chase customers away

Lovely food. Service was a bit slow but it was explained that there may be a delay before we ordered. Staff sickness was the reason, but despite this, we didn't wait too long for our food.

I go here regularly with my friend. We love eating there where we spend a few hours chatting while enjoying a lovely meal. The owner and staff are really friendly. There is a great selection on the menu as well as daily specials. It is very reasonably priced as well. Its a hidden gem within the Rock Shopping centre.

Visited here for the first time yesterday on the recommendation if a friend. The food was delicious. Had patatas bravas and fishcakes. Both were gorgeous, but I have to say that the fishcakes were quite simply the best I have ever tasted! Now I know why it always looks busy-lots of returnng customers. Great service too. Cannot wait to return!

Fantastic Food and great service. Add Garlic Pepper Chips to your order they are delicious. Always go here when we go shopping in Bury. By the way ring and book a table it can be quite busy.

We were looking for somewhere new for lunch and based on the Tripadvisor reviews we booked Barista. Definitely the right choice, can’t believe I’ve never been here before! We both had the goats cheese and red pepper panini with garlic & pepper chips, both were amazing! Good value for money and a really friendly relaxing vibe, will definitely be back x

Awful service, the owner had an attitude towards her staff, staff have left due to the management and shift changes on a regular basis, would not recommend!

We have been to Barista a few times before the pandemic, so it was lovely to go back today. We were seated quickly, by a lovely lady who was really pleasant and smiley. The food was excellent, Hubby had the all day breakfast and I had the steak sandwich. The one thing that ruined our visit was the cold air coming from the overhead fan. Our food was going very cold, very quickly. I asked one of the young waitresses could she turn the fan off please. Grudgingly, it was turned down. The couple sat near us said they were really cold too. And then the fan was turned up again. So we sat there, hubby with his cap on and his hood over the cap. I had my coat on, and the lady near us also had hers on too! We paid our bill and didn't leave a tip, as our experience was ruined by being blasted with cold air.

Ordered scone with cream and jam, was given a teaspoon of cream with the thinist scone I have ever seen, I thought it was a tea cake but the waitress assured me it was a scone, on a positive they took the price of one of the scones of our order

Took my nana (who is very fussy!) for some lunch today, always wanted to try here as it's always busy so I thought it must be nice. I honestly can't believe I haven't eaten here before. The food was amazing! Lovely home cooked food, lovely...

Ordered a Latte which a young blonde lady served me. I waited around eight to ten minutes and went to the counter because I thought my order was forgotten and it was just being made and only two other customers was present who had been served. Absolutely shocking customer service skills and attitude I didn't even get an apology and the Latte was like dishwasher hardly no milk. I just had a few sips and had to leave it.

Fabulous, great food, lovely staff. Would recommend you try the sweet chilli chicken salad. Looking forward to my next visit.

Visited today with family. Ordered two breakfasts and a burger. The burger was fine as burgers go. The two breakfasts were quite possibly the worse I’ve ever eaten. My main issue was with the sausages as these were still pink and raw in the middle. The hash brown was soggy and not fully cooked. The “bury black pudding” was certainly not that, I have never had bury black pudding I have no liked, it was overpoweringly herby and made me feel sick. The beans were hot at the top of the pot and cold at the bottom & to finish it off you had mushrooms that were literally like rubber toys. The toast tasted great, the only part of the meal that did. Very disappointing.

Not the first time and definitely not the last of visiting. The food & service is excellent and coffee lovers are in for a treat. Many thanks to Vicky for doing such a wonderful job, even though she was obviously short staffed. Well recommended.

All food cooked to a very high standard. And service is excellent. Can highly recommend all day brunch. Mushroom are fantastic.
