Excellent…very tasty steaks, cooked to perfection with lovely sides! Service was good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

We decided to come here after seeing an offer online after Christmas . I had the mushrooms to start and these were absolutely amazing . Generous portion size and for mains I had the rump steak . I like how you choose the wedge dressing and side . Service good especially with my peanut allergy . I have been another time before and was slightly disappointed in July time as the steak was fatty but that might have been a one off as this time was fab !

Pheobe was such a polite and attentive server, checking up on us and really quick service. The food was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

First time here food was excellent served by the excellent Amelia . Starter was mushrooms in cream sauce one criticism would be more cheese and baked proper as it was a bit devoid of cheese . Mains perfect boy can they cook a steak Summing up I’ll be back great place great food and service Second visit 28/11/24 not as good I’m afraid waiter walked past as we waited at reception ignored us then started to clear tables and reset them with our group still stood waiting ! Poor start, place was very cold not really inviting to eat food when cold . Drinks ordered appeared short measures given again poor start . Food was good but expensive . Had to go find staff to pay not very attentive on paying request for tip on machine which I declined . Dropped a few stars on service and atmosphere . Shame really bit of heating and better service would have been full star rating Third and final visit 24/3/25 My mistake went in a steak house ordered everything but a steak. Place was cold slow service and food terrible best bit were the drinks and lettuce and Stilton ! Everything overcooked and tasteless the three sides for £13 absolutely nuked to death and brought to table very late half way through eating mains £80 thrown away won’t ever go again truly bad . I’m being very kind 2 stars check the pictures so called cod loin dry tasteless and full rack of ribs simply nuked to death and bbq sauce smeared on it . Fries overcooked simply awful apart from lettuce piece Stilton tasty. Apparently that insipid item on top of the cod is supposed to be bacon ! Update following morning one of party has an upset stomach up all night with stomach cramps ! Something has drastically changed and you can actually hear the so called chef moaning and complaining behind the screens. Manageress quite nice as was the barman bringing our drinks but a cold grubby place with poor food . Will definitely not be back sad as the one in Lydiate Merseyside is amazing As they say a picture paints a thousand words first pictures from first later ones from second and final ones from last visit . Now an excuse they are busy sometimes is acceptable but three small tables in the place .. just look at the grey gelatinous gloop on the fish the whole dish looks as though it’s been scraped out of a bin not just prepared by a chef ! Inexcusable I should have complained but I find that has little effect . AWFUL TRULY AWFUL AVOID those who think the food is great are delusional and don’t eat out a lot , I do and this is pure slop expensive £80 slop !

Kayleigh the waitress was amazing, very attentive and polite.

We had a pleasant visit, but our main course took almost an hour to arrive. While we didn’t mind the wait since it was the weekend, as a family dining together, we would have appreciated being informed in advance or given an update on when to expect our food. Additionally, table service was minimal—we had to go to the bar ourselves for drinks after waiting 10 minutes with empty glasses. Since we were dining with children, it would have been helpful if the table had been wiped down after the main course, but this was overlooked, so we ended up doing it ourselves. Given the high prices, we expected a much higher level of service. A little more attentiveness would have made the experience significantly better. That said, we do appreciate how hard the staff work, especially during busy periods, and we thank them for their efforts.

Brilliant Friday night meal. Quick and attentive service from Louise and the rest of the team tonight. My wife and I didn’t feel hurried or rushed into making a decision about our meal and other than the occasional polite check if we needed anything were left to enjoy our time together. Highly recommend this place for a meal. We are frequent visitors and will be back again. Thanks!

Visited here on March 5th, first time, meeting friends there, who said there was a car park. Enjoyed the food, service was good but alas, today received a £60 car park fine, I didn't realise that you had to put your Reg No. into a machine when entering the premises, I wasn't asked to, my friends were when they entered but they were dropped off so didn't use the car park. Nice but expensive lunch!!

