Venue was nice, tidy and a good atmosphere. Excellent choice of beers. Some very hard to find beers. Friendly staff. Good prices. Would come back.

Small micro pub type bar occupying the final unit before you head across the High Level Bridge from Gateshead. Some seats at street level to soak up the still wintry sunshine and big windows that dragged the sun into the bar too. Nice, simple bar with a choice of mainly non-standard beers to sample. Not a place you’ll find a pint of Carling!!

Old Co-Operative Buildings Hookergate LaneWhat a brilliant find! This little cafe is licensed, dog friendly, very inviting. Squishy sofas and proper tables and wonderfully eclectic decor. We had a hot beef sandwich with toasties, great coffee. Really close to a lovely woodland walk too. Cash is preferred to pay. Very happy to recommend ☺️

Lockhaugh RoadA fantastic little cafe in a perfect place for either walkers or to drive in for a drink or a lovely cooked sandwich. The people who run it are very polite and helpful and they keep a very clean and tidy cafe where everyone is welcome.
