Absolute gem of a place! The food is so incredible! Their âposhâ chips are out of this world and their belly pork is stunning!! The smell of the fire fills the surrounding area (and smells great!)
The guys absolutely beam with enthusiasm and pride and are so friendly! Quickly becoming a regular treat in our household and very lucky to have it in our area!
What an amazing resource this is and much needed, it is so good to be able to stop for refreshments in a friendly and welcoming environment. The menu is good and reasonably priced and the service is excellent
This is the perfect venue, friendly and non intrusive but a listening ear if needed and the opportunity to meet others. Not everyone drives and having this cafe at the entrance is perfect for those coming on public transport or anyone just wanting a friendly Face and a drink hot meal or snack... Well done to the owner and staff.. North Tyneside council. This is a real asset and I hope it gets your continued support.

Honestly the best cupcakes I have never had. Loved them đ. The colour, flavour and the pattern everything just tied in so excellently. Definitely getting more.

Ive been using this takeaway for c.10years now and never had a bad meal from them.
The staff are very friendly and polite and the food is excellent quality and value.
My fave is a Chicken Begham Bahar Special (chunks of chicken, mince, chick peas etc) Garlic Rice, and a chapati washed down with a cold glass of beer.
Try Khans and you will never go anywhere else for Indian food.

Generous helpings of excellent food at reasonable prices, with friendly, efficient, helpful service & a patio where you can eat outdoors with a view of the River Tyne & the hills beyond. I found the place by accident, & am now a regular. I especially recommend their fried egg sandwiches (in an enormous bun), their delicious quiche, their original pasties, & their fabulous baked potatoes with salad. (And if you like spicy food, be sure to try their spicy onions - theyâre wonderful!) Oh, & donât forget to try their home-made soup đ
This is a lovely cafe. A small menu but everything is first rate. The cakes are absolutely awesome. Really good coffee. The owner is really friendly and you feel very welcome. Looking forward to coming in the summer and being able to sit outside.
Amazing place ..quality beers and wines to buy and you can also enjoy sampling in house ..lovely atmosphere , great music, warm and friendly :)
Would highly recommend a visit đ
As a visitor to the town I came across Pier Red and was made to feel very welcome. The food looked amazing but unfortunately I'd already had lunch at a chain cafe. I wish now that I'd waited. The ladies serving were so friendly and helpful . I felt very at home with a lovely chilled white wine which they recommended. The atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon was warm and friendly, I should also add the toilet was immaculate.
Letâs be honest, the food is what matters, and in this case itâs beautiful. However, as a reviewer, I need to paint the whole picture. The restaurant is a small, shabby eatery with no proper bar and itâs quite run down. The toilet is directly off the dining room so not ideal. The service is good and the food is tasty and well priced, but if youâre going for a special occasion like a birthday, Iâd have to recommend you go somewhere more upmarket. This was a curry place for years and they havenât spent money on it since. I hope they do well, and Iâll continue to go, but it feels like half a job. Dining out is a treat for most of us and we want the entire experience.
The name has now changed and has an unusual name. Best wheat free cake ever. My friend told me , when she had it. I had the usual explosive calorie cake. Perfect , probably the tastiest cheesecake I have had. The staff are so lovely .
