The best restaurants in Allerdale North West

Fish was cooked fresh, batter was lovely and crispy, couldn't fault it! We ate in, the tables were clean and it was nice to get in out of the elements. The free to play retro arcade machine at the back of the shop was pretty cool!

Stopped on the hotel, very dog friendly, friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable, food is good, beer is good, location is awesome and so are the grounds / beer garden etc.

We visited again for the Gluten Free fish and chips x 2. Everything was prepared freshly whilst we waited and was quite simply superb. Great fish and excellent chips. Highly recommended. We will of course return here quite soon.

This place is always busy when it's open, the service is good and if you can phone your order through first there isn't a long wait inside to collect it, the food although still excellent in taste is not quite as good as it used to be but that wouldn't stop me using it it's still delicious.

Excellent. Our favourite place now. Had a full English breakfast. Will definitely be coming again on our next visit to the Lakes.

Often call here but the service is becoming dreadful. Several of the staff dont seem to know the words please and thank you. Very little interaction with customers and not a welcoming place to be. Need to get a better attitude or customers will start going elsewhere.

Recently refurbished, I'm told but not lost it's character. Managed to get a seat and enjoyed conversation with fellow customers.

Have been to Brystons Keswick many times and have never been disappointed, always calm and you are never rushed today we called in choosing the afternoon tea for two which we have been going to have for a while. All I can say is wonderful, fresh, great selection ham, egg sandwiches along with their plum bread cheese and chutney samie great, prawn cocktails, choice of scone I had date and treacle, proper size cakes (6) not those small bites size we had in well known tea shop elsewhere (not Cumbria). Couldn't eat it all so we're offered a box to bring home some our cakes fantastic. Service as always excellent, polite, friendly and professional.

We went as a family of 4 adults. We found the food excellent, I would recommend the fish pie, it was amazing. The atmosphere was typical high end country pub with roaring fire. We found the staff very welcoming and helpful having a desire to ensure we enjoyed our visit and food. Thank you

Just amazing, we stopped just by chance as needed somewhere dog friendly, had no expectations but it turned out to be fabulous. Warm welcome, food came out quickly and was delicious. Plus fantastic value for money. Just excellent 👌

Just returned from a family weekend at all saints rooms Cockermouth. And would recommend zucchinis catering who did a first-class Bbq for my 70th birthday thank you girls for your fine food and knowledge of the local area. Hope to see you again in the near future .

We often used to visit here , but haven't for a while.. Booked for lunch last week. The 3 of us all had the Christmas lunch.. We knew the portion sizes were large, so 2 of us decided on the smaller size. The food arrived hot, and as expected, plenty of it.. The turkey was excellent, carved off a breast, and everything else was very tasty. My only little issue was the pig in blanket, was a whole sausage wrapped in bacon, which seemed slightly under cooked. The staff were very friendly, and attentive. Lovely surroundings..

We visited whilst on holiday, staying in borrowdale, we have been eating in the hotel but thought we’d venture into Keswick for a meal out. The Kings arms was SO disappointing, food was terrible and the service was even worse. We’d have had a better meal at Wetherspoons! We had to ask for menus as the waitress did not give us any, the wait for food was ages and when our food arrived it was bland, clearly frozen Yorkshire puddings and frozen veg. As this hotel was part of the Lake District group we expected good things but this place was so disappointing, staff were rude and did not care about their customers and food was absolutely crap. Avoid!

Visited for breakfast we both had the full breakfast along with tea. Staff were friendly from the second we walked in. Food was lovely, great size breakfast, will definitely visit again when we back in Keswick in February.

Amazing find! Ate here last night after staying in Rosthwaite and having limited options as we had not booked anywhere in advance. We were greater by really friendly staff, a cosy informal atmosphere and a great menu. I am usually a bit dubious about pub fish and chippy, usually preferring to go to an actual chippy, but WOW! They were amazing! We were both really impressed. Great portions after a day walking in Borrowdale and so so tasty. Good range of beers on tap too.
