What a shame . This was my first trip out after lockdown . I took my daughter for lunch . The Houmous starter was average . The tagliatelle was okay but very basic and the garlic bread like a brick . We had to keep waving for service. All the staff were miserable. Asked if everything was okay as we paid . I fedback on the bread , no apology just ‘I’ll let the chef know’ . £66 not cheap for poor basic food . The whole hotel needs investment. It’s tatty and tired . Cracked dirty walls , stained chairs , chipped sinks and fittings in the spa. Such a shame as it has such potential.

Seems decent but is now closed down

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant as we've heard such good things, and we were left incredibly disappointed, and hungry. We booked a table for 7pm with the expectation of being done by around 8:30 ready for a performance at the forum theatre at 9. We noticed that larger tables who had been seated after us were having their food orders taken before us, when our order was finally taken around 7:30, we were assured it was being placed to the front. We had ordered a set meal for 2, and the starter (basic, takeaway style chicken and sweetcorn soup) did not arrive until 8:10, we mentioned to the server that we were anxious of the time, and she assured us they were working as quickly as they could, and mentioned that there were other tables also heading to the same show. When the time got close to 8:30 we decided, reluctantly, to pay for what we had received, and left. Other tables in the same position were doing the same. The server was apologetic, and really I felt sorry for her, it obviously wasn't her fault. I'm disappointed to say the least, especially when walk-in orders for takeaway were being taken and passed out within half an hour. We definitely won't be returning.

Food always arrives nice and hot. The delivery guy is one of the friendliest I’ve ever met! Ordered multiple times and never been let down:)

Not sure if there is a new Cook as we normally have something to eat every few weeks, but the last time we were in 25 minutes later, the order hadn’t turned up so we told one of the staff and she said we’ll find out what’s happening and let you know she never came back, so we asked a different member of staff then 10 minutes later we got our food order I ordered a halloumi cheese wrap. I thought it didn’t taste right, but carried on eating it halfway through. I open the wrap and it was small chicken fillet and burnt on both sides , I am vegetarian so mentioned it to the the staff but they didn’t seem to bothered , although the service for drinks was very quick but food was very disappointing

Dreadful. £4 for a bad, cold bacon sandwich and. £2 for a bad instant coffee. £6 wasted. Certainly would not recommend. Very poor.