Everything about the place was really nice, all the saff were very helpful and we all had wonderful time.

we went here the other week for a treat after just having a baby as my sister had been previously and had nothing but positive things to say. Unfortunately my experience was nothing alike. The staff were rude and we waited to be seated for a booked table for 10 mins as 2 staff members stood looking at us chatting seemingly ignoring us. Went to the bar and was met with the same treatment so only got a drink when our server approached after about 30 mins. There was a table of roudy boys throwing things and shouting and nothing was said yet it seemed as though WE was treat like crap. not ideal considering we spent over £150 on food 🤣 left feeling insecure and ill be sure not not recommend to anybody. We ordered both burgers and steaks and was nice but not worth the agro of customer service, especially for the prices!

A bit dissatisfied, I feel it is overpriced. I had the steak which was cold in places general fries and a cold tomato which was close to £30. My husband had the cod looked lovely but again nothing to shout about. Our waitress was lovely, it was very busy however service was good.

Food was amazing and supplemented by the fab service by Kayleigh! She made the evening even better….

Beautiful restaurant, me and my girlfriend got the butchers block and I was blown away, every steak was cooked exactly as we asked and the rest of the food was amazing. The service was great and very friendly from phoebi. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

The Sunday lunch sharing board was delicious.. Will definitely be back. The meats were cooked perfectly chicken steak and lamb. Would have preferred a few more potatoes instead of having 2 portions of the vegetable maybe give 2 portions of the roast potatoes (only as I don't like veg). The steaks which the other guests i was with looked amazing and cooked to perfection. Waiting time for food was a little slow but once it arrived it made up for it.

Awesome place that serves decent , mouthwatering food that is full of flavour !Miller & Carter has been on our go to list for quite some time now and I am glad , that we finally visited ! Meals were amazing and tasty, the waiting time however was shocking , it took 10 to 15 minutes to even get the drinks , then over an hour for food . I appreciate , that it was a busy sunday afternoon, but still ... anyway , meals were worth the wait . Well, meals that got to our table as one dish was missing . I thought it was still in the making , but it was nowhere to be seen as we almost finished our mains . I mentioned the matter to the waitress who apologised , brought the lobster tail to the table and advised that in light of the delay , it will be taken off the bill. Overall , we were very happy with the atmosphere , quality of food and the aesthetics ! Would give a 5 out of 5, if it wasn't for the waiting time . :)

Mixed reviews for this place staff was fine warm cosy atmosphere,steak was cooked to perfection too. Downsides overpriced and cheeky vat on top of your bill. Cheese starter with beetroot was and pesto sauce was a little bland ,think a nice purée of some kind would have worked well. Dessert sticky toffee pudding was ok but the date crumble didn’t go with it. Maybe that needs a rethink yes crumble but not date

Now I'm no Karen, but as someone who has worked in hospitality before, I can truly say I was disappointed with my experience here. We wanted the Valentine's Day set menu to which we were informed there were no desserts left (that we wanted). Which is fine, however, after 40 minutes from ordering and eating our starters, we were informed that they didn't have our mains. Poor communication from kitchen to front of house. We alternatively ordered the steak and cod fillet. The cod was really oily and just didn't taste nice. The steak was okay however it would've been nice if it was basted with butter and garlic whilst cooking. Considering this was a Valentine's Dinner and how expensive it was, this certainly wasn't worth the price. No fault on front of house, in fact, they were lovely and gave us a check in. Not wanting to cause a scene, we didn't mention it.

Not a bad place but deffo seems like it needs a bit of a revamp. Looking old and dusty both inside and out. Staff are friendly enough. Food is alright but not exactly knocks your socks off. I've had better steak from smaller chained restaurants. Pricey for what you get too, drinks also.

Had a fantastic valentines lunch on the 8th Feb. The food was fantastic. Steaks cooked to perfection. The onion loaf is great. Not to sure on the lettuce wedge was first time having one of them.

Second time going to this miller and carter this time with family food was excellent I got the beef burger. We were served by Millie W, she was professional quick and lovely always making sure we were happy. My brother had the ribs and highly recommends them, we were too full for desert. Only negative would be that one of the doors after the front doors is broken so only half of it is there which ruins the atmosphere as you walk in, but couldn’t fault the food or service from Millie W at all. Highly recommend.

Jumping Jack Flash! Talk about turnips! Turnips? Not on your nelly, get in my belly! A lipsmacking Black Angus Sirloin steak was quick to the point to the point no faking! And that desert was cooler than vanilla ice ice baby!
