Cup tea did not taste very good

What a hidden gem! We both had the veggie broth which was so tasty, with a WARM brown roll, then he had sardines on toast. Brilliant attention to detail, even down to the knives and spoons. Great value for money, very clean, toilets very clean and well presented. Situated in prestwich village, just a walk away from the tram stop and all the shops and bars. Thanks to Julie for your first class customer service, will definitely be back 🍲 ☕️ 👍

Absolutely love it here!!!! So beautiful inside and such friendly staff. The cream tea is excellent value and tastes absolutely amazing! I thoroughly recommend this place for some wonderful tea and a great afternoon!

Had sandwiches, scones and tea . Sandwiches were very disappointing. Scones just ok Had to wait a while for more milk etc as lady disappeared, think it was to prepare food maybe upstairs . Quaint place but rather squashed and uncomfortable. Unfortunately did not live up to the reviews read ,

Went for afternoon tea, lovely little place and a wonderful host but the food wasn't anything amazing. Needed some nice quiet music in the background too.

Really enjoyed my afternoon tea at Time for Tea. It was so quaint, the food was really nice (especially the cakes), and the tea just kept coming 😁. We had 1 vegan and 2 vegetarian assortments, I would really recommend it as a little treat.

A hidden gem . The soup genuinely home made , full of healthy goodness - pulses etc and served with a warm roll . Yellow pepper and broccoli quiche delicious , again clearly home made , lots and lots of yellow peppers and broccoli, healthy and nutritious .

I love this place. It is nothing like anywhere else you will go. Unique. The lovely lady that runs the cafe makes everything herself! We have been twice now, having moved to Prestwich very recently. On the first visit I had tea and crumpets. The crumpets were divine! Thick, chewy on the outside and soft in the middle, and oozing with butter. 😛😋 Second time I had tea, with bubble and squeak with cheese and beans. This was classic. Two large burger size disks of bubble and squeak with a generous topping of melted cheddar cheese, baked beans around the side, HP sauce condiment (what else...). 😛😋 There's plenty of choice for veggie and vegan, plenty of sweet goodies too, all made by Her Majesty.

Cute little tearoom, all homemade food, free and easy parking right outside on a Sunday. We were served by a lovely lady, and we had a really nice chat. The Bubble and Squeak was delicious. We would visit again.

Brilliant little traditional cafe, really enjoyed the coffee but the stand out offerings were the scones (all great but the date and walnut is the best) the choice of jams was also excellent, run by a lovely lady, couldn't ask for more. Will be returning

Attended as part of a group of people. Really excellent food and very attentive service. The proprietor never stops in her thirst for making people's visits great. First class first visit and won't be my last, hopefully.

I nipped into Time for Tea recently as I wanted a fairly light lunch to keep me going until evening. I ended up wishing I could have eaten more! The cafe itself is what a proper tearoom should be: lots of comfy chairs, quirky little ornaments and a giant inflatable gingerbread man greeting visitors by the door. How can anyone resist?! The menu is pretty extensive and I had a nicely made sardines and cheese on toast, followed by a homemade warm ginger scone. Am I going back? - Try and stop me!

Go in. Order something delicious and talk to Julie (or don't). The cafe is nearly as lovely as she is. Will stop looking in as I walk by like I usually do and pop in - especially for the poetry sharing every other Thursday from 2pm x

Time for Tea is a unique little tearoom with home cooked food and a great owner who makes everyone feel right at home. Delicious food and a very good menu. Thanks, Julie, for making this such a special place, love your home cooking and the whole atmosphere is warm and cosy.

Second time coming here. The woman who runs it is lovely. A nice old fashioned cafe where youll get fed good hearty food. Any irish lads working local this is where youll fed fed a proper meal. She does broths and stew type food.

Arrived at 9am and it was closed. Came back lunchtime and they said too early for Tea. Only serving tea after 4pm so we had to go to KFC. Should be open all day and why do they not serve Coffee ?? Rename it "Time for Food" Still good value if you like a cup of tea at only 10p a mug but sugar and milk is extra at £2.00

Three of us had a lovely afternoon tea, very reasonably priced. Lovely welcome and bottomless tea pot. What's not to like? I'll definitely return.

