The best restaurants in Sudell Blackburn with Darwen North West

First time visit here after meaning to try it out. We went for a soup and chilli 'pasty' each with a coffee. The soup was thick, dahl style and nice tasting. Chilli pasty could have upped the flavours and spice, a little bland. I'd also name it a calzone as it was like thin pizza dough than pastry. The coffee was superb, easily the best in darwen. Certainly recommended from me.

We actually travel from the Isle of Man to Ollys Kitchen to eat the best cooked breakfast anywhere on the planet. The staff are super efficient and very friendly. You can sit in or take away and the food is excellent. Whilst we were there they were constantly providing breakfasts, sandwiches and hot meals for a large amount of customers, providing a personal service for each person. You won't get better service anywhere

Me and my partner went for the first time yesterday and as soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by David who we now know runs the restaurant with his wife and a team great staff. The food was delicious and freshly made. It was relaxing and spotless and anyone who likes good home cooking at a reasonable price won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back. Darwen's best kept secret.

Love coming here and sitting out in the sun. Great location! Love the rhubarb cider and tried the cherry beer this week and that was lush too, definitely felt it being 8%. Thankyou for our visits.

Great service and friendly staff food was awesome

Looked on website what time was open till on Thursday said till 12 so decided to go for a drink have never been the time was approximately 10pm when we turn up was closed looked on opening times outside also said till 12 if not open till 12 then amend opening times

To put this in some context as to how good this place is, several times a year i drag my family up from the south coast of England, and place them under duress watching football at ewood park, there is probably a number of rules i break making them endure this type of torture, BUT the reason they put up with it is because after the match we come here. Always a friendly welcome, the food is delicious, its not stodgy, nasty frozen chicken chunks thrown in a sauce, its seriously good food and despite eating here several times a year, sometimes with local friends we have never had a bad experience and everyone has good things to say about.

Brilliant food and service every single time for take away and sitting in! I’m mega picky and they are so accommodating 💜 they fresh make me curries without onions, happy to add extras at no extra cost to us. Best Indian in darwen in every way xx

It shames me to admit I have lived five minutes away from Black Olive for a year and only recently visited for breakfast for the first time. It's been a few days and I returned for a breakfast muffin and told the lovely staff it was better than Maccie's - because, truth be told, it absolutely is (and I love a McMuffin). All in all, both visits I have been incredibly pleased with the service and the food, and will be a more regular customer.

Used this venue for the first time with family members for a birthday celebration. The ordering process online was easy, being able to choose a time was convenient and when I went to collect the food I was warmly greeted and the food ready. This was quite a large order and everyone was happy with their food and would definitely recommend and use again. The only suggestion I would make to the online ordering system is to introduce functionality to advise delivery charges (based on post code) so an informed decision whether to deliver or collect can be made before going through the order process.

I’m not a believer of giving bad reviews but have no choice on this occasion. Take away, worst ever, kebab not cooked, bread undercooked. Tried to call and explain but some how they couldn’t understand even thou they could to take the order. Last time!

Brilliant as always, tad spicier than normal but still great

I recently visited this restaurant due to it being recommended to me whilst in the area. What a big mistake. The food was absolutely disgusting. I am beyond shocked at how bad the food was.