I highly recommend Julie's broth. It is a main meal. I enjoy the no added sugar scone. Poetry share group on alternate Thursday afternoons is highly beneficial for all who attend.

Julie is incredible. We came all the way from Texas and my husband said this is the BEST ham and cheese toastir he's ever had. Super welcoming and cozy place. We will definitely be back!

I love going in time for tea. Julie is so welcoming. I love the broth and her bubble and squeak is sooooo yummy . It's a nice place just to chill out and relax . Lots of books to read. I go as often as I can. Best tea room's on the village 👍.

Lovely host, Julie, so bubbly and welcoming! She is the heart and soul of Time For a Tea. Discovered this venue when walking past a few weeks ago, whenever I'm in the area I now make sure to visit and have some of Julie's nourishing broth. 😊

Seeking respite after a bracing walk in the snow this morning, we were greeted at the Tea Room with a warm welcome from the proprietress, Julie. We were restored by delicious hearty home-made vegetable broth, enjoyed in the tea room's pretty surroundings, with enchanting details, from the traditional china crockery to the napkins folded into Lotus flowers! Thank you Julie - we will definitely return soon.

Went with my family for afternoon tea, lovely fresh homemade cakes, scones etc. The crockery was gorgeous, and service was great, very friendly.

I don't want to leave an overtly negative review but the staff and the cafe need to reflect deeply and then get back.

The atmosphere is very homely and friendly, the service is excellent and all of the food is home made and clearly prepared with attention and pride. I definitely recommend the scones with clotted cream and a latte and we will be back for more soon. And despite being central to Prestwich, it is nice to see the prices are more than reasonable.

Time for tea is crusty. It's time for a deep clean. If this tea shop is to thrive it should keep the British Tea Shoppe vibe, but it needs a thorough clean, and that includes the spoons, sugar jars, floor and crockery. Also please lose the hair bobbles around the tea pots as they may stop drips, but they give me the thought it's just come off someone's head.

Having been a regular diner at this cosy local Tea Room, I knew I was in for a treat when booking it for a friends baby shower. Julie was very flexible with numbers and seating arrangements, allowing us to set up and decorate for the occasion. She provided us with a great afternoon tea that was very reasonably priced. She can also cater for a variety dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten free, pregnancy friendly to name a few. All the food is deliciously homemade, giving it that personal touch. Everyone who came had a wonderful time. I would recommend to anyone wanting to hire it for a private party.

Homemade broth is a must even in the summer. Afternoon tea is delicious with homemade jams and chutneys. Omlettes, choice of fillings and salad made with fry light. Suited my dietary needs superbly. Much much more on the menu to suit all. BIG pots of tea with hot water to fill up for extra cuppa's. Very vintage decor, table cloths, crockery and cutlery, just what I like in a tea room. Books to read pictures to look at. Very friendly, very welcoming, very smiley and hard working owner Julie makes it even more enjoyable to visit. You have us hooked. See you Friday for our lunch x

Quaint little tea room that has been serving Prestwich well for years. If you want somewhere a bit more civilised than your Costa or Starbucks - this is the place to go for a cup of tea and a nice slice of cake.

Stopped here for a light bite after a local walk around Philip Park. We had a tea, latte coffee and shared a Welsh Rarebit - delicious and good value. Our friends attacked the cake selection and the carrot and ginger cake was particularly appreciated.

I just love this tea room,I discovered a while back. I feel hugged on entering the room by the owner and others who are in the room, which is relaxing and cosy. Reading materials are varied with a spiritual edge. It's been a "space to breathe" a getaway place away from daily noise and bustle. Friendships have developed, with a listening ear, if you need it.

This is my favourite tea shop. Everything on offer is home made which is very important to me. There is always something interesting to read and I'm always sure of a friendly welcome. Nothing pre-wrapped or plastic here!!!

Visited here with family and really enjoyed the old fashioned unusual surroundings. The homemade food and cakes was served with a friendly smile and as an added bonus they have old fashioned sweets. Would defo come here again.

I have been to Julie's tea room on many occasions and tryed just about every iitem on her menu ,smashing. Food that Julie has made .nice clean environment.
